  • Credit to ‪@redeemedzoomer6053‬ for the new intro music! Tell me what you think of it in the comments.
Young Anglican is just a hobby for a theology nerd. I do all of this in my spare time and don't have any relevant degrees in theology or philosophy, but hope that nonetheless my thoughts and knowledge still have a kind of value.

Lol Yale calling 7 ministers that go to get ordained "The Great Apostasy" sounds a tad over dramatic. Early north American history is fascinating, when you go to the primary sources it almost feels like some of these folks or living in completely different realities. Especially if you compare people on the opposite ends of religious or political spectrums like the loyalists and the patriots.

Nothing will change Rome's mind that the Anglican Apostolic Succession is utterly null and void.
But great video defending the Anglican Episcopate!

Well Malta I might change it. Pope Francis and the DDF are strongly reconsidering the validity of Anglican orders. Who knows what might happen with that?

Joe, something you might enjoy that I watched recently. Go to PBD and watch the Neil Howe interview. The Anglican Church sans women’s ordination with high views of authority and ministry will be the future.

Hi, Interesting talk. I have a very vague memory, regarding Apostolic Succession, that while The Episcopal Church of England refused to have anything to do with the Americans after the Revolution there was a duly ordained Scottish prelate who ordained some Americans for the Episcopal Church. Maybe you could check it out. There were several churches in Mass. that had Church of England connections at one time. King's Chapel in Boston, was the Episcopal seat when it was established at the end of the 17th century. It is now Unitarian tho. Trinity Church in Boston has had a long association with the Cof E. History can be murky.

Just an idea, but maybe you can cover lay investiture (what secular authorities did with clergy) in the medieval Catholic Church and how that would affect Anglicanism's apostolic succession. Also a good idea to address the accusation of Anglican holy orders (somehow) being invalid. I imagine a lot of the RC and EO arguments will wind up inconsistent.

Fmr Anglican and convert to the Orthodox Faith. Anglicans lost apologies succession by embracing heresies when the then Patriarch of Rome dragged the Western out of The Church. So figures like Mr. Welbey, Mr. Curry or Mr. Beach are all simple layman in robes, same with Mr. Bergoglio. It's not to be rude but a fundamental disagreement with my former protestant faith on matters of what is "The Church" and that the Holy Life-giving Sacraments don't exsist outside The Church. Naturally as Orthodox I view The Western Rite as the Only true expression of the Anglican heretiage (Though I was brought into The Church by Baptism in and attend an Imperial (eastern) Rite Parish)

The Western Rite has only existed since the 1800s. Ironically you have a very evangelical type view of the Church given you believe the Church is only the EO. Funny enough that means you believe the Holy Spirit “blinked off” and the gates of hell prevailed against the Church in the entire western world for well over 700 years. That’s too Joseph Smith for me, good luck with that but that paradigm you’ve created is definitely not Catholic and defintely not Orthodox.

"were the true church so you guys arent real"
saved everyone the time from reading this non-argument. when will EO learn that presupposing your views are correct and then appealing to that presupposition will never be taken seriously lol
