Then people can mod it up when they have a little saved (or finance it) and you get the money on the back end. Dodge needs to get back to basics. The average working person would love to have a basic vehicle that they can modify on their own! Dodge did make a truck back in the late 80's early 90's that was standard transmission. 5.7 hemi. Basic stereo, ac, no power search or windows or mirrors. And was 4x4. Dodge wants to make money. Make your high priced vehicles for those that can afford it. But give the working class people a vehicle they can afford and modify themselves. We all don't need all the technology. I have a cell phone and a tablet for anything I need to know.

They knew that the government would bail them out. I hate that our government does that, and the American taxpayer has to pay for it. Let them go under so this industry learns their lesson. The used side is just as bad. It's like the dealers are trying to get top dollar new truck prices on a used vehicle. It even gets worse when you try to trade it in. Chrysler products have been sub-par my entire life, and I’m 43. People saw what they wanted to see the last 10 years or so, but the truth is- quality didn’t suddenly go over a cliff when the company became Stellantis; quality was pretty bad even while it was FCA, however the prices have gone so high that people simply can’t look the other way any longer on the shortcomings of these vehicles. You used to buy a Chrysler product because they were cheaper than their peers, sometimes significantly; yes they were lower quality, but you dealt with that trade off, and you got a new vehicle that offered decent value and often times looked pretty good too. That value is now long gone.
