- The walleyes this sprang have been lots o' fun.. And while I was still targeting the wallets prettier cousin, the sauger, that is not what I ended up catching. I traveled back to the same spillway as the day before, because it went pretty dern well for being the local poopy creek. After 100 casts without a bite, or hell maybe even 200, I was starting to scheme a backup plan. Then I hooked what I believed to be a log, that ended up being the furthest thing from a log.

That was a beautiful Flathead🤘 but as an avid fisherman and Outdoorsman my favorite part of this video is at the end when you cleaned up a bunch of other people's other people's crap I appreciate that so much😎 I do it every time I go to the hole I have a grocery sack in my pocket and I can fill it up every time I go there you're a conservationist at heart and I love you for that❤ thanks for the videos😇

Since those bubbles are happening time and time again, it’s most likely decomposing matter. Decomposition creates gases that eventually escape.

@@PigPatrolTV here in eastern Kentucky they are more yellow or brown some are dark but I've landed a 72lbs flathead so I know they can get big good luck man

Good on you for cleaning up your fishing hole!!! I had a similar experience this season at one of the two fishing spots that are productive right now. I was disappointed someone was that lazy and disrespectful to leave trash everywhere. Oh yeah, sometimes snagging a fish just happens! I fish this one creek every fall and it produces a decent silver salmon run and I must have snagged 4-5 silvers fly fishing in one hour!!! Trying to land fish over 10 pounds in heavy current on a fly rod is disappointing and time consuming!! It happens.

Thanks for the video Josh ! I have an answer about the bubbles for you. Do you remember in the movie Blazing Saddles when the posse stopped for the night? All of the boys were sitting around the chuckwagon eating beans. It was a virtual fart festival, kinda like a symphony. I think that's what's going on beneath the surface of the water. Instead of a posse of cowboy thugs however, it's a posse of big, fat, farting, flatheaded kitty-fish. Now you know. If you never saw Blazing Saddles before, maybe it's time you did.

The processes of decomposition creates methane gas bubbles. When disturbed it releases. Learned that putting docks out up north. My guess would be a fish on the bottom getting spooked and taking off hitting a more broad area.

@@PigPatrolTV Yeah. That’s the only explanation unless you believe the “giant flathead” theory. But seriously, it most likely a gas main or a sewer force main. Gas is not difficult to explain but those sewer mains kick on and off according to “peek” use. So like 6-9 and 5-9. Powerful pumps kick on and can sometimes blow air threw the system. Usually they will use a ARV (air relief valve). Those are usually marked with a 32” manhole lid. Much larger than a sewer manhole lid.
My guess is that it’s a gas leak.

You cant help snagging fish.. its not like youre out there TRYING to snagem' anyway.. and those big ass bubbles look like Blues rolling on top of the water. So not sure if there are blues there, but here, on the Cape Fear...at the start of spring, the Blues will roll on the top of the water running through schools of shad ...and it looks EXACTLY like that. This time of year i use cut bait on a cork in the river. Just started back watching the channel...just had knee replacement so ill have time to catch up with you and Spencer 😂 Lovve the content!!!
