    This is a great piece of kit. I wore mine for 60 days straight. For most of my IH I do a soak. But for this slubby fabric went with no soak. The fit is insanely good.

    The watch comment is so true. I have this jacket but it’s the overdyed version and as soon as I put it on I noticed watches would be an issue… still love it though. Great review, love your channel!

    I have this jacket in the 16oz Slubby overdyed black. I really like the OD version because it is much darker and tones down the stitching so you can pair it with denim and not look like you are wearing a Canadian tuxedo:)

    • @ynysvon
      @ynysvon ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I have this and the 555s in overdyed black. Because of the toned down stitching in both It is much easier to pull off the denim on denim look.

      Same here…got the od version last month and I never take it off. The indigo one looks great too…wouldn’t mind having one of those too lol. We regard to the cuff being tight, it is a little tight. I wear an Apple Watch and just leave mine unbuttoned.

    Another great review covered everything . Don’t think I’ve seen a faded example of this type lll yet . I bet it would look amazing 👍

    I just bought this jacket after seeing it in your video and man it's lush! I already have five denim jackets though 🙈 but I can see this one being worn a lot as it probably costs about the same as all my other ones put together 😂

    Hey love the vid. Bought the Jacket myself a couple of weeks ago. I really like it aswell especially the denim is gorgeous. Have the same problems, the sleeve openings are just too small and downright uncomfortable with a wrist watch on, but it stretched out a bit so i can at least pull my hand through it and dont have to open it everytime I take off the jacket. I bought a size extra large and im 188cm so maybe they are a bit looser on me, but I wanted to layer a sweater underneath it.

      Nice to hear! I'm unbuttoning the cuffs mostly now and I don't really notice. Such a great jacket!

    Awesome review, I have a 666 in that fabric and worn it 7 months straight I find the fabric pretty warm considering that it is 'only' 16oz, it also is hard to get some fadings in so I guess it is important that you like the fabric off the shelf and you are not too fade hungry with this piece. I recently bought the 526J-22OD and that isn't modified and I tend to grasp for the handwarmer pockets still but the only thing I really miss are the inside pockets, I might modify my jacket to put some inside pockets in one way or the other.

    It looks perfect, great fit. two days ago I tried on a type 1 and type 2 by FOB Factory but the sleeves were too short in size 42 even if the rest of the fit was perfect. I tend to have long arms like an ape and sometimes this happens. If I size up, then the rest of the measurements will be wrong.
    I've ordered a type II by The strike gold but haven't received it yet so I'm praying it will fit perfectly so I don't need to send it back.

    Purchased the 21 oz jacket in the Rivet & Hide recent sale - what a jacket I had to size up - now have to break it in it is very rigid, but recall my 21 oz jeans were the same and they are now super comfy. Like this one Cameron to be fair you could wear a plastic bag and still look cool!.

    • @CameronO
      @CameronO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😂 a breathable bag I hope! Nice one on the 21oz, that would be epic once worn in and moulded to you. Enjoy it.

    Tight cuffs are a big deal to me because I wear a watch. Hopefully, it'll stretch for you to where you can wear a watch comfortably. Thanks for the review, sir.

    i really love this slubby denim, i did get the whole canadian tuxedo and i think it works well with some black mr. lou's. i suspect it is the same fabric as the MIJ 10 from naked and famous, anybody else thought this? i wear XXL in most brands so had to do the XXXXL in Iron heart and it is snug still but especially on the sleeves. i do like the longer length since im 6'3.

    • @SummerlinW
      @SummerlinW ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say for sure but probably. Denim 's character can change based on the "recipe". Weaving process and dyeing can change the same fabric. I have a modified type 3 duck canvas jacket. The sleeve openings have stretched. I do like the longer length but probably would buy another Iron heart jacket without trying it on. I own a couple shirts and like all hand made things there is variance even for the same size. I bought the Unbranded Denim 22oz denim jacket. Nice slubby texture similar but not the same as MIJ10. Although my Okayama Spirit 5 is probably the only jean I would avoid wearing with them until I get more contrast and fading. I got the Unbranded Denim jacket off Amazon through Zappos so less stress about returns if it didn't fit. Not as long as Ironheart but a little more generous taper

  • @caseyzaft6734

    I say pass on the Jean jacket (which looks a little much when you pair it w/ jeans) and go straight for the N1 IH. Hands down the most phenomenal jacket released by IH.

    The big problem with Iron Heart for me is that the shoulders are too narrow relative to the chest... They have such great pieces and great design, but they just do not fit me right. I'd probably still go for them at 200 or 250 but 400 for something that admittedly is super cool but just doesn't fit right is a bridge too far. Sad for me, but happy for people whose bodies are shaped right

  • @AchillesNYC
    @AchillesNYC ปีที่แล้ว

    Bruh, we're about the same size and I had to go with a XXL to wear a thick hoodie. I had to return the xl I ordered because it was way too tight. Why even have a jacket if you can't layer up? Of course if you live in a humid area then you'll never need to layer, but in nyc you need options

    I really dislike tight cuffs due to the watch issue, although with a casual item like this jacket, I just leave my right cuff undone to accommodate the watch.
    Love the length though. Very interesting. My bank account is cringing at the videos I’ve been watching lately about Iron Heart products. It knows what’s coming…

      Tight cuffs: soak the cuffs in lunked water. Find a «right» shaped wine bottle. Insert the bottle from the shulder opening down to the cuff end. Press the bottle out as much as you can. Leave it for 2-3 hours. Problem solved.

      Firmly in the other half's wardrobe. Still great for summer that one, but I've always wanted an indigo one I can fade myself and make my own if that makes sense.

    Is this worth the $424 considering it isn’t lined…you then question practicality/functionality🤔

    • @ynysvon
      @ynysvon 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How is it being unlined make it less functional? It's a denim trucker jacket. They generally aren't lined.
