25:18 as someone with autism (or asd) this one INFURIATED me. ive seen so many parents so bluntly ignorant and driving their kids to severe depression because they think the kid "seems normal enough", and doesnt take the struggles they go through seriously. so many of my friends avoid their parents as much as physically possible because they either dont believe they have autism or dont believe their symptoms are that bad, which usually leads to depression or sometimes even suicide. autism is real even if theyre able to hide it well enough, and the energy it costs to be able to hide it is immense

on the 3rd one, if you have a minor form of autism or adhd, or any somewhat minor mental disability, if you tell the school they wont put you in a special program or anything, 99% of the time the teachers will just have notes about stuff like that to make sure they get the extra help. its been like this in the US since as long as i can remember. cause i have add. edit : basically you gain extra time and sometimes dont have to do some of the work at the cost of getting a diagnosis and telling the school. literally just free.
