Most people wont get on point on 1 of his most important traits, do not create a blame culture, and your employee would unleash his inner beast for you.
If he walks the talk in terms of accountability, he should resign given DBS unacceptable outages. Instead, he put on a show here. It really says a lot about him as a leader.
Seeing the systems they r using in d bank for their operations, i cud understand why no work life balance. So manual!!! Many imptovement can be done.

I am a big believer in the fact that work-life balance is all baloney. It is not because i want people to work all the time, it's not about that. I'am very eclectic, and have a lot of time for things i do. It's just tha i beliave that work is a part of life.

I advocate for a management style that the manager can understand the details and also give subordinates autonomy, so that when a crisis arises, he can quickly solve the problem with the team.
this new citizen outsourced so many jobs to India, most of the bankers in DBS is from india. Yet we celebrate him so much. He took over DBS AFTER the 2008 crisis, of course DBS has nowhere to go but up.

If he really takes ownership and accountability, given so many DBS outages and MAS alr said those r unacceptable and those incidents did not happen to ocbc or uob, he should resign.
