As someone who's played since the beta I agree with a lot of the points in this video and it sucks that most of the dragon ball community has chosen to ignore this games existence. While I don't think the game is dead as it's still getting updates and players are trying to keep the game alive I do believe if bandai wants to keep it alive they have to make the game f2p. The most fun I've had in the game was in the beta where everyone was on the same level and everyone could play together. And recently I remember being in a vc with friends and when I mentioned the game being 20 bucks Two of them yelled "IT'S NOT FREE!?!?!?" Great video nice editing

Many of these points you made were somewhat valid. Raider que keeps messing up the game cause EVERYONE wants to be raider. And when everyone is a raider, no one is a survivor. So that's why the normal que is kept while raider is "Under maintenance". Also for the raider with friends, the reason they removed it is cause people would TEAM with their friends and make the game unfair for others, so thank people who wanted to make it hell on Earth(or using it to GET PLATINUM on PS). (Yes, someone used raider with friends to 100% their Breakers profile).
Good Video! Some of this stuff is hard to hear and is the reality sadly. However, I will always fight that this game is INCREDIBLY f2p friendly. It may not appear so at first glance, but 3/4 skills I run on my actives are literally skills you can use day 1. The only skill I'd consider "mandatory" that's in the gacha is instant transmission. Beyond that, if you have a good team you'll be fine. Really would be nice to see some folks make some videos about Breakers being overheated or how communities who cry for change spit at the first sight of it lol. Maybe I'll have to do that myself. The game ain't flawless, far from it. I do genuinely consider it to be the one of the most innovative and unique video games I've ever played, let alone Dragon Ball games. Also, considering Naruto Shinobi Striker had a similar release to Breakers and that game is still being supported I don't see the game going anywhere anytime soon. With Goku Black and crossplay on the way there's a lot to look forward to! If they get better at implementing consistent updates I think the game will be in a great place but we'll see! Despite difference of opinions thought this was a well put together vid man!!

I agree that some stuff isn’t mandatory to run, as well as you can be F2P (I’ve never spent money on the game and I think I have pretty good skills as well) I think my biggest gripe with the game is that it can be extremely dull during some celebrations, the odd meta changes sometimes, and the lack of real meaningful updates. I don’t mean how they don’t add characters, yeah they do but there’s no improvements in terms of performance and gameplay. I do really think the game was a solid idea I’m just sad at the way it eventually turned out. Again I am glad we can have discussions like these with varying opinions. This is my favorite game and it really piss me off the stupid decisions the developers have made, they make it very difficult to defend it, especially with the addition of region lock
Well cross-play is definitely a step forward, and if they make better balance adjustments and also hopefully don't rush the season 5 raider like they did Broly it would be another.
3:26 that's my problem with online games. Players who have nothing better to do with their lives play constantly and when there's no players they show no mercy cause they act like they die in real life if the lose so they got to win cause every multiplayer game NEEDS to be competitive. It's their fault online games die or at risk of dying
I played alot, and I just cant play anymore, I couldnt pull sprint from the gatcha, and I dont want to play anymore without it, its too valuable to not have. everyone runs around so much faster than me.
It’s pretty overrated. I have sprint but I don’t run it because it got so boring running that skill (no pun intended lol). There’s way better passives to use so unless it’s a speed build then you don’t need sprint

Sprint was good back when passive skills were limited but there's so many better passives to use. But I feel you that it's dumb you haven't acquired the skill yet
What I find to be the most hilarious "defense" of this game is "bUt YoU dRaGoN bAlL fAnS aSkEd fOr a uNiQuE gAmE AnD NoW ThAt yOu hAvE It yOu dArE CoMpLaIn?!" The thing is I did ask for a unique DB game but I was more so thinking about a Dragon Ball MLB game based off the Yamcha episode, or maybe a Mario Kart Dragon Ball clone, or fucking hell maybe a Dragon Ball styled Dynasty Warriors game. Please enlighten me, tell me how many fans of Dragon Ball looked at Dead by Daylight and said "damn this game would be better if it had Goku in it". I don't recall a single soul asking for this game specifically. Namco had every opportunity to make a fun DB spin off game but Breaker's very existence is proof that they only make spin off games for the sole purpose of keeping the Dragon Ball IP exclusivity license. Nothing more.
This game had never any hope to succeed, and it was doomed from the start. I'm sorry but vast majority of the dragon ball fanbase don't want to be playing a dragon ball game as a weak ass human that can't fight where they have to keep running away and hiding from the threat that's attacking them. Vast majority of the fanbase want to take part in high scale, high speed battles and play as characters that are powerful. Breakers on the other hand was literally the exact opposite of that. It's literally as if Rockstar released GTA VI, but removed cars, guns, missions and made it into a visual novel.
Something like this would be a fun minigame in like a Tenkaichi game. Like how in mk we used to have mk chess and cart. So smaller scale, keep what actually makes it fun

A lot of fans say this mainly because you actually have to think while playing the game and not constant battling like the typical db games. This probably isn't your intention, but I'm just calling it like it is.
Don’t get me wrong I agree with this at some level. My issue with the game is that it could’ve been more, especially with the resources that they have at their disposal. (Not the generic recycling of assets they used in the game)
I agree with many of your point, though things like Raider Queue isn't healthy for the game. Not the concept, but the execution. The playerbase is incredibly small and Raider queue broke the game multiple times. When it was released and when it was brought back. Me and friends of mine sometimes waited up to 3 hours and with the priority system it simply works better. Everyone gets to play Raider and even though the queue times are still not great, they're by far better. Lack of content, crossplay and regionlock, I hope these get fixed and that S5 can once again bring in some new players. I think the game is fine, it's fun and nice to play with friends though sadly the problems it has often gets in the way. The game won't ever become as 'popular' as it was on release but hope that we can get a few players back and new ones in if Bandai finally does the right thing. Also making the game free to play would work much better with everything though considering how much in the game you can get without paying a cent, they have to make money somehow, which is of course still no justification for the 20 bucks. I think 10 would be perfectly fine.
as someone who also plays the game Raider Quere needs to come back when we get more players Especially since they added forced rank The least fun I had was getting my raider to Z5 because hours of hours of playing survivor when I really didn't feel like it only to get smacked back down to Z4 by a fuckin premade everytime I nearly made it has made me barely touch the game ever since I got him up there. I haven't played raider once since then aswell outta fear that I may need to keep the rank to get the rewards and not wanting to get smacked in a unbeatable match by premades Being raider is a chore sometimes because of this and it's a problem

it really is a shame about the state it is in currently. i cannot and will not defend the flaws of the breakers as i have been here since the beta and i have to say. despite everything bad about it, i want it to succeed at some point. i dont want it to be the worst as it is such a neat concept. hopefully when crossplay is implemented next season then matchmaking wont be as shit as it is right now.

This game definitely has potential to be an awsome game, but there is that one side of the devs and companies who are just pretty damn greedy *cough* Dimps! *cough* and ruin the experience for everyone. Edit: Two more things I would like to add is if they are gonna keep the 20 dollar price tage, they should have a pity system for the summonalbe skills like how they do with the super attacks, or leave the gacha as it is but get rid if the price tag. They should also not make it so hard to get the raider and/or survivor skins because that price for the TP tokens are outrageous.
Saying “it’s the worst dragon ball game” isn’t true, not by a long shot. It’s absolutely the worst handled DB game, one of the worst I’ve seen actually. Half the games problems come down to having such a small player count that the game can hardly function (match making and raider queue). How does breakers respond to low player counts? 20$ price tag, gotcha system that’s “pay to skip” (skip the grind), newer players are statistically weaker than older players, and no regulations on premades stomping any chance of raiders winning. The gameplay isn’t bad, it’s just so ungodly unfriendly to new players and yet the (likely inexperienced) devs being told what to do by soulless corporate exes only make it worse. The games not dead, even though people have been saying it since it was still in beta and dotodoya has made 5 videos alone saying this game is dead or stupid, it’s not dead yet. It’s just instead of addressing these massive issues, the game survives from season to season off the hype they generate.
I can respect your opinion, I personally do believe the game doesn’t have much leverage going forward. I think another point that really cements it for me is the fact that the game had no actual hype/announcement going forward on Dragon Ball hour 2024 and since then we just wait till they shut it down.

Yeah I agree here with neko, it’s the little things that they do that aren’t really worth keeping a playerbase for long. People will come then immediately drop off because the game isn’t actually that fun to play long term.
Because of Broly. The anniversary brought people back but Broly is so OP and broken he's near impossible to beat. Super transpheres are just normal transpheres with the effect from a shenron wish but there's not much of a difference from normal transphere, they can take a bit more damage but you can still lose energy in a few hits. I once got hit by broly mid dodge. The blast being where I last was when I vanished due to the oversized hit box of his ki attacks. I was flying to fight broly and he took me down before I could even get into range with a few ki blasts. Normal transpheres cant do shit to broly making super transpheres the best chance cause while their damage is not that much better from normal transpheres they are the only ones that can do the usual default damage like his endurance bar drain etc. transpheres are underpowered and yet the have the AUDACITY to buff Broly when he needs nerfs. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Broly completely ignore players or me when using the super transphere cause ki blasts do so little damage and ultimates usually miss. So he ignores you, goes for survivors, levels up and THEN he fights you cause it's easier for him. It's a cheesy way to win and he has no punishment for it. Damage isnt an issue, its literally no concern. He loses like 1% hp with every hit so health isn't a problem for him to manage. You're just a fly to him and once he gets level three he takes you out in two hits. Broly is a combat raider and they avoid combat and do whatever makes fights easier and it's annoying especially when there's zero punishment or risks. He's not fun and I groan every time someone chooses him. I sometimes just quit the que screen cause I just dont want to deal with Broly. He can take out two survivors in the first ten seconds. Every time I start a match im going into buildings and almost immediately shit starts blowing up and im down. How is that fair?! I just dont like playing against a Broly player. He ruins the game. So im not surprised that the game is dying again cause I bet no one else wants to deal with Broly. As soon as the raider picks Broly I either let myself die or just close and reopen the game and look for another session cause I just hate Broly in this game. He's overpowered. Either give him nerfs or nobody is playing. Buff the super transpheres too so they're not useless.
Apparently you haven't seen the reall hell and terror of survivors. I'm AFRAID of playing Broly because of the first time I lost because of Super Transheres and regular Transheres with combinations of Unconscious Control, Instant Transmission + Energy Field, and/or cheesy ass supers. Premades are the true terror in this game, and shows how one sided this game is for survivors and terrible balance that gives raiders hardly any chance.

Its really optimal to do it with other level 3s. also a tip is when the raider is trying to kill someone, stunned by either your stun skill or a teammate's, doing a combo or is getting comboed thats the best time to use a super attack. Hell there was a time where i did almost half of broly's HP solo as SSJ Vegeta.
Dont go for games you need to buy but on top of that they have all the micro transaction stuff (buying and paying subscription and getting DLCs is ok for multiplayer games, but not pay to win gatcha stuff). games should have one way to monetize.

I think what you mean to say that it's the worst handled modern Dragon Ball game (OF ALL TIME lol). It's a shame because all of the complaints and problems with the game were both entirely brought on by the publishers themselves and could be fixed by said developers but I feel like that the Breakers team is probably too small to handle it by this point. The anniversary was an absolute nightmare of several hour long queues which weren't even the result of its small player base, it was entirely bug related which they would not even attempt to address until it went free for the weekend on Playstation. I preordered this game, I've loved it since the beta and I still do but damn is it not frustrating the way its been handled. All of this game's problems have incredibly simple solutions, make the game free if you're not going to remove the gacha element, remove the gacha element if you're going to make people pay for it, add more fun stuff to use into the item pool when searching for stuff on the map, don't base your balancing around people taking advantage of the game's already poor match making by rigging their matches, and just generally fixing the bugs and overhaul the match making but at this point, I'm honestly afraid of them doing the latter after the anniversary. Anyway, I love this game even with the amount of bad decisions plaguing it, no amount of buffs to your raider will save you from the cave of beatings so don't cry about it if you get tricked into going into one, etc.

hopefully works But I can tell you why this is the case There are multiple reasons why we don't have more players 1: the game charged you money for access and then tried to gacha system you Dragon ball fans and gaming fans in general are sick of micro transactions in games 2: most dragon ball fans have almost no braincells Its the same reason why usually arcs with the least amount of fighting are called shit and boring Dragon ball fans can't stand to go 2 seconds without punching something so a game where you cant just go fuckin punch all your problems immediately is too complex for them you can only pick one So do you pick the raider who has the most content Or do you miss out and go for the survivor skin which is just changed animations and appearances and a new skill Its even worse with Ironcane (breakers TH-camr) on most things he made a argument that base skills are all ya need And yeah it's not impossible if you get good with them but the problem is if you want versatility in your skill set you gotta hope to God you get lucky with the summoning system *which can be a nightmare* Or you gotta buy the survivor skins instead of the raider to get said characters passive and active skills Locking skills behind paywalls and gambling is not ok and is another reason why the game is failing It pisses me off too, im not saying you can't do the summoning system but maybe make it to where you can also buy the skills with "Zeni" not tp medals, but zeni or new skills can be behind the gacha system and eventually after the season ends be added to the zeni shop that could raise the stakes in a fun and not frustrating way so you don't risk losing the ability to get the skills or transpheres 5: balance the damn game I'm not talking about the raiders are op people who also have zero braincells because they can't learn to not fight the fuckin raider alone because they are dragon ball fans and fighting is all they can do and strategy is not a concept in their mind I'm talking about the survivors many of which have sets of skills that are completely unbalanced and unfair for the raider Particularly a certain skill combo called fuckin energy field + IT where they basically get a free getaway Instead of adding a specific raider *which you have to pay for with TP* to deal with it How about instead you add a cool down between the 2 skills or the ability to break the energy field early after enough damage so that the survivors don't get a get outta jail free card Also on top of this the survivors can too easily defeat the raider by ganging up maybe add more invincibility frames for the fuckin raiders when in clashes so they arnt sitting targets 6: this one is a theory but I am pretty sure they have little funding for this game which would explain all the setbacks and delays Think about it Bandai is almost as bad as rockstar when it comes to milking the product Instead of making XenoVerse 3 they have milked XenoVerse 2 for countless years With so many dlcs *which are overpriced* to the point where it you wanted all of em youd spend more than the base game many times over when the base game has way more content then the dlcs Not to mention their tp system which is also a sluggish grindfest designed to try and get you to pay for them instead XenoVerse 2 is Bandais GTA 5 And this won't change unless a game surpasses it FighterZ has far less dlcs in comparison probably because with XenoVerse they can just copy and paste most of the skills and moveset and just add a few new ones and charge full dlc price They don't wanna give breakers more funding because it's not XenoVerse and alot of these models *ones that aren't in XenoVerse* are having to be made by scratch and bandai is too greedy to wanna spend any damn money on new things Budokai Tenkaichi sparking Zero will guaranteed be second little to XenoVerse still because they don't have to put as much effort into XenoVerse 6: the fanbase is for the most part nice But you've got a big problem with playing raider and running into a premade *a group of players who arnt randomly selected* who also have a unfair advantage *I'll get to it* and not only dominate you with unfair combinations that are almost uncombatable but will call you trash and garbage in your messages after winning 7: the survivors do not have enough communication options Voice chat would be nice but at the very least give us more fuckin symbols and stuff to use there isn't enough communication and stickers are fuckin horrible communication options Premades have an unfair advantage because they're all often on discord or something and can talk each other through the whole thing unlike normal lobbies 8: *bonus round* i like super broly but why in the fuck would you pick him over Z broly especially if your gonna charge for voice lines Yes i wanna waste my tp on broly making sounds as voice lines Ite fuckin stupid they shouldn't charge tp at all for voice kines like that

This is my favorite game and it really piss me off the stupid decisions the developers have made, they make it very difficult to defend it, especially with the addition of region lock
Well cross-play is definitely a step forward, and if they make better balance adjustments and also hopefully don't rush the season 5 raider like they did Broly it would be another.
3:26 that's my problem with online games. Players who have nothing better to do with their lives play constantly and when there's no players they show no mercy cause they act like they die in real life if the lose so they got to win cause every multiplayer game NEEDS to be competitive. It's their fault online games die or at risk of dying
I played alot, and I just cant play anymore, I couldnt pull sprint from the gatcha, and I dont want to play anymore without it, its too valuable to not have. everyone runs around so much faster than me.
It’s pretty overrated. I have sprint but I don’t run it because it got so boring running that skill (no pun intended lol). There’s way better passives to use so unless it’s a speed build then you don’t need sprint

its not really about escape, its about how fast you can collect loot and contribute to the team, if your always 20%faster than normal for an entire game , your getting 20%more stuff done in general, sprint ls functionally a 20%buff to your ability to play the game @@TheReZisTLust
Sprint was good back when passive skills were limited but there's so many better passives to use. But I feel you that it's dumb you haven't acquired the skill yet

The thing is I did ask for a unique DB game but I was more so thinking about a Dragon Ball MLB game based off the Yamcha episode, or maybe a Mario Kart Dragon Ball clone, or fucking hell maybe a Dragon Ball styled Dynasty Warriors game.
Please enlighten me, tell me how many fans of Dragon Ball looked at Dead by Daylight and said "damn this game would be better if it had Goku in it". I don't recall a single soul asking for this game specifically. Namco had every opportunity to make a fun DB spin off game but Breaker's very existence is proof that they only make spin off games for the sole purpose of keeping the Dragon Ball IP exclusivity license. This game had never any hope to succeed, and it was doomed from the start. I'm sorry but vast majority of the dragon ball fanbase don't want to be playing a dragon ball game as a weak ass human that can't fight where they have to keep running away and hiding from the threat that's attacking them. Vast majority of the fanbase want to take part in high scale, high speed battles and play as characters that are powerful. Breakers on the other hand was literally the exact opposite of that. It's literally as if Rockstar released GTA VI, but removed cars, guns, missions and made it into a visual novel.
This game isn’t for dragon ball fans. It’s for people who are a fan of the asymmetrical genre such as DBD and TCM game
Something like this would be a fun minigame in like a Tenkaichi game. Like how in mk we used to have mk chess and cart. So smaller scale, keep what actually makes it fun

I seen so many XV2 players wish and ask for different game modes in the game yet when something actually comes out, those same players just stick to the same basic PVP and PQ system instead of trying out what they asked for.
A lot of fans say this mainly because you actually have to think while playing the game and not constant battling like the typical db games. This probably isn't your intention, but I'm just calling it like it is.

Don’t get me wrong I agree with this at some level. My issue with the game is that it could’ve been more, especially with the resources that they have at their disposal. (Not the generic recycling of assets they used in the game)

I agree with many of your point, though things like Raider Queue isn't healthy for the game. Not the concept, but the execution. The playerbase is incredibly small and Raider queue broke the game multiple times. When it was released and when it was brought back. Me and friends of mine sometimes waited up to 3 hours and with the priority system it simply works better. Everyone gets to play Raider and even though the queue times are still not great, they're by far better. Lack of content, crossplay and regionlock, I hope these get fixed and that S5 can once again bring in some new players. I think the game is fine, it's fun and nice to play with friends though sadly the problems it has often gets in the way. The game won't ever become as 'popular' as it was on release but hope that we can get a few players back and new ones in if Bandai finally does the right thing. Also making the game free to play would work much better with everything though considering how much in the game you can get without paying a cent, they have to make money somehow, which is of course still no justification for the 20 bucks. I think 10 would be perfectly fine.

The least fun I had was getting my raider to Z5 because hours of hours of playing survivor when I really didn't feel like it only to get smacked back down to Z4 by a fuckin premade everytime I nearly made it has made me barely touch the game ever since I got him up there.
I haven't played raider once since then aswell outta fear that I may need to keep the rank to get the rewards and not wanting to get smacked in a unbeatable match by premades
Being raider is a chore sometimes because of this and it's a problem
@@gabrielchastain6091 I agree. Sadly we cannot afford the luxury of Raider queue with the current player count. The game needs to multiply the active player base by a lot to have Raider queue in without breaking the game.

it really is a shame about the state it is in currently. i cannot and will not defend the flaws of the breakers as i have been here since the beta and i have to say. despite everything bad about it, i want it to succeed at some point. i dont want it to be the worst as it is such a neat concept. hopefully when crossplay is implemented next season then matchmaking wont be as shit as it is right now.

This game definitely has potential to be an awsome game, but there is that one side of the devs and companies who are just pretty damn greedy *cough* Dimps! *cough* and ruin the experience for everyone.
Edit: Two more things I would like to add is if they are gonna keep the 20 dollar price tage, they should have a pity system for the summonalbe skills like how they do with the super attacks, or leave the gacha as it is but get rid if the price tag. They should also not make it so hard to get the raider and/or survivor skins because that price for the TP tokens are outrageous.

Saying “it’s the worst dragon ball game” isn’t true, not by a long shot. It’s absolutely the worst handled DB game, one of the worst I’ve seen actually. Half the games problems come down to having such a small player count that the game can hardly function (match making and raider queue).
How does breakers respond to low player counts? 20$ price tag, gotcha system that’s “pay to skip” (skip the grind), newer players are statistically weaker than older players, and no regulations on premades stomping any chance of raiders winning.
The gameplay isn’t bad, it’s just so ungodly unfriendly to new players and yet the (likely inexperienced) devs being told what to do by soulless corporate exes only make it worse.
The games not dead, even though people have been saying it since it was still in beta and dotodoya has made 5 videos alone saying this game is dead or stupid, it’s not dead yet. It’s just instead of addressing these massive issues, the game survives from season to season off the hype they generate.
I can respect your opinion, I personally do believe the game doesn’t have much leverage going forward. I think another point that really cements it for me is the fact that the game had no actual hype/announcement going forward on Dragon Ball hour 2024 and since then we just wait till they shut it down.

Because of Broly. The anniversary brought people back but Broly is so OP and broken he's near impossible to beat. Super transpheres are just normal transpheres with the effect from a shenron wish but there's not much of a difference from normal transphere, they can take a bit more damage but you can still lose energy in a few hits. I once got hit by broly mid dodge. The blast being where I last was when I vanished due to the oversized hit box of his ki attacks. I was flying to fight broly and he took me down before I could even get into range with a few ki blasts. Normal transpheres cant do shit to broly making super transpheres the best chance cause while their damage is not that much better from normal transpheres they are the only ones that can do the usual default damage like his endurance bar drain etc. transpheres are underpowered and yet the have the AUDACITY to buff Broly when he needs nerfs. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Broly completely ignore players or me when using the super transphere cause ki blasts do so little damage and ultimates usually miss. So he ignores you, goes for survivors, levels up and THEN he fights you cause it's easier for him. It's a cheesy way to win and he has no punishment for it. Damage isnt an issue, its literally no concern. He loses like 1% hp with every hit so health isn't a problem for him to manage. You're just a fly to him and once he gets level three he takes you out in two hits. Broly is a combat raider and they avoid combat and do whatever makes fights easier and it's annoying especially when there's zero punishment or risks. He's not fun and I groan every time someone chooses him. I sometimes just quit the que screen cause I just dont want to deal with Broly. He can take out two survivors in the first ten seconds. Every time I start a match im going into buildings and almost immediately shit starts blowing up and im down. How is that fair?! I just dont like playing against a Broly player. He ruins the game. So im not surprised that the game is dying again cause I bet no one else wants to deal with Broly. As soon as the raider picks Broly I either let myself die or just close and reopen the game and look for another session cause I just hate Broly in this game. He's overpowered. Either give him nerfs or nobody is playing. Buff the super transpheres too so they're not useless.
Apparently you haven't seen the reall hell and terror of survivors. I'm AFRAID of playing Broly because of the first time I lost because of Super Transheres and regular Transheres with combinations of Unconscious Control, Instant Transmission + Energy Field, and/or cheesy ass supers.
Premades are the true terror in this game, and shows how one sided this game is for survivors and terrible balance that gives raiders hardly any chance.

Its really optimal to do it with other level 3s. also a tip is when the raider is trying to kill someone, stunned by either your stun skill or a teammate's, doing a combo or is getting comboed thats the best time to use a super attack. Hell there was a time where i did almost half of broly's HP solo as SSJ Vegeta.

I think what you mean to say that it's the worst handled modern Dragon Ball game (OF ALL TIME lol). It's a shame because all of the complaints and problems with the game were both entirely brought on by the publishers themselves and could be fixed by said developers but I feel like that the Breakers team is probably too small to handle it by this point. The anniversary was an absolute nightmare of several hour long queues which weren't even the result of its small player base, it was entirely bug related which they would not even attempt to address until it went free for the weekend on Playstation. I preordered this game, I've loved it since the beta and I still do but damn is it not frustrating the way its been handled. All of this game's problems have incredibly simple solutions, make the game free if you're not going to remove the gacha element, remove the gacha element if you're going to make people pay for it, add more fun stuff to use into the item pool when searching for stuff on the map, don't base your balancing around people taking advantage of the game's already poor match making by rigging their matches, and just generally fixing the bugs and overhaul the match making but at this point, I'm honestly afraid of them doing the latter after the anniversary. Anyway, I love this game even with the amount of bad decisions plaguing it, no amount of buffs to your raider will save you from the cave of beatings so don't cry about it if you get tricked into going into one, etc.

But I can tell you why this is the case
There are multiple reasons why we don't have more players
1: the game charged you money for access and then tried to gacha system you
Dragon ball fans and gaming fans in general are sick of micro transactions in games
2: most dragon ball fans have almost no braincells
Its the same reason why usually arcs with the least amount of fighting are called shit and boring
Dragon ball fans can't stand to go 2 seconds without punching something so a game where you cant just go fuckin punch all your problems immediately is too complex for them *sorry if this seems hostile but most dragon ball fans piss me off as a fan of dragon ball*
3: the survivor skins and raiders being locked behind the paywall
The survivor skins outside the cacs are part of the turn on to this game
I wanna play as chichi and yajirobe hell yeah
But the game devs said nope you gotta pay the price of a raider
Now you can earn the tp medals necessary per season but you can only pick one
So do you pick the raider who has the most content
Or do you miss out and go for the survivor skin which is just changed animations and appearances and a new skill
Its even worse considering some skins are recostumes and don't have anything new but are almost the same price and ontop of that some skins get locked behind the dragon tier which can be a bitch to unlock and is limited time meaning if you wanted to play as baba but got the game after the season well good luck shit face cause now ya don't get too
4: locking most of the skills behind a paywall
While I agree with Ironcane (breakers TH-camr) on most things he made a argument that base skills are all ya need
And yeah it's not impossible if you get good with them but the problem is if you want versatility in your skill set you gotta hope to God you get lucky with the summoning system *which can be a nightmare*
Or you gotta buy the survivor skins instead of the raider to get said characters passive and active skills
Locking skills behind paywalls and gambling is not ok and is another reason why the game is failing
It pisses me off too, im not saying you can't do the summoning system but maybe make it to where you can also buy the skills with
"Zeni" not tp medals, but zeni or new skills can be behind the gacha system and eventually after the season ends be added to the zeni shop that could raise the stakes in a fun and not frustrating way so you don't risk losing the ability to get the skills or transpheres
5: balance the damn game
I'm not talking about the raiders are op people who also have zero braincells because they can't learn to not fight the fuckin raider alone because they are dragon ball fans and fighting is all they can do and strategy is not a concept in their mind
I'm talking about the survivors many of which have sets of skills that are completely unbalanced and unfair for the raider
Particularly a certain skill combo called fuckin energy field + IT where they basically get a free getaway
Instead of adding a specific raider *which you have to pay for with TP* to deal with it
How about instead you add a cool down between the 2 skills or the ability to break the energy field early after enough damage so that the survivors don't get a get outta jail free card
Also on top of this the survivors can too easily defeat the raider by ganging up maybe add more invincibility frames for the fuckin raiders when in clashes so they arnt sitting targets
6: this one is a theory but I am pretty sure they have little funding for this game which would explain all the setbacks and delays
Think about it Bandai is almost as bad as rockstar when it comes to milking the product
Instead of making XenoVerse 3 they have milked XenoVerse 2 for countless years
With so many dlcs *which are overpriced* to the point where it you wanted all of em youd spend more than the base game many times over when the base game has way more content then the dlcs
Not to mention their tp system which is also a sluggish grindfest designed to try and get you to pay for them instead
XenoVerse 2 is Bandais GTA 5
And this won't change unless a game surpasses it
FighterZ has far less dlcs in comparison probably because with XenoVerse they can just copy and paste most of the skills and moveset and just add a few new ones and charge full dlc price
They don't wanna give breakers more funding because it's not XenoVerse and alot of these models *ones that aren't in XenoVerse* are having to be made by scratch and bandai is too greedy to wanna spend any damn money on new things
Budokai Tenkaichi sparking Zero will guaranteed be second little to XenoVerse still because they don't have to put as much effort into XenoVerse
6: the fanbase is for the most part nice
But you've got a big problem with playing raider and running into a premade *a group of players who arnt randomly selected* who also have a unfair advantage *I'll get to it* and not only dominate you with unfair combinations that are almost uncombatable but will call you trash and garbage in your messages after winning
7: the survivors do not have enough communication options
Voice chat would be nice but at the very least give us more fuckin symbols and stuff to use there isn't enough communication and stickers are fuckin horrible communication options
Premades have an unfair advantage because they're all often on discord or something and can talk each other through the whole thing unlike normal lobbies
8: *bonus round* i like super broly but why in the fuck would you pick him over Z broly especially if your gonna charge for voice lines
