This song wasn't released until 2002 or so. Felt great to hear Kurt's voice again. The lyrics once again tho, make it sound like he knew what was coming.

Good reaction. In what I've read I believe Kurt really liked the way words sounded together more than the particular meanings of words. He always was just so flippant when he would be interviewed about his lyrics but I speculate the words had more meaning than he led on

you should check out the original lyrics for the first version of this song. holy shit. blatantly about courtney and leaving her.
I don't need to love again
I won't sigh and mope again
I just don't need to love again
      Somewhere I don't know
      I don't really love her
      I don't think I want her
Ain't gonna take to love again
It's the way your love hurts
It's the way, you're mad again
      I don't think I'll love again
      I won't ever promise her
      I don't think I want her
      This time no one else
I don't bear to follow you
      I don't ever promise you
      Sometimes I don't love you
Think I'm tired of loving her
I don't really want to love
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      You know you're right
You told me to follow him
Teach him that I loved him
      I won't ever promise you
      I won't even bother to
You gave me my first kiss
      I don't think I want it now
      I don't ever want again
It's all that I had to have
      It's all that I wanted
It's all that I had to
      I don't think I'll miss her
      I don't think I want her
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      Pain
      You know you're right

I do think his words or lyrics are 100% purposeful. But as with the Beatles, who he really idolized and took a lot of musical inspiration from, he didn't like his lyrics to be ripped apart and put under a microscope. So instead of having to explain every song he put out, he just said they have no meaning. But I think it was a indirect way to say that the listeners should find their own meaning.

They are the last great band, great because of the tragedy that ended their recording career, he had the world at his feet, but world wanted too much in return. There is good bands still out there, they come along, but nirvana will never be diluted, never play a 40 year reunion, they will always encapsulate a time, a shift of the worlds axis, that those of us who where able to experience it will never forget, or forgive that we didn’t do more, and now we go to concerts of those bands who carried on, now playing the tours of albums from a time when we was young, trying to relive, recapture that time when we thought we could change everything, and all that lay ahead of us was possibilities.

You guys may not know this, but Kurt was going to name this song "I Hate Myself and I want to Die".. Nirvana/Kurt saved my life, literally.. I broke my back in 1993 and ended up Totally disabled from it.. I was 23 years old.. Once I realized that everything about my future was destroyed, I planned on ending my life.. The angst and Rage of Nirvana's music had the exact same feeling that I was going through in my life at that time.. I felt like I wasn't alone.. I wasn't the only person who felt the way as I did about life and everything in it.. Then Kurt passed away and it really effected me Deeply.. His death helped me find my way out of the darkness and gave me the will to want to live.. I became a Buddhist and have been so for the last 26 years.. The teachings of Buddha gave me the tools I desperately needed to ride out this thing called life.. Thank to Siddhartha and Kurt Cobain, I am still here.. I will see you on the other side Kurt, my brother.. Much love and respect to you for doing this video.. Peace 2 U

This is the last Nirvana song. I was lucky to grow up during this era - there will be nothing like the Seattle rock scene ~1990-1997. There will be other great music scenes but in Seattle… to be in those shows, the mosh pits, the comradarie and love of rock ’n’ roll. Very special. Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼 ℁

This was Kurt cobains last statement.
It’s powerful, goosebump raising, a testament to his music, and prophecy of what was soon to come.
25 years after this was written this is just as powerful and shocking to hear as the day it was written. This was from a man so clearly screaming out hurting, yet... who would have guessed at the time. Hindsight’s 20/20.
Be there for a friend if you might think they are hurting. I missed the chance with my best friend and now he’s gone..
Hard drugs are just a bandaid to someone hurting just like alcohol is too, it’s the same thing.
There is a pain that isn’t being filled inside and it needs to be identified and stopped.
Imagine Cobain. He was at the highest heights a person could reach and at such a young age, and his problems outside of this was still too much. It goes to show that success doesn’t equal happiness.
    Sorry you were hurting Kurt.
Hope you find peace, my friend.

Hey, im not one whose big into conspiracies, but this song... especially being his last... really makes it hard to not believe he was murdered. Like i mean its all about Courtney, and how he seems tp feel inferior to her... like she beat him down... and it sounds like he's ready to divorce, and what do you know, he's found dead in his house in the most sketchy crime scene on the planet -> literally impossible for him to kill himself
-> the ultimate divorce Courtney is known for...
but Great reaction, im glad you guys were able to get the message out of the song... many people just go, "hmm, the songs over. Sounded powerful but we dont have a clue what the lyrics were."
