    Thanks for this video! My '98's odometer hasn't worked for awhile and many SN95's have this problem.

    Man that seemed a lot easier than I would expect. Looks great and I also use those same micro fiber towels. So many uses for them.

    I just wanted to update the post with what I found in my cluster.
    The issue with mine was that the copper ribbon on the back of the board had come delaminated and it shorted out the temp guage.
    So if you have completed work in your cluster and things that worked before and not after, might just be the copper leads on the back of the cluster.

    So I happened to break both my pin stops on tachometer and speedometer. That’s cause I watched another video and not yours first. Hooked it back up and the speedometer and tachometer are not working. They jump up when key is in but not passed the pin stops. This is because the pin stops broke off correct? Thanks

  • @stevensheldon9271

    Why do you have to remove the pin stops?

    FYI For You All In Regards To Replacing Bulbs:
    I purchased "warm white" LED's to keep the gauge colors green as OEM looks, but it turned out blue anyway! So, it still looks fantastic but didnt work as i planned.
    Hope that helps someone out there.
    Maybe yellow LED bulbs would work better, but don't know yet...

      @mustang connection where would the sending unit be located for that? My temp gauge doesn’t work either. Unless @david gross did you fix your gauge now, 2 yrs later? Lol

    If you happen to come across this post after being so old... on painting the gauge needles, did you paint just the back side of the needle or just the front side or both? Do you remove the needle before painting or just masked out the gauge area? Thx.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marcus, I made sure to be very careful and gingerly slid some thin vellum paper underneath the needle and hand painted them. They can be sprayed as well but that would take a lot more masking. only paint the face

    Help!! My 95 GT has a bad temp gauge. If I start or just turn the power on, the gauge moves slightly lower than resting position. If I drive the car on long trips it starts to work after an hour or so, but only sometimes. I've tested the sending unit cable and it's getting power, but if I ground the cable the gauge does NOT spike. Anyone please??

  • @tylerboudreau7621
    @tylerboudreau7621 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    do you happen to have a video at night of the gauges im trying to replace my facory bulbs with blue leds but keep the red 55 and red line and over heat under press red lines red and also make the needles red

  • @brystonvanwey2928
    @brystonvanwey2928 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did that and it still isn't working. The gears are all replaced. The gears spin when the cluster is off and I do it manually but When I put it back in it doesn't work. Any idea how to fix it?

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Were the old gears broken when you replaced them ?

    • @brystonvanwey2928
      @brystonvanwey2928 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MustangConnection1 the worm gear looked like it had been already replaced but I replaced it anyways and the main gear was falling apart when I touched it. So brand new gears in them. The old ones were broken

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is usually the fix, something with your speedo cable possibly or the cluster itself.

  • @robb15033
    @robb15033 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    ALSO, FYI-
    If you own a 94-98 Mustang and want to replace a nice new shiney gauge lens, the listed 99-04 lense works, just has a charcoal color instead of black. Can not see difference once installed.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edgar Sanchez I don't but here is the closest thing. 65 to 73 it is usually the speedo cable itself. Sometimes the nylon driven gear at the trans can wear out but rarely.
