I'd imagine though from the books explaining master cheifs upbringing in the Spartan program that hed probably have alot of scars and the fact that he was turned into a super soldier who grew like an extra 3 feet that it would have a transformation on the skin all over his body.

It is my opinion that we were never meant to see Chief's face, we can see John's face, but not Chief's. When I say John, I mean the child, and the teen, the the Spartan. Bungie didn't want us to feel as though the Chief was another person, I believe that Bungie wanted us to BE the Chief. Much like Link from the original LoZ's, we are the protagonist. But that's just how I feel.

As a LOVER of the Halo series, my opinion is that we should never see his face until we see his end. One of his key traits is that he is shrouded in mystery, so are the hints about his appearance. they are never a mandatory thing to see! If ever we break that barrier, it's like breaking his character, and that should never happen to such a legendary character like Chief himself.

THE ANDROID GAMER I loved Halo 4's campaign, but the multiplayer probably is the worst of the series. I didn't really like Halo 5's campaign, but the multiplayer is amazing.
Halo 4's story was fine, even good, at least some aspects of it were great. Halo 4's problems were the gameplay, art style, soundtrack and general atmosphere (it didn't really feel like a Halo game). Halo 5 on the other hand has great gameplay in my opinion, but dropped the ball on the story. Soundtrack's a bit better, but that's about it. Halo 6 needs to somehow solve all those problems while having both a great story and great gameplay.

Damn, really made me rethink how I feel about Halo 4’s campaign. Nothing will ever beat the original three games, but it was cool to see character development in 4. Then they really fucked it up with 5. Not holding my breath going forward though lol bring back Joseph Staten then we can talk!
Interestingly, I did NOT like that the Chief went through character development in Halo 4. Normally I'm all about back story and growing characters, but the first three Halo games established the Chief simply as the medium in which the player saw the story. This is not to be mistaken with him BEING the story. Halo's 1 - 3 told the story of the Human-Covenant War. The new Halo's tell the story of the Chief after the war. I enjoyed having the Chief be this bare-bones connection between the player and the game. It was almost as if the player was the Chief. I suppose that's Bungie's writing style though, if you look at the Chief, ODST's Rookie, and Destiny's Guardians. This style also connects players to other characters so well, which I think is very important to Halo's success. Sgt Johnson was the Man, but who the hell is Vale?
Bungie's storytelling is overrated. And to be frank, the way they handled MC's character was awful. 343 made the right decision giving him development and a personality.

You lost me a little in that first paragraph. Second paragraph, new players haven't seen a simple shooter in a while. No sprint, no armor abilities, no micro transactions and random loot crates, etc. Not sure if that's what you're going for though. Thing is, its become much more difficult to be innovative. Anybody can make a game these days and a most ideas have been used. The most innovative thing lately was building in a shooter (Fortnite). That game's popularity definitely shows people like new things, but it's hard to introduce new things when you have an established name already (which connects to your third paragraph)

I think he should take his helmet off when he finally talks to cortana like a person. They will meet and haver some sort of heart-to-heart, and as the only person he has ever cared about he should show her his face, and show us finally that he really is human after everything thats happened.

This is a TAD late - but chief's face got ruined when the librarian altered his body to become immune to some of the didact's powers (in halo 4 aswell). We then get a peek at his eyes, and professionals have reverse engineered his body + face... to also look like a forerunner. So his face is now forerunner unfortunately.

I believe the only time he should show his face would be at the end of the franchise. In a game that involves him, Cortana, the rest of humanity and other species united to save something (perhaps the galaxy or even the universe). And at the climax of the game, as he struggles to complete his goal, he loses parts of his armor, leaving exposed and visible parts of his skin. The visor of the helmet cracking, and at the end, with the visor breaking, revealing much of his face. During that climax there could be a song that would intensify the moment.
But for this game to be really good, I think it should have a development of John's personality and the relationship between him and Cortana.
This need not necessarily be the last game in the franchise, it just has to be the end of something and the beginning of something else. For example, John succeeds or fails in his goal, and is accidentally sent to the past (perhaps along with Cortana?), At a time when the Forerunners were still alive with ancient humanity. From that point they would try to figure out how this happened, and possibly getting involved in the story and being the key to killing Flood (at least most of it) in the past. This would allow developers to develop the franchise's past history and continue the franchise's history. I would really like to hear from you about this idea of mine.

I think the character of MC pretty much revolves around the fact that even he doesn't know if he can consider himself human anymore. Especially in the newer games it seems he's actually starting to care about that question though. He doesn't know the answer, but he's trying to figure it out. I think the only appropriate way to show his face in a game would be if he comes to the conclusion that he _is_ still human, and sort of embraces that fact by looking into a mirror or something.
