this CEO explained it really well. it is alway a lot harder to explain to someone the concept unless you know it clearly. DEFI, Metaverse, Play2earn, move2earn, even MEME coin have huge potential. it is all about hype and sentiment to identify high potential projects.

Listen through all his answers. End up being unconvincing at best & for some questions, he's being diplomatic to his paymasters.
The world is fragmenting into a few camps. We will be having 2-3 trade settlement & global currency mechanism. The world may be divided between the Western economies & an enlarged version of the BRICS economy. It won't be a seamless singular system like what Cryptocurrencies & blockchain technologies are proposing. To understand this one must understand macro economic theory as well as finance - money, trade & investments.
Money is the lubricant - it must be fungible ie. they must have convertibility, acceptability & exchangibility. Ask yourself how Cryptocurrencies are going to fulfill these aspects to replace traditional currencies issued by Central Banks.
Bear in mind the Russian sanctions, the SWIFT ban & the confiscation of Russian oligarchs personal wealth coincided with the subsequent rapid decline in cryptocurrency values which then lead to defaults & collapse in the Cryptosphere.
Not saying that there is a definitive cause-&-effect relationship but whole thing would leave any hardcore investor feeing somewhat unconvinced. One thing to believe in state-sponsored opinion leaders (they have the means) & to follow self-interest cryptocurrency "gurus"; another thing is believing in your own innate intuition, holding on to your own money & not be conned out of it. At the end, one must constantly self educate, experiment but not jump into new schemes. Otherwise, a fool & his money will soon be parted.

Yep DBS is definitely the best local bank. My previous company & current company switched to DBS -other local banks have tedious processes and not tech focused.

The only bank CEO who understands crypto, based on what he said in this interview, a far cry from the big American bank CEOs, who are still struggling to even understand Bitcoin.

"Rough and Tumble" Well said, Piyushji.
What that means is experientially learnt life and leadership skills. National service is one experience that puts young mostly male singaporean adults thru 'some' degree of rough and tumble, that i believe folks like Piyushji and this writer and billions of other fellow humans have experienced.
One idea: During the academic years students may be required to spend a *mandatory* period of time in a 3rd world country and attempt to get projects designed and completed 'insitu'.
Whether or not there is evidence to show that such exposure is what will get Singapore the next gen of true well-balanced leaders could be the subject of a PhD thesis for any interested candidate. And unlike some studies, this would have directly applicable value. The late great Lee Kuan Yew is a marquee example of that school of leadership. I've heard Chan Chun Sing encourage Singaporeans to take up job overseas, like he did and how it molded his leadership.

He is already citizen and you are calling him foreigner. If you have guts then inform any company to recruit only true blue citizen or you can also ask ur government to implement this rule. Don't be a cry baby that is the main reason Singaporean are losing to CECA in getting top jobs because of this attitude. If you have this racist mindset you will never succeed always jealous of others success.

Nobody is a crybaby. You're being very offensive to S'poreans. From your handle, you're an CECA Indian. If I put the CECA shoe on the other foot, would you talk the same? Be grateful that S'pore & their people are civilised. During the India-Pakistan Partition period, many people got massacred for their religion & for being in the wrong place. For a person coming from an uncivilized place, you have quite a f**l mouth!
Be respectful for the forgiving local culture & it's civilized people. Don't be an assh**e & push your luck too far!
