  • This bike is just as good as it was when I rode the 2017 version of it. It's really a great all around machine with nice styling, decent ergonomics and enough power to keep you smiling for days! If I went back to Japanese bikes I would definitely pick myself up a CBR!

      Got a ‘17, still my favorite liter bike in terms of looks and handling. It’s also lighter than most and “looks” smaller. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s got lesser aftermarket parts. It’s harder to find certain “upgrades” compared to say an R1 or ZX10R.

    I have the 2018 CBR1000RR because of her looks, reliability, and comfort, in comparison with other 1000cc bikes. The only modifications that it has are the Power Commander V, Auto tuner,K&N air filter, Akropovic full exhaust, lever, and sliders, just in case. I got it brand new with zero miles in 2019, and it now has 20,000 miles and is PAID OFF :).

I tested a drag race against a R1 and RSV4 and the other 2 bikes are just slightly faster on a straight road. For the streets the blade is the perfect supersport bike if you have some nice twisites. It has something better.
      Average MPG and a fuel consumption read out.
      If you know the bike has a 4.3Gal tank and you've used 3.3 gallons and average 46 mpg then you know you have atleast 40 more miles until empty.
      Plus then it's below 1 gallon it tells you LOW on the dash and tells you your distance until empty.

      Honda is like Gopro... They intentionally give you a barebones unit/product and make their money selling you accessories that the bike should have come with in the very beginning. Honda has always been behind in power. Even the CBR900rr was a chunk of power below the zx9r. Then the 929 while others were making 1000s, then still the 954 while everyone else was making 1000s. I read an article where the program manager for the 900rr said "I will always shed weight before I add power." The very foundation of the idea behind the bike is to not really put power as a priority. I love the honda for the agile, reliable and predictable handling, but then we must accept the flaw in the foundation of that idea...it comes with less power.

    People talking about power and tunes .....
    I'm looking at a COMFORTABLE motorcycle as far as the seat with the HP to ride it. I recently sat on the 2024 with my feet flat. Im not even into the ecu thing or tuning a motorcycle etc etc. i dont plan on racing i just want a faster bike that has proof of longevity. Sure, i could rock a Ducati, but then theres MV Augusta that makes Ducati's look like regular bike. The cbr1000rr isnt that far in price from like a 2023 MV Augusta F3... I dont get why ppl want to ride the bikes from WSBK and MotoGP without the actual parts those teams are using. Like bro... Yall don't even wear gear.

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I used to be all about tuning and power gains but now I don’t even care. I track my bikes but I am not racing so a stock bike on the track is good enough for me. I went with an MV Agusta F3 because it was different and more exclusive. Felt it was more special than my Panigale 1199. More people have Ducatis. The CBR is a nice bike and lots of people sleep on Honda. If I were to get one I would love to have a CBR1000 RRR. But after riding lots of bikes, owning liter bikes and 600’s I am actually happier with smaller bikes vs liter bikes. As people get older they start to realize, but all the younger guys are all about speed, power and clout. lol It is what it is.
