A good parent will also prevent their child from anything against their moral values even if as far as disowning the child. Moral values are subjective form by society. Whether it is right or wrong is another topic but you must DEFEND your beliefs and moral values. You cant say what the parents did was wrong because they are defending their values.
@@imanzulkarnaian8528that’s true , disowning is a form of self blame. You blame yourself for the weird upbringing of your child and you can’t face them anymore.
Kumar is a great example of an exemplar human being despite what society does to him. We should always have compassion in our hearts. Always think lovingly.

Not really. He did wanted to transition but then he stopped halfway. (I rmb there's a period where she had boobs). I think in the end it was just him exploring his identity and now he's comfortable the way he is? He's more like fluid/non binary?

this was so sweet, and I'm very glad that singapore has gotten to the point where it's open enough that beautiful, nontraditional parents like kumar feel safe enough to share their stories.

I’ve watched this 3 or 4 times by now. Just can’t get enough of it!! This is humanity.. your son doesn’t have to your own bloodline yet your mummy could also be your daddy. It challenges boundaries & stereotypes in so many ways. And the beauty of it? Kumar doesn’t overshare in this manic world of social media. So once in awhile when he does, it really hits us hard ❤

Kumar has what it takes to be a great parent, warm-hearted, kind and generous.
I have much greater respect for Kumar now. Always admired him for being so bold but this really gave me a new perspective of him. A true example of what an amazing human being is capable of.

OMG this was so moving! I never knew our sharp-tongued national treasure Kumar had this side. But that flat is filled with so much love you can _feel_ it coming through the screen, and I hope Kumar and Sathin remember every day how precious it is to have the family that they do (which includes those cute doggies too💖).

It’s nice to see a different side of Kumar…(I’ve been following his performance of humorous jokes online) as little did we know him behind all those performances who he truly is…Good sharing and wish to know more of how is his beautiful soul is, apart from bringing so many joys and laughters to everyone who experienced his staged performance.😊

Its so touching how kumar took up raising a child without hesitation. Most people would have kicked the boy out or neglected him if he wanted to stay.
this touch my heart so deeply that i didn’t know i had it in me. my late mom was both my mother and father and even as a single mom she gave her everything to all her 4 daughters. as the youngest, i was more towards the rude/defiance child and yes we had ups and downs but at the end of the day i knew she just wanted me to grow up to be a better person than she was. the last bit really resonated with me. i didn’t got to tell her that im sorry and it’s one of my biggest regret too . I’m still young , only 17 learning about the world so i hope that one day when im ready to be an adult, i’ll be someone who my late mother can be proud of even if she’s not by my side. thank you for this video 🤍

I know he has mentioned somewhere that he has taken in 'someone' but didn't know who it is. He has mentioned that he does help people around despite whatever people reaction towards Kumar.
Sometimes ill treatment from family make us realised that we can be a better person. Hearing kumar stories,a lot of us can understand & i agree with Kumar. No point holding on to the anger. Just treat them like any human being. Our parents grow older. They can't control of everything.
Lastly,thank you Kumar for your stories & last but not least,keep on entertaining us.
