Sure it's fun driving out to the middle of nowhere to a place that is barely violated and catching fish that are a few colors short of a crayon box, but.. Hear me out. There's also a feeling of satisfaction from fishing in a concrete jungle for fish that get fished for all day everyday. It's not always the easiest, these spots definitely can be the snaggiest, but.. They hold some quality inner city fishing opportunities. Clint and I headed back to the big city walkway bridge with one thing on our mind.. WHALEYE.

Greetings and salutations had me a great day of fishing caught 9 10 and 11 inch bluegill and broke my PB by catching a 14 pound blue cat on my ultra light creek fishing rod those gills were delicious

@@stephenballard3759 I'm in Illinois bluegill and crappie bite is banging sauger and walleye white bass have started a little slow but is getting much better but crappie and bluegill popping hard

Couple,little walleye this morning, then my cat brought in a ɓady rabbit, quite the adventure in the trailer,baby rabbit let loose
I learned new trick put a small light weight bobber 1-2ft above your jig suppose to keeping it just off the bottom

Though it would be probably easier if the made the jig or hook float itself just enough to stay couple inches off bottom

Nice video. Although I live in Colorado, I spend a lot of time in Oklahoma (and Nebraska). I was fishing a big river there a couple weeks ago below a dam (wiper and white bass being the target species). Did really well with a popping cork rig. Couldn't get much on the same jig just cast out in the river. But you put it about 3' below that popping cork, chug it loud, it gets their attention, and they see the jig (3" plastic shad) dancing underneath it and crush it. As I was watching you fish that slack water I couldn't help but think about it. It's an old technique my grandpa taught me years ago, it really works on striper/wiper/white bass. @@ethansimplot664 No, 'cuz' I have family in Oklahoma, and a buddy who owns a ranch in Nebraska. I do a lot of fishing while I'm there. Colorado has excellent fishing though, just gotta know the where, when and how.

Maybe try a slip float in the super raging stuff to stay out of the snags, it's very effective on the rivers in NY with the same stuff you cast, swimbaits and jigs just keeps you out of the snags

Hey man, avid fisherman here in IA. Try the Scott Ave bridge next time! I’ve pulled some big Walkeyes out below that damm (where DM River and Raccoon River meet)
I know you love spillways so if you get a chance try Saylorville Spillway and the Big Creek Spillway. Both just just north of Des Moines. Pulled lots of nice fish from both over the years so I’m sure you’d hammer them!

Was on the Mississippi this afternoon about 10 miles down river from one of the floats you were on with Clint last fall. Did pretty well, ended the day with 9 big 10-13" perch and 6 gills around 8". Fish Taco's for lunch tomorrow for sure.

I had some kids drop full 20 oz bottles at me off a 80-100’ up bridge when fishing. I quickly went under bridge, damn hellions. I was downtown urban fishing. They added fence to bridge now.
Snagged lures? About two years ago I lost a lure and three months later fishing the same spot I caught my own lure which, in turn, caught a small largemouth as I was reeling it in. That’s now my favorite lure.

Not sure where you are coming from. If you're there, try Scott Street downstream a mile or so. North of Des Moines go to Waterworks dam in Boone and the Frazer dam.
