It seems impossible to not feel more motivated after listening to Todd. Wonderful episode
Thanks for listening!
@@inkpulp thanks for giving us a real look behind the scenes. I could easily enjoy a stream of watching all 3 of you just create art, but getting that view of the person on the other side of the table and what goes into the art is equally as fascinating🤘
TM was exactly was what was needed in the 1990s.
So many great artists got financially screwed over in the 1950s - 1980s.
Todd is everywhere rn
😂👏
I was thinking the same thing
Probably did not want to get drowned out by the holidays.
Hes a machine!
Listening to this this while drawing at 245am. So inspiring. Really appreciate this podcast.
Thanks for listening!
Hell yeah man same here
Todd is absolutely the MAN! His tenacity really is something to be emulated and admire imo for us artists. I know I really struggle with believing in my own artwork, I see all the flaws and negative crap SO easily it can really hold me back. I am absorbing that Todd mentality because fuck missing out on life anymore. Thanks, Todd!
Love it!
LETS GOOOOOO, thank you guys for this interview!
Thanks for listening!
Ridiculously inspiring podcast. Thanks for the wisdom.
He is amazing! Thanks for listening!
“Marvel will take me back tomorrow..” - lol, I love it
He's the best!
100% correct! Speaking as a creator, unless you are work-for-hire, you create what you love and put it out there, regardless of what anyone thinks, negatively or positively - and whether it's perfect or not (nothing is ever perfect in anyway shape or form!). It doesn't matter. Of course, it helps to have an audience, realistically speaking not every comics creator has the fan following that Todd does, so that you can, first sell your comics and second, to stay in business. And that is what Todd is saying; he has been creating comics since he was 23 or 24 years old - almost 40 years now. But in the end, what a creator of comics creates, he or she creates it for the love they have for whatever it is they are creating. Cheers and Happy New Year, 2024:-) AGL
Well said and all true! Happy New Years!
@@inkpulp LOVE your channel, Amigos:-)
Hi I just saw your comment after rewatching this Todd McFarlane interview. It really gave me that extra boost of confidence to keep creating no matter what people think. Not to be scared to put what I have out into the world. I wish you tons of success with your business or other creating ventures ✨️
Thanks! And Good luck to you too!@@GEORGIOARCADE
@inkpulp hey thanks so much for taking the time to send that kind reply. I wish you continued success with your podcast 😁🙏🏼✨️
If that doesn't boost your determination I don't know what will. Thanks coach!
LOL! Awesome!
This is like a magnum opus speech! "On my best and worst day I average out to zero." Mind blowing. "You should spend your time and money doing what you like."
And just like that...Smokey the Bear's message became so much more profound. Excellent interview.
Right?!?!?!!?
This is awesome! Todd is the industries biggest cheerleader, and it's impossible not to get excited and pumped listening to him. Thanks for this guys!
Love this dude! He is part of the reason I got back into drawing. I self published a book last year that went really well to the point I’m making a full time living now as an indie writer. Todd was an important part of my childhood. I remember going to the comic book store with my Dad, and discovering Spawn by accident. Been hooked ever since
Increíble charla con la LEYENDA!!!
Epic!
Thanks Siya!
People needing validation for their beliefs on the internet…strong insight. They’re in trouble unless they find some absolutes outside of the opinions of others.
Great interview. Todd is inspiring. 😊
Great episode! Todd is my hero. Love his perspective as it can apply to so much. I'm going to go forward and prevent forest fires myself.
Hell Yeah!
I've heard Todd basically say the same thing in a few different videos, but damn if it isn't a breath of fresh air every single time! Really made my day! Keep going everyone!
Thanks for listening! And yeah, hes consistent lol!
Real talk to it's finest, I wish more open dialogue was shared in the community from pros like Todd on a regular. Real inspiring guys, taht's why I love this show.
Thanks for listening!
Another Todd Mcfarlane classic to pump one up to advocate for themselves!
Great discussion gentlemen
Hell Yeah!
I say this about every episode but damn do I mean it even more this time, Great episode!!!
If a comics career is your passion and this epsiode doesn't light a fire under your ass I dont know what will.
I would definitely drink the cult of Todd kool-aid!
Hell yeah!
Awesome! Todd is the best!
Great discussion! Great work! Loved this!!
Thank you!
I really love hearing Todd speak. The man is very intelligent and gives great life advice. Great job landing this interview with him.
Little constructive criticism would be to be quiet while the man is speaking. You ask h8m a question, he starts talking at length and we as the listeners do not need you to say, “yeah, uh huh, mmhmm, yes, yep, yeah yeah, okay” or anything like that. The great interviewers ask the question and let the person speak. They stay quiet. You just sit there and nod your head in agreement instead of audibly responding. That made it difficult to listen to at times.
Positive is I really enjoyed the questions you asked and how professional everyone was, except the dude who interrupted Todd kid story because his gf was locked out of the house.
Also, I’m here to listen to Todd talk. Not listen to Mateo’s life story. Dude just needs to be quiet and let the guest talk.
Aw man, great episode! Really inspiring! Loved what he had to say
Thanks for listening!
More Todd!!
Yes please!
That's inspiring. I'm currently houseless. I'm doing all my comic art stuff out of my Dodge caravan. Plus. It is difficult to make the break. But I'm in it to win . There isn't comic book artists in La,Ca90044😎✌️. I keep my portfolio work on me thank g. O. D....
Amazing! Great Episode!
Thank you!
13:52 Good advice. Why gripe, when you can move on?
It's awesome to see someone who has been successful for so many years still be so motivated. Great podcast guys, loved hearing Todd's perspective on things.
It really is awesome! Thanks for listening!
Yay, something inspiring for the treadmill tomorrow to kick off the New Year, thanks Uncle Todd!
Love that!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥WOW!
I know! Crazy!
Holy smokes! My favorite toy creator!
Hell yeah!
Listened 2 times, just great. Tks guys 😉
Love it!
Fantastic video gents. Todd rules. Keep doing more videos like this. P.S. Scalera rules!
The way Todd thinks… is outstanding
It is!
That's it, business model settled. Man that was inspiring! Thanks guys!
Thanks for listening!
3:47 Mateo needs some manners! >:I Seriously!!!! Man is passionate about telling something and you interrupt?! >:I If you're gonna be sorry for something, DON'T DO IT in the first place!!!! >:I Get some manners! >:I If something be making a point, take a note and back track when he is done talking!!!! >:I
Then he started talking about himself on a totally unrelated topic, fucking baseball... wtf.
That was so ill. Thanks fellas!
It was amazing!
todd could have a 20th career as a motivational speaker
Wow! Incredibly interview/talk. Gotta ask though why was he in a serial killer apartment (lol) like no furniture or photos? Eric can relate some :P
AHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Since everything else has been said.....
...Steve Carell and Todd McFarlane kind of have a similar voice XD
Great interview : )
LOLOLOLOLOL! Thank you!
Comic Jesus himself! LET' GOOO!
Yes! Its Epic!
Fuck. This was so good.
Thank you! and Thanks for listening!
todd is better than coffee
Todd should refrain from caffeine before interviews. Geez Louise
Thats just how he AWLAYS is!
He doesn't drink coffee.
Todd so damn cocky lol . I guess that’s how you gotta be to a degree in the industry. A humble cocky
Confident, yeah... but i never got cocky from him.
Its a great interview. But the summary of Todd's points and common sense is deeply annoying. Who is telling who bud? Lol.
