    Big fan of your channel, but please do a special on their shirts. I'd say ironheart's shirts can stand up as its own brand. Their UHFs and denim shirts are just as well known and well loved as their jeans.

    I'm 2 weeks into breaking in some Iron Heart 25oz. 888's. Definitely takes some work to start breaking in and mine are literally at the very early stages of it, but what an amazing fabric.
    I started with some of their over dyed 21 oz and loved that so figured I should move up to the 25 and I haven't regretted my decision.

    • @CeeAreDee
      @CeeAreDee  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How did the od s fade?

    • @ryano8982
      @ryano8982 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CeeAreDee I'm only about a half year into the OD's. They have been soaked once and washed twice, and I don't wear them every day so still pretty early on in the fade prosses. With the second wash there is some nice fades starting to come through. You can now see the faded indigo poking through on the thighs, knees and butt, or anywhere that gets rubbed or creased often. However still very dark and black everywhere else. I really like how they are turning out.
      One word of caution if you do every get a pair of OD’s from Iron Heart. Order them to the length you want them to end up as. The OD process sucks every ounce of shrink out of them so you will not get the usual 1 inch shrink from the OD’s, but the waist will stretch a good inch, inch and a half.

    You 're very correct in pointing out that the denim won't protect in case of a fall from your motorcycle. Some companies like Bering make Kevlar and Aramid fibre reinforced jeans. Just don't expect a slim fitting tapered cut...😅

    • @drzaius844
      @drzaius844 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah it might buy you 12” more of slide protection but if you’re sliding 30’ that is statistically insignificant. I wear 21oz in the bike but it’s more for warmth and the lack of flapping/structural stability at high speeds. Gotta look cool.

    The 777s are their best all around fit. Also has the lowest rise!

  • @StrickenBiged
    @StrickenBiged 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The 888 fit is also the perfect fit for lifters with squatters’ thighs. Yeah, they’re expensive, but to have finally found a pair of jeans that will fit me at both the waist and at the thigh at the same time, worth it for me.

    • @CeeAreDee
      @CeeAreDee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @StrickenBiged
      @StrickenBiged 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CeeAreDee Definitely good for the larger thigh. Imagine the Benzak B-03’s, with a higher rise and wider thigh. For comparison to fit in B-03’s I need to size up at the waist to accommodate my thighs, for IH’s 888’s I can go true to size.

    • @Hyperfluxe

      It's still not acceptable in terms of breathability and compromises your mobility if you're really strong with big quads and a small waist. I adore Ironheart to death (mostly their heavyweight loopwheel tees and fleece crews/hoodies, as well as their western flannel and outerwear pieces) but their denim just isn't compatible for a serious competitive lifter (that's a universal problem with selvedge denim in general though, I've tried it all trust me).
      I find that premium muscle stretch denim (Tailored Athlete is the best from experience, Legend London is a close second) with 3-5% elastane is absolutely crucial for comfort (my waist is a 28 but my quads would make me get a 34, I squat 505x5 @175lbs right now for reference). Unfortunately due to that I've had to give up a lot of potential pieces in my wardrobe (raw denim namely and most super heavyweight fleece/knitwear) but Ironheart does a very good job in terms of double brushing their cotton inside for comfort compared to some other Japanese heavy selvedge designers.

    Wicked content man. Quick question for ya, as I was introducing to the Denim world through Hiut jeans and that has lead me into Rivet & Hide, which in turn lead me onto PBJ, Iron Heart, 3sixteen etc etc. Does Hiut feature on your denim radar? Why does Hiut get so little mention from denim-heads?

    • @CeeAreDee
      @CeeAreDee  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s because hiut is not trying to be a “denim brand”. They are just tying to make damn good jeans. These things might seem one ans the same but they don’t target and engage the same as a “denim brand”. I personally love the way they do things. I love the marketing but it’s to a wider audience. That could be the reason. It’s weird tho. 10 years in the game ans I’ve only seen one pair in real life.

    Their stuff can be dope but goddamn is it pricey! Yes, props for being the first in super heavy denim but I personally feel they’re being out competed these days. Also, their forum is super toxic and, just to be that guy, it’s a bit irresponsible to kind of suggest that heavy denim can be used as a proper motorcycle jacket.

    • @CeeAreDee
      @CeeAreDee  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      “That guy”needs to listen a little better ;) I say very specifically that the denim provides more protection agains the elements and not protection against a spill. I rode bikes myself, wouldn’t wear denim on the back of a bike. So I wanted to be clear on that point.
