I also take my motorcycle indoors, in the dining room, to change the oil

Just to add some information regarding the oil to be used: Basically, the "energy conserving" label can't be found on current oil products, since this specification is no longer in use, nor are oils tested, so you will hardly find oil which says "energy conserving". If you look closely, the oil you used already has the higher API specification (SN, SM, SL, SJ), although your manual says you shouldn't use SH or higher. But it doesn't really matter. What is important in terms of oil specs is a specification that was brand new as the bike came to the market: JASO. It validates the friction properties of the oil. If you buy e.g. JASO MA2, the highest class, you'll never have a problem with a slipping wet clutch system, regardles of API type.

After seeing that your dipstick read halfway by adding 1600ml...how much oil did you add thereafter and where did it lie/should lie on the dipstick?

You should not let the level go over the hole in your dipstick! After a good ride with the oil hot the level will be higher so you can ride the bike after putting 1600ml(its in the safe zone) after five minutes check and top the level!
