I was on a flight with a Karen in my seat. She also played asleep. I finally said to the flight attendant that Karen looks pale. A sign of a heart attack. As Karen woke up as the flight attendant called foe EMS. Karen was removed from the plane while hooked up to a heart monitor. Later the flight attendant told me Karen was not allowed to fly until she was checked by a Doctor
I'd have told him if I were paying for him, it means I'm his daddy. Means he needs to send his wife over to my place to repay the debt if you know what I mean
Anytime anyone says I make more money so I should pay/give them something I generally reply with "I studied for this qualification without your help and I earn the money without your help. I don't need your help spending the money."
Pretty much the "not l" chicken baking story where the chicken asks everyone for help with making the cake and each time they say not I, but when she asks who will eat the cake everyone wanted a piece but she denied them. That book was even better than I thought as a kid.
That’s what I tell people when I’m going on another fabulous trip, and I hear “oh, you’re so lucky”. I tell them luck has nothing to do with it, I point out how many years of education I have and how hard I worked and saved to be able to go on these trips. Screw them.
@@squirrel670 I had a different version. Little red hen. She found some grain seeds and over the course of planting to turning it into bread asked others if they wanted to help, which they said no. And the ending was the same she asked who wanted to eat the bread and they all said yes and she tells them lol nah brah
That flight attendant is definitely a pro Karen tamer. With the whip and chair like an old-fashioned circus lion tamer LOL Holy crap, that last guy was a _freak_
Dark Fluff said FA should write a book on how to get unruly passengers off a plane. My bet she would get sued for plagiarizing her airlines Standard Operating Procedures for Flight Attendants if she did. TLDR, I bet FA was following SOP.
Karens on a plane are scarier than snakes. Been getting a lot of spamming and scamming phone calls lately. I think of you Fluffy, when I answer the call with "Thank you for calling Quiznos!" If they persist with their script, I start listing off sub options and ask if it's pick up or delivery. Hope you are having a fabulous day, Fluffy.
Back when there were (working) pay phones (about 30 yrs ago) I used to answer when the pay phone rang I would answer, "Welcome to Taco Bell, or (in a gruff low voice) Harry's junk yard"! Ah those were the days 🤣. I lived in Wilmington California then, by Avalon & D street.
If you don't recognize the number, don't pick up. By picking up, you're letting their software know this is a valid number and they can direct more calls to you.
I answer all my Scam Calls with: "Thank you for calling Forest Home Cemetery: Our Day Begins When Yours ENDS"! The responses are usually priceless, LOL!
Story #2: Here's something that the viewers should probably pay close attention to. I have had several "friends" who would always make it their business to deal with the check at the end of the meal. As a notorious over tipper it took me a little while to realize that those people would gather up all of the money from everyone else, kick in less than their fair share or sometimes nothing at all, and then stiff the wait staff so that their meal was cheap or free. I don't hang around with any of those people anymore.
I've had this happen to me. Last week actually. I'm not a confrontational person and I didn't quite catch on to what she was doing until I saw the word "cash" in the tip line and there was no cash. The woman put money into her coat pocket and looked like she was about to shit herself when she saw me, but she still took it.
@@aislebasile The solution here is to say we want separate checks. If everybody else wants just one check, let em. Just tell the waiter you want YOUR check separate. Solves that little problem, and the wait staff has to do as the customer asks.
@@aislebasile then why not report her for theft? She stole the money the rest of you had laid down as tips, the moment you put it in the pool, that money belonged to the restaurant and wait staff.
I know I'm late to the party but I had a roommate that would do this with delivered food. She would use our tip money to cover part of her meal and stiff the delivery driver without us knowing. Once we caught on, we were disgusted and embarrassed.
My cousins pulled the "top-shelf drinks" scam on me when I organized a party at a restaurant for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. My cousins come from the affluent side of the family and sat at a separate table and just got drunk. When the bill came around the "ladies" (grandma's friends) who only had a glass or two of wine refused to pay for my cousin's drinks and, of course, everybody felt it was fair to pay only what they "felt" they owed. Guess who got stuck with the balance? I have a whole new view of my cousins and will NEVER do anything for any of them, ever again. They're complete pigs and I'm embarrassed to be related to them.
@Too Cute Puppies I could get angry at your cousins too and never have any, I say any financial dealings with those " narcissists ", short hand for FOOLS, again. You were being played by your own flesh and blood. We have the right to refuse such as these, and should. It's called being kind to your self and not being somebody's doormat. They wiped their feet on you figuratively speaking, but you got their drift/number didn't you. I'm proud of your resolve.
I used to have a scum bag leech of a friend who always tried to flaunt his clothes, etc. but all of his money was borrowed, slept on someone's couch, no job, etc. One night a group of us goes to a bar. I was driving so I limited myself to a beer for the night. I get my bill and it's $120+. I asked what's going on and the bartender pointed at my "friend" and she said he told her it was on me. So I said I'm definitely not OK with this and what would happen if I didn't pay for his drinks. She said she'd have to have security keep my friend until the cops come so they can file a report. I said OK and left knowing he had a warrant out for him.
I'd pay money to see Karen's face as she finds there is no upgrade, and she sees 'her' plane take off without her. But with her luggage..... BWAHAHAHA!! 😄
She, apparently, forgot that it was a full flight and there were no upgrades to be had. th-cam.com/video/zRakAuHQguo/w-d-xo.html Karenism will probably someday be considered a special mental defect, and everyone who spoke out against their delicate condition will be labelled a monster and _cancelled._
I thought if a passenger got off, their luggage was removed, too, because there could be bombs in the luggage - or does that not apply anymore? She could easily have caused a ruckus to be removed, therefore leaving their luggage aboard!!!
@@amethyst1826 Yeah, those are typically removed but not because of bombs, TSA already cleared them. It is much less burdensome for the airline. th-cam.com/video/HiQP5htOcPc/w-d-xo.html When they get rebooked, their luggage will get retagged, or they'll have to go see someone in the luggage department near arrivals.
The wife probably knows that her husband cheats on her in Vegas and on trips in general. I can't imagine treating other people like garbage while defending your trash spouse. What's the point
Those entitled leeches are ridiculous. I'm not on a high income but when I eat out with family or friends I always make sure I have enough money for my share and my kids. It's not fair to expect others to pay for you. If they offer, that's one thing but you can't just expect them to do it. That is so rude and entitled!
Also specify in advance what the plan is. "Are we going Dutch?" Or "Hey, it's your birthday, so my treat." Or "Can we please split the check. I will need my own check." Also not a bad idea to say "Order whatever you want", or maybe "Gee, the (fill in blank with cheaper item) looks good."
I've always paid for myself in a group. I barely drink and I have a small stomach. Unless it's family and they are sure about offering to cover it all.
It always pisses me off when people try that whole "shared receipt" thing at a dinner. I learned early on not to do that after I went to a dinner with a bunch of my classmates who wanted to celebrate finishing a course with the professor. So while I ordered a soda and plate of pasta, two of them proceeded to wine and dine the professor. Then at the end of the night, they wanted to split the receipt between everybody, instead of each person paying what they owed. My $15 bill jumped to almost $60. Yeah, no. I told the waitress to get me a receipt with only what I owed, paid it, then walked out.
Story 1: OMG, as a former airline worker I absolutely ABHOR entitled people on airplanes. My wife ran into a foursome of entitled guys coming up to our town in Alaska to go fishing just last week. She was down in Seattle to take our 6yr old son to Seattle Children's for his condition. On the return flight back up, because they were the only seats left and Medicaid and Tribal Health up here have to wait for the last minute to book, the only seats that were available were the center seats opposite the aisle from one another in between these guys... all of whom were unwilling to budge and who had done the same booking trick in hopes that no one would book the seats between them. Unfortunately for them, with COVID ending and tourist season ramping up, we're getting oversold flights for flights coming up here. These four assholes were unwilling to budge for a mother traveling alone with a 6yr old and my wife, rightfully so, refuses to be separated from him, all the while making a big ruckus about how they paid for their great Alaskan vacation and how they were going fishing and how dare ANYone ask them to move. And it wasn't even like my wife was causing a scene or anything, it was the airline calmly, quietly, and discreetly asking people if they'd be willing to move or not. I mean, yeah, I can understand them paying for the seats and all but I'm also one of the first to give up my seat to accommodate someone traveling with kids. Thankfully, an older couple understood and they moved for my wife and son to sit together so that my wife would be responsible for him and not some random stranger. Seriously, I really wonder how'd they'd react if they had to babysit a kid between them for a 3 hour flight just because they wanted to stay put. As for these four jerks, I hope that they don't catch a damn thing while they're up here.
With all due respect, they weren't obligated in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM to change seats, and therefore they are not assholes. It's unfortunate your wife found herself in that situation but that isn't their fault. Just because you will give up your seat doesn't mean other people have to, and people like you giving in to be "nice" is the entire reason why we have these entitled mothers booking separate seats, with a kid in first class/at the front of the plane, and trying to get in a better section by asking the person who paid more to move.
EF2 getting his wife on the phone to tell off OP basically pulled a "I'M TELLING MOM! THEN YOU'RE GONNA BE IN BIG TROUBLE!" A grown man has to get his wife involved in a dispute over drinks? What a momma's boy.
I remember a movie where James Garner played a rich Texan who after eating at a fancy restaurant, bought it, and cut the dining space in half and doubled the bar because he realized people liked to drink waiting to get in.
Or, and this is just a guess BUT the table is not ready yet. In a busy restaurant, they do not want you to have to wait especially if it is a reservation restaurant because it gets backed up.
Yeah, this is bullshit. I've worked at a bunch of restaurants, and had friends who have spent over 30 years in the industry, and this has never been a policy anywhere I've ever heard of. The truth is that restaurants do generally try pretty hard to have tables available when they're supposed to be (assuming you have a reservation, etc). However, they have *absolutely no control* over the people eating there and how long they want stay and take up those tables before they leave. They can't exactly go up to somebody halfway through their dinner and say "sorry, you're taking too long to eat, and somebody else wants the table, so you're going to have to leave." (They also can't factor in too much "buffer space" between seatings, or they're left with a large portion of their tables empty all the time, and that means they can't serve as many people, which means lost income, higher prices, and longer wait times for everyone) So they do try the best they can, but sometimes people take longer than expected, or somebody comes in with a large party (and no reservation) and they have to try their best to rearrange everything to squeeze them in (which throws everything else off), or the staff have just been so slammed that nobody's had any time to clean off the table yet, or any one of about fifty other things can go wrong, and so sometimes it can take a few more minutes than expected for a table to actually become available. To be honest, even though I've done it myself, the fact that most places can manage to have tables available exactly when they're supposed to be so much of the time still kinda seems like magic sometimes...
I don’t know what’s worse- having friends who try to get you to pay more for their food and drinks, or a date? I was trying to be fair with a guy I dated for a bit since he was on a tight budget & not make him pay for everything. But instead of us each paying for our own dinners/drinks one evening, he scammed me into splitting the bill. I realized later he had ordered a more expensive dinner AND had more drinks than me. That’s just one example of him being cheap. I dropped him after that night.
Definitely one of my pet peeves is going out with a bunch of people who drink , order big expensive meals and entrees when you dont, then expect you to pay the same amount as everybody else, then get shitty when you say 'thats not gonna happen, Im only paying for what I had', then actually have the nerve to be offended. Um NO people, you pay for what you use and stop expecting others to, thats it, simple...or get separate bills!!!
Agreed. When I eat out, I am often needing the most expensive meal due to my dietary restrictions, but never once have I expected anyone to pay for me. When someone does, it has been previously agreed upon, tends to take place at a buffet, and even if it isn't, I avoid spending more than necessary.
The first and last time I took my mother grocery shopping is when she nearly broke the bank on me. We were having trouble making ends meet and needed food. This was shortly after the 08 housing bubble burst. Since at the time my father wouldn't let me help out with the utilities, I could at least buy groceries to make sure nobody went hungry. She tried filling our cart mostly with stuff we didn't need like boatloads of snacks she only liked when I kept trying to get to the meat and frozen veggies so we'd have a nice stockpile in our freezer. Anything we could cook and put away as leftovers that'd last us for a while. Trying to put anything back was a fight rife with guilt trips, passive aggressive ramblings and pouting from her but I managed to get some of the more expensive, name brand snacks out and replaced it with food that we needed and would last. After we finally got home and got everything in she looked at me beaming and said "let's do that again" since I did let us have some snacks, not all off them. She tried to shop like if she saw it and put it in the cart, it meant I'd pay for it without question. The way she behaved, I understood why my dad never liked going shopping with her anywhere. She's never gone grocery shopping with me since. Not even if she begs me to take her out somewhere because she feels couped up in the house.
@@MsKeroseneLamp Ahhh yessss, family are some of the worst offenders. My sister was like that, big time. Ive actually never come across anybody like her in my life. Best thing I ever did was 'divorce' her and her leaching greedy self entitled ass many years ago because of her behavior!!! Taking advantage of mum whenever they went out shopping was one thing, but to take everything from the house when mum passed was a whole new level of her greed.
Ah that breaking the bill story! I had a 3 course meal with friends from work. There were 4 who attended without their partners, one couple, and one colleague who brought her partner and her two adult children. So 10 people in all. When it came to the bill the colleague with the family instructed the waitress to divide the bill per party, rather than per person, expecting the group to absorb the costs of her family of 4. That did not go down well. Then she refused to dine with us at future events because her family "wasn't welcome". Ah good ole manipulation! Nah! They were welcome, just expected to pay their way. Some people just don't want to be fair,
If I'm hanging with friends and they say I should pay for everyone coz I earn more then them, I'm paying for my drink, and leaving them to pay their bill
And that's why we all get our own tab even if we are celebrating someone. If we want to get them a drink, we just order it on our tab and then hand it to them.
Ive never met anyone whos just evenly divided a bill before like that. Like... if we all literally ordered the same exact thing, maybe, but like... if you're already having to divide payment between cards, you might as well just do separate checks. Nevermind this nonsense
We do that when everyone is just getting apps to share or tapas or something. Some restaurants also don’t do separate checks for parties over a certain number because of gratuity etc (used to be way more common than now)
We unfortunately had 2 friends like this. I told my husband the next time his "friend said let's split the check" I would ask the waiter to bring me a pair of scissor and cut the fn card up right there at the table. Now we get separate checks and it is amazing how the "friends" don't go hog wild.
i only go out to eat with 2 other people one is my sister.....we all have different budget levels hence our own checks....i prefer to pay my own way and not have to deal with that...having dealt with the 3rd person who never contributed to the full bill when we first started dining out together....she would pay just her part not include her part of the tax or tip...leaving my sister and I to cover an extra $10 to $20 she felt was covered in her payment.
Yeah I agree but... the guy didn't move and leave the neighborhood for months afterward but nothing is said about the police arresting him? Either OP never called or that story is a complete BS fabrication.
I have a group of lady friends that every month (pre-covid) we would go out to dinner together. We all take turns picking out the restaurant. We also make sure that the restaurant can do separate checks due to the fact that some of the ladies have "drinks" while others just have water..some are on a tight budget. This prevents that feud about who owes what. Apparently when they had started going out together..before my time with them..that there was a lot of issues about ppl ordering "drinks" and then expecting someone else to help pay for it..hence separate checks. If the restaurant won't do separate checks then we drop them from out list and find another one. There is always a restaurant who would prefer to have our business and will go the extra mile to do separate checks. I always tip higher to these ppl due to the fact that they are usually serving about 10-20 boisterous loud ladies but we do have fun and I have never heard of anyone complaining about us.
That second story reminds me of the types of friendships according to Aristotle. One of them is utility, where people are friends just to benefit from each other. It sounds like those entitled friends were only friends just for the benefit of ordering expensive stuff and making others pay for it, which makes them more like leeches than friends.
The exact happened to me at a swanky family dinner. They drank a $500 bar tab, I was sober and didn't order dessert. Worse, I was under the impression dinner was assumed by one family individual. WTF? Good thing the GM was a friend. I paid $20 for to only and was comped my $100 meal. No one was the wiser.
I really hate when people try to pull the "you make the most money" excuse in situations like that. Like yeah sure they make the most but that's because they probably worked their butt off to make that much
My best friend used to do that stuff when we were in our late teens. I've worked since I was 15 (12 if you count being a 5-day-a-week nanny for the neighbors), and consequently usually had more money than her. After a year of it, I asked her if she only did things with me to get me to pay, and why she often ordered more expensive food/drinks than I did. Fortunately, her behavior was mostly a result of immaturity and not really thinking about the implications of her actions rather than out of selfishness or malice, and she stopped. It's been 20 years, and she's still my best friend. I still usually have more money to spend, but now she asks first if we're splitting the bill, watches for what I order to figure out what her budget is if I pay, and offers to cover the tab when she is in a position to afford it. So, at least some people can learn.
I had someone try to pull that stunt. I asked to see the bill. Took a pen, circled my order, and said this is my portion and return the bill with that and the portion of the tip to the next light eater. Quote Ben Franklin when passing the bill. "A penny saved is a penny earned".
So, I was a road warrior, having spent years flying each and every week. I boarded a connection with a + aisle seat. A woman was sitting in it as I boarded late due to the connection arriving barely in time to catch it. She asked me if I would be willing to switch my aisle seat for hers, two rows back. I said sure and as I moved back she added “I traded with a mother who wants to sit across from her son who has a seat across the aisle”. So I traded an aisle seat in + territory for a coach middle seat. In 19 years of air travel I’ve never seen this level of perfidy before. Beware, I was stunned into silence, but after stewing for two hours I can assure you it would never happen again. To this day it pisses me off. Another reason to hate airline travel and generic people in general.
Story 2... that is why I very much prefer having the tabs split up. That is so much easier! One tip I have found is when in a large group ask for individual bills when you sit down so that they can set it up in the till, and it's easier on them than at the end.
@@mcduck5 I'd be willing to bet that the folks have certain code words when it comes to people like her. Like from what I heard with Disney. When you hear an employee say something like "someone spilled a protein shake" that that means that someone threw up.
That happened to me when I went out with a group of five. They were drinkers and ordered full dinners. One person even ordered a to go for their husband. I ordered an appetizer for around $7.00 and only water. They wanted to “split” the bill. Food with five margaritas. I refused. Why would I pay close to $50. I paid for mine and that was that!
I work in retail and work in Produce, not in Grocery, and had a woman ask me if we had a specific brand over in grocery. I politely told her I don't know if we have that brand, but I can go look fot her. She got upset and asked me. "Don't you work here?" "Yes, ma'am. I do." "Then you should know if you have this product or not." "I don't know because I work in produce not in grocery." "Well you should know where everything is inside the store." I then replied. "Ma'am, I'm trying to help you, but if you don't want my help I will go back to my department because I have work to do. So do you want my help or not?" She actually backed away. Looked away and said. "No, ma'am." Then walked off.
It's definitely time to see "Entitlement for Dummies. How to deal with Karen, Brad, Kevin, and Their Spawn" on sale at booksellers everywhere. Just think what a great holiday gift it would be for those "special" people in your life. 🤣
Story 1: Glad I don't remember the last time I was on a plane. Story 2: I'd track what everyone ordered and reference the menu for the pricing. That way I could split the tab according to what they ordered. Story 3: Should have reported that guy to the police too, but he should have seen it coming after unplugging that first camera.
macoud: the only trouble with your idea on story #2 is that some people can't do math in their heads and will argue with you when YOU do it. Also, the waiter has to stand around and wait for everybody to figure out their share and their tip.
That second story - I had someone try to pull something like that on me before. There was a group I would meet with one night a week, and they eventually started asked if people would be willing to donate for "fees". At one point, someone made the comment to me that "I make more than all of them and don't donate". We met at the same restaurant every week, nothing reserved, and just talked. The people "leading" the group were also even trying to get others to do it, so, yeah, I didn't see much of a point in donating when they barely did anything. Oh, and I made more because I had a degree and a job writing software, while they all claimed college was a scam and barely made over minimum wage.
When I was young, I got suckered into buying expensive drinks before. When it came time for others to buy a round, I wound up being given a cheap draft beer. That cured me of buying rounds for others when they order expensive for themselves and can't even reciprocate what I was drinking.
I stopped splitting at work lunches many years ago for crap like that. People would get $10 or $15 of drinks, and a $20 entry at just a regular lunch. Then expect everyone to split. The same people would pack their lunch with leftovers any other time. They know what they are doing.
Story 1... Trying to get a free seat for your stuff... wow! The flight attendant knew the magic word to shut up the Karen... I am sure OP, and the 2 standby's were quite happy about it. The employee at the counter is likely cursing them silently as they now had to deal with the Karen... at least till security arrived.
When my friends and I go out, we only pay for our share of the food/drinks unless someone actually volunteered to treat. But then, we always ask them for the budget of that treat so we don't overwhelm them. This has been a great system that worked in our dozen years of friendship.
Read a Readers Digest story years ago about how a flight attendant dealt with a rowdy little boy who was running up & down and annoying all the passengers while mommy did nothing. She stopped him in the aisle and asked him if he'd like to go play outside.
About 14 years ago I was on a train journey, typical British train, overcrowded. A Karen had a bag on a seat (not reserved but for anyone and I usually need a walking stick to get around). She refused to move it. I asked a couple more times, still refused. So I sat on the bag! Oh, and I was about 50lbs overweight at the time.
Years ago I met a Karen on a plane. I had put my bag in my overhead compartment and was sitting down waiting for everyone to finish boarding. A Karen comes to me from a row a few behind me. She told me I had to move my stuff from the overhead compartment, it was for her stuff. I told her to ask someone who cares. She actually called them back and told them I took her space! I said I put my things in my seats overhead. They told her, let’s go look for your space. Lol it’s been years and still makes me wonder how privileged people think.
Story 2 - That could be my brother. He thinks that he can order shots of top shelf whatever-the-hell he’s drinking and shift that bill to everyone else. I don’t tend to drink when I go out for dinner, and my refills on the iced tea are usually free. I’m not handing over $100 when my dinner (with iced tea) cost $40.
I'm truly wondering about the last story. Op said they were gonna call the cops but NO mention of cops was made again. In fact the guy still lived down the street months afterwards. So either OP didn't call the cops or it's a complete fabrication. Don't know about anyone else but as a woman who saw and did what her neighbor did? If freaking be on the phone immediately to turn the guy in because that's just sick.
Well, as a woman, you should be aware of how little some police departments care to follow through with things like this, despite evidence. Depending when it happened and what city, she may have known that all he would get was a fine and she would lose many hours trying to get it done. I had to spend almost $200 to file for the temporary restraining order, that ended up dismissed in court, as we were living within the distance to stay away. I was told to build a fence and get more security for my home. It ended up costing thousands, and I still have the creepy neighbor.
@@___LC___ Actually I would keep a gun in the house. Locked up when I wasn't home but most deff out and handy when I was. I borrowed a dog because my X kept going access. Went I went to the sheriff's dept the detective/probation officer knew exactly who I was talking about and told me to run. I had a full leg cast on so running was not an option. He then told me to keep a loaded gun and shoot him if necessary. I did but got the dog too. One night my car broke down and a friend have me a ride home. Without the car there he figured it was a good time to enter the house again, I was in bed. HA!! Dog got him before I could. Cops came and said I had been turned in for siccing a vicious dog on someone. Cracked me up! I explained the situation and they laughed and left. So I do understand but also know that there other ways to protect yourself.
I was once with a group of people in a restaurant. I ordered only a side salad ($3.75) as that was all I could afford at the time. When the bill came they wanted me to pay $28+ tip. I asked for a separate bill and paid at the counter leaving the rest of them to figure it out.
Niccole - good for you. The flip side of that is a story I heard where a couple who were unemployed & very broke were invited to lunch, and only could afford a side salad each. The other couple order a full meal, and then AFTER the meal informed the broke couple that the lunch was on them. Why wouldn't they tell the invitees before that? How unkind.
My brother’s ex gf would, for her birthday, select an expensive restaurant for a ladies day. Since the understanding was that the bday girl doesn’t pay, it was up to the rest of us. She would choose fairly expensive drinks while the rest of us chose inexpensive drinks. She was very entitled.
That split the bill business happened to me, with workmates. Another gal, who made as much money as I did, said, "let's pick up the difference; we make more money than everyone else". I ordered a very cheap dinner & no alcohol because I was broke. I wound up putting it on my credit card & then refused to go out with them again. I was so pissed off. When I left the company, they begged me to let them take me out for dinner... P. S. I wound up paying for my own dinner. NEVER AGAIN!
For the second story I don’t think that entitled guy realizes that even if you have a lot of money if you’re constantly spending it on paying for everyone’s bills when you go out that money is going to run out fast. You’ll never have a lot of money if you’re spending it all
I stumbled over your stories about 3 weeks ago. I listened and pushed the subscribe button. Then for these Last 3 weeks, I went through all of the entitled ones, petty revenge and now most of the prorevenge. Well needles to say, that is a lot. So much so that I woke up the other morning, to push pause on my phone when the alarm rang. I sat up, and laughed, mostly because my first thought was "damn now I do not know how the story ends" after listening to an unknown story in my dream, told with your voice. 😂😂
I once came home early from work and found my landlord sitting on my bed looking through a family picture album and "playing" with himself. There's nothing in the album that called for such behavior. I moved out the following week. He never apologized. But I was happy to get out of there.
Note: In most places (in the US, at least), it is illegal for your landlord to enter your home without your permission (or sufficient cause and advance notice, such as if they need to get in to fix something, etc). It doesn't matter if they own the building, it is *your home* and if enter without permission it is still trespassing (and may actually be counted as breaking and entering, or other more serious crimes too). The other behaviors are *even more illegal* too, and definitely should be reported to the police. Even if you leave and don't have to deal with them again, it is important that there is a record of these things happening, in case other people also experience similar problems with them.
At my brother's 13th birthday my mom made it clear food was on her because she got a discount for being at a hotel next to the restaurant, but alcohol was on the adult who ordered it. None of my family are big drinkers but alcohol did not get the discount.
Reminds me of a story where a house was no longer broken into. Everytime the couple went out of town their house was broken into. It stopped when their travel agent was arrested.
I was always the person who did the math whenever we do group orders because I'm actually quick (spreadsheet, lol) and that I will tell everyone the exact amount everyone else owed. So, try and pull that crap on me, I'm never dealing with you again. Plus, there's a good chance people will not hangout with leechers again lol... I'm always invited though...
The share the bill thing is so recognizable for me: I don’t drink and don’t eat meat, so paying for other peoples alcohol and expensive dishes is something I really don’t want to do but because of family I sometimes have to. I’m not talking about a 5€ different, but more like paying double the amount of what ai eat and drink to pay the difference. Also in my family I’m one of those adults that makes the least amount of money…
I have a now ex-friend just like the Entitleds from Story 2; expected me and my non-drinking gf to pay for her and a couple other friend's overpriced binge-drinking.
I had something slightly similar to the drinking story happen to me, except I was also drinking. The big difference was that it was my birthday, and I was assured that my drinks would be covered. I still only had 3 drinks, cause I'm not a big drinker, and I don't like to take advantage of people. I ended up having to pay over $300 cause my "friends" all dipped after promising that they had payed their part of the tab.
Would have been funny if the guy was like, "You're right... I SHOULD pay for everyone's drink!" And call the waitress over and tell them that actually they do want the bill split and he was paying for all the regular drinks... the tea and the sodas but NOT the drinker's huge bill. And the 4 that did drink were paying their own bill together. Might annoy the waitress a bit but I'm sure they probably heard the entire fuss the table was making arguing over who was paying for what. They aren't deaf and this probably happens all the time so they probably get it.
I had a coworker who is a great person but he liked to drink a lot, after some meetings where everybody had to pay for his drinks, we choose to go to a restaurant on the university campus where alcohol was not allowed ;)
Had an aisle seat on a "completely full flight" another person had the window. We're waiting for the middle seat passenger to show and finally the crew announced the boarding door is closed. We looked at each other, I said "Score one for us" and we enjoyed the extra space between us.
That flight attendant made the desk have a very unhappy customer on their hands. Good for keeping the boarding going, but I hope there was an understanding that attendants can do that prior to dousing the woman with gas and handing her a match. LOL.
I would have said to Karen when she said sit somewhere else. I think it's better to sit in my assigned seat so I can be identified if we crash ! Hahahaha
me and 3 friends. We would go drinking. Friend #3 would always go to the bathroom when the first 3 rounds were being ordered so he wouldn't have to pay for them, then after round 3 was drunk, he always "had enough" and went home. We quickly got fed up of it and ended up excluding him from the rounds. The first time he got back from the toilet, he asked where his was and we said "You weren't here so we didn't know what you wanted" The second round, he came back and asked where his was we said "We thought you had left" and the third time, he didn't go to the toilet when every one finished, instead friend #2 went to the wc (it was his round) so me and friend #1 turned to friend #3 and said ""Well, friend #2 isn't here to order a round and we have ordered our rounds, you go order" to which he replied, and I'm serious, "You haven't brought me a single drink today, why should I buy you cheap skates on?"
My name is truly Karen but thank God I'm not anything like that! With me it's what you see is what you get. My Pastor calls me Squeaky. LOL Have a fantabulous day yall.
2:18 as an airline worker, I can assure you that planes coming from _any_ airport can be diverted. it can be due to weather, fuel (usually due to navigating around a large storm - too much or too little fuel can cause major issues when taking off and landing, so there's a lot of numbers that go into it), emergencies, etc.
I've only been in that case where we split up a bill a few times, and I've always been careful not to pay too little, and people have never tried to ask me to pay too much. In fact, we've usually worked out just about what we got and put down what would have been the correct amounts in each case. I doubt that anyone would have lost out by even as much as three or four dollars by our methods.
I'm someone who's never really come across Karen's/Chad's in my life, or at least I never have noticed it. But while I was thinking hard about if I had a story I could voice for Fluff, I thought of a great one. So, little backstory: I'm 18 but this happened when I was 17, so early 2021. My friend that was with me for this was 18 at the time. Now they're a little special in the membrane sometimes, but they're also very smart. Now they have therapy rats that they bring with them almost everywhere (This will come up in the story) and they stay on his shoulder or in his jackets, never on food items in stores, etc. I also have horrid stage fright and PTSD. Now for the story. So it's early 2021 and me and my friend (We'll call him Michael) had gone grocery shopping for him and his mom at a known grocery store that starts with F. Now he brought one of his more calm rats with us, her switching from his to my shoulder every so often. Now lots of customers wanted to pet her or take pictures, and he's totally fine with that (since he likes showing them off). And let me also note that we've been here many times before and the management was totally fine with it as long as the rat(s) stayed on our person. Which they always did. Now cut to checkout, to which we always use self-check, ratto is on Michaels shoulder while I'm waiting with the cart to push everything out when he's done bagging and paying. Now take it there's an employee (a manager) standing right next to the register we're at, obviously having seen the rat before and totally fine with it. But oh BOY do we get some drama right as we're about to leave. Michael is now putting his card and receipt away when we both hear, "Why do you have a RODENT in the store?" In comes Chad. At first Michael nervously chuckled thinking it was a joke, not to mention he gets really nervous talking to strangers unless he meets them through me or family, or he's giving knowledgeable information on animals to them. Now after that chuckle, Chad isn't having it and spouts, "What's so funny? Is this a joke to you?" And by now we've started getting the attention of other customers which starts to put me into a small panic. I'm not good with lots of eyes on me as is, especially when it's being caused by someone making a mountain out of a mole hill. Luckily his tween daughter that was there was trying to calm him down and tell him to stop. Didn't work sadly. Not wanting this to escalate, I speak up respectfully, "It's just a rat, sir, it's not bothering you and it is allowed to be here," Mistake 1. Now he's angry and spits out, "It's a dirty RODENT! A RODENT in a grocery store! You could've infected everyone here's groceries!" Okay, now I was on the verge of a panic attack/wanting to knock this guys lights out. BUT, being the obviously bigger person here, I noticed Michael was freaking out so I just motioned for him to start leaving and went to follow. But did Chad give up? Oh no, he yelled after us which prompted the manager there to stop and talk with him, and for his daughter to to try and hold him back while I hollered back more rudely now, "It's a RAT, SIR, It's not BOTHERING you so LEAVE IT BE." And after that we left and headed to my car. Oh but that's not the end of the story. After we had loaded everything in, I went to put the cart back, and not a minute after I see Chad and his tween girl coming out with him YELLING, "DONT GO IN THERE, THERES A RAT IN THE STORE! DONT GO INTO THERE, THEY ALLOW RODENTS!" And oh boy did I run back cackling which caused Michael, who was coming down from a stress high, to look at me like I was crazy. I did feel bad for his daughter though, as I know what it's like to grow up with someone like that as family.
I had a friend who did this constantly whenever we went to a restaurant or ordered take out. She would order multiple drinks, appetizers, dinner & dessert, while the rest of us would have 1 glass of wine, no appetizer or dessert, just dinner. Of course, you know where this is going. When the bill came she would split it 6 ways. I said I only had a $5 glass of wine and a $15 entree, so $20 + tax & a $4 tip! The other 4 friends followed my lead & everyone's bill was about the same. We all handed her $25 each. Well, she exploded & said we all shared the appetizer(we didn't & she had ordered 2 coz she couldn't decide) I told her to take home what was left. Her part of the bill was $60. Not including tax & tip. She didn't have the cash so I told her to put it on her credit card & she could use the cash we gave her for the tip. That didn't go over well & it was quite awhile before we all went out to dinner again. When we did, we asked the waitstaff for separate checks! Needless to say, she got the point.😂
Story 1: Too much after "Sorry, that's my seat." Call the FA. Move her stuff somewhere else (back of the plane, or to the boarding door. Then a calm voice in her face with hints or repercussions. (However, the outcome is superbly priceless.)
The entitled drinkers sound like a co-worker. We'd go out for lunch, she'd collect the cash then pay on her credit card, saying she didn't carry enough cash. Usually we'd lay out a couple bucks over our total plus a 20% tip. I later found she was getting a free meal each time, plus pocketing what was left of the tips. (I didn't figure it out until I'd quit the job and returned 6 months later, and was invited out for lunch. After saying goodbye, I asked the cashier and she told me no tip was left. I left a proper tip then told my ex-worker, now boss, what was going on. It was an expensive "free" lunch for me, but worth it.)
An excellent tactic! Giving Karen attention but not the kind she was expecting.
I have to remember this. This woman has passed out in my seat. She needs medical help.

Dark Fluff said FA should write a book on how to get unruly passengers off a plane.
My bet she would get sued for plagiarizing her airlines Standard Operating Procedures for Flight Attendants if she did.
TLDR, I bet FA was following SOP.

I had a boss who did this on a regular basis. Thank goodness the bill can be split into multiple checks now with automated systems.
Why would you pay. Their booze their bill! Let them go to jail.
@@sharonblevins3281 Right, but you weren't related to them or their parents. 🤔 1st.
It's sad that we all have our bad family crosses to bear...

THEN YOU'RE GONNA BE IN BIG TROUBLE!"

I bet he hoped that the wife will call her boyfriend to help
When you're sent into the bar because "the table isn't ready yet", know that this is INTENTIONAL - to get you to spend more money!
They can't exactly go up to somebody halfway through their dinner and say "sorry, you're taking too long to eat, and somebody else wants the table, so you're going to have to leave." (They also can't factor in too much "buffer space" between seatings, or they're left with a large portion of their tables empty all the time, and that means they can't serve as many people, which means lost income, higher prices, and longer wait times for everyone)
So they do try the best they can, but sometimes people take longer than expected, or somebody comes in with a large party (and no reservation) and they have to try their best to rearrange everything to squeeze them in (which throws everything else off), or the staff have just been so slammed that nobody's had any time to clean off the table yet, or any one of about fifty other things can go wrong, and so sometimes it can take a few more minutes than expected for a table to actually become available. To be honest, even though I've done it myself, the fact that most places can manage to have tables available exactly when they're supposed to be so much of the time still kinda seems like magic sometimes...
Generally the decision to split a tab or have separate checks is made beforehand.
I ALWAYS go for separate checks.
Saved money and heart ache!
Ghost that fucker!
In the UK we call this "having short arms and long pockets".

I always insist on separate bills, every time.
@@Mark_Agamotto1313_Smith So did I after that stunt was pulled the first time...then they give you the hairy eyebrow at that as well lol

Some people just don't want to be fair,
Great airplane story! Really the flight attendant gave everyone else an upgrade...
In europe it is pretty common actually. But in these cases the amount is at least comparable
We do that when everyone is just getting apps to share or tapas or something. Some restaurants also don’t do separate checks for parties over a certain number because of gratuity etc (used to be way more common than now)
In my friend group we all venmo the cost of our meal to one person and that person pays
Definitely file charges and give camera footage to police
Yeah I agree but... the guy didn't move and leave the neighborhood for months afterward but nothing is said about the police arresting him? Either OP never called or that story is a complete BS fabrication.
Well we know what she met of toys. There oldlid
How astute of you! I did a paper in college expounding on the Aristotilian concept of the virtuous friendship.
That's the concept of parasitology, not friendship.
Story One: I wanna know what airline company that was. If all the attendants were like her, I would want to fly through that company from now on.
Like yeah sure they make the most but that's because they probably worked their butt off to make that much
So true, and the idiots are the ones who racked up the bill, hope they stopped hanging out with them
Or, more likely, the person most well off in a company like that is just comfortable with living well within their means.
Doesn't matter how they have it the people treating it like it belongs to them are wrong however you slice it.
Job Performance Level: Mastered As a flight attendant slyfully get a wild Karen and her kid off a plan.

@@mcduck5 I'd be willing to bet that the folks have certain code words when it comes to people like her. Like from what I heard with Disney. When you hear an employee say something like "someone spilled a protein shake" that that means that someone threw up.

Advanced Master: got the wild Karen and crotchgoblin off the plane under her own power, willingly.
Anyone who expects you to pay for their bar tab or anything for that matter is not your friend not even in the least bit
We need a book on how to deal with Karen's. No matter where they are, it could be a massive help.
We already have. It's called the second amendment.
@@emanymton7184 Good answer.
But, there are also Karen's all around the 🌍. We need a book that is all inclusive, too.

I work in retail and work in Produce, not in Grocery, and had a woman ask me if we had a specific brand over in grocery. I politely told her I don't know if we have that brand, but I can go look fot her. She got upset and asked me.
"Don't you work here?"
"Yes, ma'am. I do."
"Then you should know if you have this product or not."
"I don't know because I work in produce not in grocery."
"Well you should know where everything is inside the store."
I then replied. "Ma'am, I'm trying to help you, but if you don't want my help I will go back to my department because I have work to do. So do you want my help or not?"
She actually backed away.
Sure except half these stories are fake or extremely embellished.
Bless you for having timestamps for the stories. Not all TH-camrs do that.
Looks like the real snakes on the plane were that Karen and her kid
When I was young, I got suckered into buying expensive drinks before. When it came time for others to buy a round, I wound up being given a cheap draft beer. That cured me of buying rounds for others when they order expensive for themselves and can't even reciprocate what I was drinking.
I stopped splitting at work lunches many years ago for crap like that. People would get $10 or $15 of drinks, and a $20 entry at just a regular lunch. Then expect everyone to split. The same people would pack their lunch with leftovers any other time. They know what they are doing.
What mentality has 4 people thinking they could make 8 others pay for their addiction.
The self-entitled drug addict mentality.
“Upgrade” is the obvious solution to get a Karen off of a plane.
Oh this made my day! Thanks for posting, cause I look forward to these. That flight attendent was a true master of the arts of dealing with Karen's!
Read a Readers Digest story years ago about how a flight attendant dealt with a rowdy little boy who was running up & down and annoying all the passengers while mommy did nothing. She stopped him in the aisle and asked him if he'd like to go play outside.
I just imagined the flight attendant holding some kind of tangible upgrade like a doggy treat and Karen running after her like a starving puppy
Story 2: Wanna know how OP is richer than the rest? He doesn’t spend $125.50 on drinks!
Exactly, I can see him doing this to someone else.
When Karen left the plane for her upgrade I was hoping that that was what the flight attendant was doing. The story didn’t disappoint me, yay!
That little karen is actually called a kit... Karen In Training! K.I.T!
1st story was brilliant! A brilliant ending. Story 2: holy crap! 3rd story: creepy dude and good riddance
She was very entitled.
she was upgraded from passenger with a seat to having a seat in the terminal waiting for another flight. Serves her right.

Yes! Your jingle ought to be in the vids. It's one of the best I've heard thus far 🤩☕🦙😋
For the second story I don’t think that entitled guy realizes that even if you have a lot of money if you’re constantly spending it on paying for everyone’s bills when you go out that money is going to run out fast. You’ll never have a lot of money if you’re spending it all
Darkfluff is honestly my favorite narrator for these stories out of all of the different channels I've watched from
I agree. Very easy on the ears.
You call the police for trespassing, and also just mention to them what his other activity was. Just so he knows they know.
That first story, brilliant! That last story. Creepy and gross!
The sequel to snakes on a plane, Karens on a plane.
It's an oxymoron.
Reminds me of a story where a house was no longer broken into. Everytime the couple went out of town their house was broken into. It stopped when their travel agent was arrested.
she should've had that guy arrested because he'll just move somewhere where he isn't known like another state and most likely do this stuff again
Drinking a lot or eating a lot and expecting me to pay, happens all the time. A relative doesnt talk to me because I refused to pay this time
Oh God. "Sorry I stole your stuff. Here's your underwear I've been sniffing -- and probably worse -- you can have it back now." UM, NO *THANK* YOU? 😳
Upgrades at the desk is the biggest trick in the flight attendants book. They never get upgrades.
Ouch... on your bday too! I hope you got something free for your bday!
Man, I hope you dropped those "friends."
I love the flight attendant in the first story. Bet that Karen was mad but who cares? She wasn't listening at all
I let an unemployed family/freinds live in my house for 2 years. I had moved out of state. THEY CUT MY TREES DOWN!!!
Just broke my foot again. This is just what I needed. ♥️
Well done that flight attendant.
That flight attendant made the desk have a very unhappy customer on their hands. Good for keeping the boarding going, but I hope there was an understanding that attendants can do that prior to dousing the woman with gas and handing her a match. LOL.
Nah, that's good training for airport security ;)
@@SonsOfLorgar I would have liked to have had a view of that, actually.
Last story - BRILLIANT!!!
"Don't cuss at me or I'll hang up!"
*are you challenging me?*
The airline one was absolute perfection.
I'm someone who's never really come across Karen's/Chad's in my life, or at least I never have noticed it. But while I was thinking hard about if I had a story I could voice for Fluff, I thought of a great one.
So, little backstory:
I'm 18 but this happened when I was 17, so early 2021.
