Did the same. Bought one, then 4.
I have 3 in my Domane. One is hanging off my handlebar bike bag. In plain sight. A thief could steal the bike and remove and toss it. A second is in my Downtube’s internal storage cavity, in the included tool pouch. Both of these have their internal sound active. Will chirp if you activate. A thief could hear and remove this one too.
The last has the sound deactivated. Was easy to do. Thank you TH-cam! I had it placed in the bottom bracket. Thief would never ever find it!
$75 protects my very expensive favorite child.

Thanks for pumping out all the videos the last few days. I am a big fan of your work since subscribing earlier this year. I don't use the Apple ecosystem so I was thinking of getting tiles but not sure how effective they would be.

Very cool. I've always thought about taping one INSIDE my storage compartment on my Domane in case it ever got stolen. Also, you're probably better off hanging the tag inside the bag while traveling, less risk of it being knocked off in transit or worse, taken off by someone
I’ve heard lots of people are placing theirs inside of the compartment.
Tenerife sounds like a great adventure. I had fun spending a long week in Madeira, a similar little Portuguese island a couple hundred miles north. If Tenerife is similarly mountainous, you have a good workout in front of you.
It’s been great, Ichiro and as you said, a good workout for sure. It’s climb after climb after climb. But a great time for sure.

I have one in my Domane down tube. It costs too much to insure the bike so I keep one in the tool bag.

In regards to this video, i got 1 air tag for my sl5 and put it in the down tube. I got the case for it on Amazon so it can stick without any issues. If anyone is interested in the one i got, its "lizhi silicone case for airtag sticker". No problems for me so far. However, after your story, i went and got insurance immediately lol. Also, i dont think id ever take it on a plane because of you. I still cant understand why the airline wouldn't pay for something their employee did. If anything, id take my verve if i really wanted my bike with me.

Pretty good question, lots of fine print to go through. Usually they don’t lose it, usually send it to wrong airport. However, I would assume if it is a totally lost and not able to be found, I would assume.
Great tool to have. What if the person that finds your bag has an android how will the device alert you? Is it compatible with all platforms? is there a distance radius limit for tracking?
It will alert you using any device. Including android. Not compatible with all platforms to locate. No distance, at least none reported.
Is there something like this for Android?
Only thing I can think of are “tiles” but not sure how well those would work.
