This jacket fits you like a glove, Jeff! I love the look of it and indigo x black is currently my favourite! No way I can afford IH jacket now, so I recently bought a budget version from Brave Star. I hear you about cherishing this Jacket, this is why sometimes I feel like I want to buy two pairs of the same denim - one to keep pristine and another one to beat the crap out of it.
@@AJMancaveHobbies afternoons something I love, I always want a second as a backup….but can never seem to find one that fits/wears like the first. I wish I had cyclops powers, but to see what cloths I will really love so I can buy more than 1 of them when I find them.
Great review Jeff; I have the exact same jacket except in XL. Absolutely love it. I've had mine for about 3 weeks, and it's developed some nice creases in the arms, but no fading just yet. The quality of the construction and the denim used is on another level. Looking forward to seeing your updates. Also looking forward to seeing your Brave Star update as well.
Right on! This is a killer jacket! I plan on wearing each for a week or so and swap out so they both get some good wear on them. Once the warm weather hits, the sun on the Ruckus should get some good fades going on! Going to do my first cold soak on the Brave Star tonight!
@@damionberv5074 Not really. I've had the Brave Star just under a month. I have some nice creasing going on, there is some light fading, but nothing to noticeable yet. I am curious to see if anything shows a little more after a soak later tonight. The Iron Heart I really only wore one day so far. I wanted to get in at least 30 days on the Brave Star first. So the IH has no fades, but the sleeve did crease after that one day of wear, where the BS took about 3 days to really show the creasing. They are both such great jackets, it's going to be hard to wear anything else! And I do love my waxed jackets. How is your IH coming along after 3 months? do you have any images of it posted anywhere? Did you know the #2 finisher for Y1 Redline Rally wore this jacket? And it looks awesome!
I’ve only had my IH for 3 weeks so no noticeable fading although in certain light you can almost see some electric blue poking through. I think once the fades start coming it will look amazing. I did see that it came in 2nd place in the RLR, and it looked amazing. Those guys are really good at getting those incredible fades. I love the jacket; just wish it was a little bit longer as I prefer longer truckers vs the ones that stop at the belt line. Looking forward to your 1-month review of your Brave Star.
@@damionberv5074 That's my bad. I miss read your comment. I thought it said 3 months. I am really excited to see the fades this jacket will get. IH are slow faders, but I think this jacket being so dark, it should show a little faster than a normal indigo jacket. If you are looking for something longer the BS are about an inch longer. And it is noticeable when you put the jacket on.
I think it looks great, Jeff! Glad you went with this one. Huge fan. Even if you don't get back into marathon shape it should stretch a little bit and mold to you.
Thanks man. It already loosened up a bit. Wore it the last two days. Waiting on another jacket to dry from a cold soak. Been so warm here the past three days, the heat in the house isn’t even coming on to help dry the BS jacket out. And I agree, I’m glad I went with this one. Had I got with the 19 ounce Sluby, it would’ve been awesome. but it would’ve looked too similar to what I’ve already got. This definitely gives me some variety. P. S. I still love that khaki whipcord that you’ve got.
Great review thank you for the detailed information. I’ve been struggling to find the right fit for a Denim jacket. Tried Tellason jean jacket in large it fit my shoulders and arms but I could fit a second person in the space when the jacket was buttoned Lol. So I’m thinking IH same one as yours just in indigo. I’m 6 ft 1”, 40” chest, 150lbs. They recommended same size as you. Hoping that this fit me as well as it does you!
A medium should be a pretty good fit for your size. The IH certainly fit closer to the body than Tellason and Brave Star. I am very happy with my fit. I link to my second choice in the description of this video, which is an Indigo warp and natural weft and is a killer jacket. That is what I would recommend if you didn’t wan indigo/black.
Thanks man, my issue has been my shoulders are 18” which is where Large lands. Tough being skinny with broad shoulder lol. Are you referring to the 21oz link in your description ?
@@remzi6061 Yes, that was my next choice if I didn't get this Indio/Black version I have now. They only had a few left at the time I was buying. If they sold out, that's what I was going to snag. If I remember correctly it had a similar sizing to this one. Each IH jacket has it's own measurements. Some are really different.
hey there, i’m noticing on the iron heart website it says there’s little to no shrinking expected, but on self edge website it says shrinking is minimal. did you experience shrinking when washed? thanks!
I have not washed this jacket myself. But it it my experience with sanforized there can be a little shrinkage. Most times it will stretch back out with wear.

Would be better if you stood further away from the camera when trying the jacket on.
I stood multiple distances from the camera. Would you prefer I be a little black dot? And not be able to see the jacket at all?
