You just hit me with a nostalgia brick. I wish I had some archive footage (thanks for ending video support, Xfire) because working on Halo game mods put a lot of us into developer careers and it would be fun to hear our squeaker voices again.
I always make custom Slayer and Infection modes on Halo Reach. My favorite mode that I created is called Ghosts N' Spartans where the infected player has great camo, runs at high speed, jumps very high, doesn't show on human maps and has 200% damage resistance. The humans armor abilities can't run out and has bottomless clip activated so it makes the game mode pretty tricky but if your good with headshots, you would probably last for a good 20 min before dying.

4 had my favorite infection. Mostly because it was the first Halo game I owned, though I had played 3 and Reach previously, but I also just have great memories with my group of friends.
Definitely halo 3 sand trap. Running after warthogs, fleeing from the horde as the last man standing. Or reach, I really enjoyed everything about reach
Luke nice vid, halo reach did have the best infection, i remember the greatest feeling was actually surviving a round a being the last man, those were the days. The grind was real for those cR's
i never really played infection throughout halo 3-4 and after watching this video I feel like i missed out on a pretty vital and fun part of the casual halo experience
Funeral Oak7 i dont think it's fair to include halo 5 in the "who has the strongest" series mainly because halo 5 has about 3 to 4 variants of every single enemy so pretty much the last level variant of an enemy is always going to be stronger than previous enemies because they designed them to be stronger. That's my opinion
+Aj A-109 No way in hell is Reach's campaign better than 3. Just look at the map design, the variety of enemies and weapons; and you would know which one is better.
Ive been playing halo for 5 years now and my first game was mcc I remember me and my dad sitting in corners on infection in halo 3 and holding down rooms we weren’t the best but it was really fun and nostalgic to me
CP4UYA as a generic, sci-fi shooter, halo 5 multiplayer is ok at best, I'm disgusted that warzone is entirely pay to win, and social playlists are still still based matchmade. But as a halo title, the multiplayer experience is absolutely garbage. The worst I have ever seen. Even worse than halo 4.
I was just an assassin infection in Halo 2 Anniversary. I just knew were the go and were the shotguns are. This made it easy to sneak up on people and get like 3-4 kills without dying. Sometimes I get away but other times not so really.
When I play Infection: Survivors are doing great! I'm still alive, slice, s*** I'm dead. I sneak up on 2 enemy's and kill em'. *1 minute later*! Infected Victory!
I started playing multi-player halo with halo 4, and never really played flood mode cause I'm bad, but now when I play guardians I can actually enjoy infection
Halo REACH's Alpha Zombies was the best Infection in my opinion. The first 3 Zombies were a bit faster than the regular ones, which made starting as a Zombie not totally unfair for you. It was a game mode that was challenging for every participating player, while keeping a very nice balance between the two "factions" of Zombied and Survivors. Definintely one of the best, if not THE best, version of Infection.
To my knowledge, the gametype was actually created by a buddy of mine during middle school. He didnt really like halo multiplayer much, but was down to play custom games. After watching a few george a romero zombie movies, he brought up the idea to try to make a zombie mode in halo. Before then, I had never played or even heard of the concept, and after inviting a bunch of my online friends to join, I saw that they started to host the gametype as well and would join them. After a little while I saw people I didnt know playing the gametype as well. So, if it isnt just coincidental: you're welcome!
Halo 2 Anniversary is easily the best. Halo 5 is visually pleasing, but it's lack of user friendliness, lack of classic Forge pieces, and lack of bug fixing for scripting makes it one of the worst Forges in the franchise.
+just a random person Halo 5 is most definately the worst. The cool thing about Forge was that anybody could make something cool just by goofing off or dicking around, in Halo 5 the only good maps I've seen are those made by people who take days, even weeks to build a map. You can't make anything cool unintenionally in Halo 5, making it the worst Forge in the fracnhise. Sure Halo 3 has a severe lack of features but not only was it the first Forge, but people managed to utilize it. Now I'd say Halo 3 would be tied with Halo 5 for the worst Forge once again due to lack of user friendliness, but Halo 3 actually has something the other Halos have that Halo 5 doesn't, a good symbiotic relationship between Forge and Custom games. That's what truly makes Halo 5 the worst forge, is that yes there are a LOT of possibilities with it, but only if you have the time and patience to learn it, something a lot of players don't want to put up with, but the custom games in Halo 5 are horrendous. There's hardly any decent customizable options that actually work, remember the ammo counter in H5? Forge and Custom games have to be equally great in order for the Forge to live up to it's full potential, something that Halo 5 can't even comprehend. It's such a bad game overall that it doesn't surprise me that Forge sucks.
I just love how in the entire history of the Halo franchise two extremely popular fan favorite game modes got their start in custom games. Wow that's really cool and it really shows how important custom games and even later on Forge were to halo and still are to this day. Infection was started by the community itself back in the Halo 2 days and Grifball got it's start in Halo 3 thanks to the Red vs Blue folks at Rooster Teeth. I'm really hoping Halo 6 will have grifball seeing how it was in Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5 Guardians and Halo Reach. I also hope gungoose ctf makes a comeback someday because that game mode was freaking fun and awesome in Halo 2 anniversary. :)
Lol I can't believe you said halo reach infection was the most balanced. XD There are so many videos of people getting 100+ kills in a round. Halo 4's infection was the most balanced after they updated it.
That’s because world class players create new accounts or get on there friends and pretend to get hundreds of kills cause the LORE preachers and the freakin kids who said they didn’t like forge and how the maps where costum made and small so they had to make the game look bad so they made it looked extremely unbalanced I have never gotten over 20 kills in a match and I am a Brigrader (excuse my spelling) but halo reach and halo 5 where the most balanced I stopped playing halo 4 because it was a rushed game and everything was unbalanced. And DLCs were the only way to have fun.
I find halo 3 to be the best in my opinion if your good enough you can infect the whole human team but i have also gotten 70 kills as a human with no help from friends
Halo 5 has my favorite infection. I already have one infection video on my Halo channel and I'm definitely gonna post more videos about Halo 5 and infection
Do you know a website called The SCP Foundation? It holds lots of articles that are similar to the Flood like SCP-610 and there's even a flesh god in it.
I saw that flood firefight mod. Infected carrier engineers blowing up into flood infection forms, being able to get infected forcing you to kill your previous mutated self when you respawn... Makes you wonder what it could be if it were officially supported.
I love infection. It was my favorite game mode in halo ce even knowing back then there was no infection, in ce it was basically slayer but when you were a zombie you rather had a skill to whack people with or an empty gun mainly a pistol. It was fun but the humans would always camp in certain spots where it was hard to get them. The zombies would only win by luck and numbers.
Halo Reach had the Best Infection game type period, untill 343i fucked up swordbase removing the camping spot from on top of the map, removing spots from boardwalk and introducing deformed maps like "uncaged".
Halo 4 wasn’t balanced in terms of Infection but they did nail the idea for the zombies being Flood infections. There was something so damn horrifying about that squeal they did as they came bursting into the room. I would really like that design to make a return and set a better trend for the flood infection idea.
My favourite is halo reaches infection, however I used to play a lot of halo 4 zombies local with three friends, and on normal maps it can be quite fun.
Halo Custom Edition had an infection mode that many would play. Humans were pretty OP but due to the long matches and large servers, time and numbers eventually overwhelmed.

Thank you my friend. Finally someone gives halo 4 the credit it deserves
Thing is, that kind of thing doesn't happen often, I've played zombies several times and no one has even come close to having that amount of kills
Elan Sleazebaganno Halo 4s was best
Halo 5 has my favorite infection. I already have one infection video on my Halo channel and I'm definitely gonna post more videos about Halo 5 and infection
Do you know a website called The SCP Foundation?
It holds lots of articles that are similar to the Flood like SCP-610 and there's even a flesh god in it.
Also scp 001 when day breaks
Halo reach is definitely my favorite. I played it a lot with my friends and it was such a fun experience
Halo 3 odst infection...
Yes... because that's definitely a thing... that exists...
Yeah those odst flood with cracked helmets and mini energy swords where amazing just like the mini plasma rifle
acctually it is true since halo 3 odst works alot like halo 3 itself you can add the flood to firefight makeing it kinda spooky...
I saw that flood firefight mod. Infected carrier engineers blowing up into flood infection forms, being able to get infected forcing you to kill your previous mutated self when you respawn... Makes you wonder what it could be if it were officially supported.
Possibly halo wars 2 awakening the nightmare in first perosn mode.
Halo 3 Infection on the endless foundry masterpieces will never be topped
I liked halo reaches
I never really liked playing infection but after playing Reach's infection I got hooked
Agreed halo reach and halo 5 were the best
nice use of CellDwellers Arbiter theme music for showcasing halo 5 infection
Halo 5 has pretty good infection lul
Spoox yesssss
Spoox 😠😠😠😠😠
No, it's trash, the spartan abilities ruin it, the zombies are far too weak, and the stupid energy sword smart link ruins it.
Well, as of Season 6 in MCC, you can now change teams again. Halo 2 Classic Zombies lives again!
I think we can all agree Reach had the best infection.
Loved the halo 4 flood combat forms, but really love most of the halo 5 infection maps
fifty first!
Khizar Rehman everything u just said is wrong
Uncaged was the best map though.
Nihilus isnt uncage the deformed version of the map
I remember back in halo 2 the proximity voice was on and the killer would play Michael Myers music so you knew when he was near.
I REALLY loved Reach's Alpha Zombies. That was the stuff.
Halo 4 wasn’t balanced in terms of Infection but they did nail the idea for the zombies being Flood infections. There was something so damn horrifying about that squeal they did as they came bursting into the room. I would really like that design to make a return and set a better trend for the flood infection idea.
I'm a sweaty Halo 5 ranked player but I always love playing laid back game types like Infection👏
You are the smartest gamer ever!!. You tell me history of halo and and how good the game is
My favourite is halo reaches infection, however I used to play a lot of halo 4 zombies local with three friends, and on normal maps it can be quite fun.
I never know about how it started and now I do thanks
Nothing like a dozen humans on Sword Base cramped into a small hallway with only one entrance
I actually really liked the infection mode in Halo 4 when playing on LAN with my friends. It was crazy and fast paced.
this is my favorite mode and I play it almost every day
Halo Custom Edition had an infection mode that many would play. Humans were pretty OP but due to the long matches and large servers, time and numbers eventually overwhelmed.
