I have to say I dont even camp but I watch your videos because they some how make me feel at peace and i get to see places that i would never see in my lifetime. The production of this video alone is off the chart. The Drone footage was spectacular, the whole event looked like some quest for the ring! I do watch other camping vids but these are top tier, honestly well done mate.
Just beautiful, I'm so envious that you are fit enough to go to these beautiful places in Britain, I'm to old and not fit and sad I didn't do this when I was younger .P love to watch you journeys ,I feel I'm visiting these places with you.
When I came back to Scotland for a visit, 4 brothers (me and 3 others) all done this together and we were in our 50s, puffed out is an understatement! Thanks for the memories.
Great to see you in Scotland Al, Yorkshire is awesome, Scotlands mountains are next level, and just so you know, the reason it's cloudy is so you visit again, my favourite youtuber in my favourite place in the world, great editing, great music, who could ask for more!
It is as close to being there , not being there. I am disabled and watch a lot of these type films and yours are my favourite and Blue is icing on the cake. All the way from Nova Scotia Canada.
The drone footage is something out of this world! Absolutely amazing 🤩 ..I have been to the Cobbler several year's ago now, fantastic place, the walk up through the forest is a little monotonous but still once out of the forest the views really open up. Thanks for taking us along with you & I have to say Blue has the most wonderful life joining you on all your adventures.
I`ve been really enjoying your epic adventures after recently finding your channel, though apologies, I've been watching Wildbeare`s adventures on the lower slopes to get my outdoor fix, now you, Blue and your dad could be the inspiration I need to get back into this lifestyle after losing my way at the age of 56, I shall definitely be getting my gear out of storage and this will be the year I rejuvenate. I thank you.
In my 50s, too, and have started walking the hills again, and I love it. The TH-cam channel, 'Scotland's Mountains' was the kick up the arse that was needed, and watching Bushman and Blue is epic viewing at night when my walking is done. Thanks
My God Al, utmost respect. Felt queasy watching you clamber to the top of the Cobbler. Riveting viewing. And what a dog blue is; following your instructions brilliantly. Wow, just wow. Cheers . All the best.
I felt vertigo pulling at my feet. Queasy might be the right word. And my utmost respect and thanks to Al too for taking us with him und showing us this beautiful landscape - "just stunning".
absolutely brilliant mate! I felt all the emotions that come with these kind of camps, sitting here drinking a beer watching your channel, ye canny beat it! it definitely motivates me to plan the next trip. cheers 🍻
Absolutely my favorite video you’ve ever done. I even yelled at the screen when you were summiting the needle…”FOR GOODNESS SAKE, PUT THE CAMERA DOWN…DON’T FALL…” as I held my breath. 😂 Your commentary is so relaxing - I really feel like I’m hiking with you, it’s wonderful. And it’s a good thing I’m on another continent because sweet, adorable Blue has made me consider taking up dog-napping. I love him so…and you, too, of course. 😊 Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure. I am inspired. P.S. You have a new subscriber in the USA. Cheers.
Absolutely fantastic video. I used to do hills back in the 80s but never did the cobbler. You just took me there and respect for putting yourself in danger for our entertainment 👍. I remember fondly those days when I had hair and teeth. Keep doing what you do. All the best and kind regards Jamie from Scotland ❤
My favourite mountain. Been there dozens of times over the last 30 odd years in all conditions. I'm 70 next month but this video has prompted me to celebrate up there. Been through the needle twice but won't be doing it again. Lol.
Thankyou so much from someone who will never be able to do that so it was great to be able to join you on your trip up the Cobbler ... it was magnificent🙏
Man I’ve returned to this video a couple of times. So great. Was even inspired to travel in from Denmark to do the hike. Didn’t have nearly as great weather, but awesome trip. Thanks for showing us these places!
This is probably one of the most imaginative and well put together Scottish mountain filming that I have come across. Absolutely brilliant timing and edits, and the mutt, icing on the cake. If your gonna do drone, then this is how it's done folks. .Superb mate.
Brilliant video Al , without doubt the best one I've seen by anyone including my fellow Scots of the Cobbler being done with such apparent ease especially in the conditions underfoot . Blue , well he's just the best companion to be doing these trips with . PS i know I'm commenting on an older video , it just appeared so decided to watch it , so glad i did now ATB Wullie 🏴🇬🇧
I know this is an old video Al, but it really resonates with me this. It's clear how much it deeply connected with you. Bless ya. The missus and I were up Ben Lomond in September and I have to say that I was absolutely blown away by it. It's an incredible place. Great video with some stunning visuals Al. All the best. Neil.
That was absolutely fantastic, what a mountain, and what a film! My stomach was in my mouth a couple of times with the exposure😬, but really enjoyed it nonetheless. Best of wishes to you and BLUE 👍
Wow absolutely awesome videos, I'm 72years and missed my chances years ago to do some of this, but thank you for sharing your climbs with us, I do confess that my heart is in my mouth sometimes at some of the views you present us with. I've been binge watching your vids mate and your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm a photographer based in the Lakes and camping out is something that I don't do enough of. But you have really inspired me to get out and do more of it. I've also been looking a lot at your gear and there are items I didn't have that will now definitely be getting, so thanks for that. Gotta love Blue as well, what a gorgeous well trained dog he is. I've got a 2 year old cocker spaniel and I'm looking forward to bringing him out camping with me. Keep up with the great vids mate!
Amazing video, tons of effort put in and soul too. Great to see that you get it. Ben Arthur is on the doorstep of folk in central Scotland and sometimes we take things for granted. We are blessed to have these mountains. Keep up the good work and love the dog , amazing creature, god bless 👍👍👍👍
Just watched this video. And yes you’re right. We live 20 minutes from coniston and instead of sitting on the sofa eating Easter eggs we ventured out and had a wonderful day out by the water and make lots of plans for summer. Sometimes we just need that nudge. 🙂
One of your best trips and one of your best videos. Loved the black and white footage. Your channel gets better and better. Thanks for taking us with you.
I've learnt all about the changeable weather in Scotland after spending 10 days on Arran. Woke up to unforecasted snow whilst next to a loch high up. There's something magical about Scotland this time of year.
He definitely is! He will chase anything that moves really. He’s obsessed with the drone though. Even when I take the backpack off he gets excited thinking I’m getting it out😂😂😂
Absolutely epic. Loved every minute. Thank you for threading the needle multiple times so I don't have to. Thankfully! Must mention Blue. An amazing, adorable companion.
Well at least I showed the needle well enough for people to make a better decision whether to attempt it or not. Not one for the faint hearted. Thanks Martin👍👍👍
Wow bushman and blue, that was amazing watch, threading the needle looked very tricky but amazing, the drone footage was unreal best yet 👍,and when you told blue go left and he did just brilliant, you both take care 👍👍
New subscriber here, just discovered the channel. We used to do this and the usual suspects… Aonach Egach, Crib Goch, Tryphan etc. mountain training in the military in the days before the internet. Any enjoyment was tempered by the honking 70lb bergans and rubbish issued boots but I remember this being a treat. Thank you so much for this, I never thought I’d see it again.
Ah, livin on the edge: You take up less sapce that way , Al. Used to do the same when I was your age. But now, you do a great job of it for all of us Al. Cheers form B.C. .(P.S. I was born in 1958)
The Cobbler's a fantastic walk... in any weather. Great filming and editing... a brilliant watch. Your passion and enthusiasm shines thru... superb... the drone shots were awe inspiring... magic !
I'm new to your channel and wow amazing content buddy. Absolutely adore your dog Blue. Absolute star of the show and fully understands lefts and rights. Amazing work. Stay safe and take care, Dave.
Fantastic this AL, thoroughly enjoyed this, some awesome scrambling, views were amazing and that pitch wow 🤯. Blue was class as always, such a great dog. Proper loved this video mate, keep em coming 👌
One of my favourite mountains Al, looking forward to seeing how you get on. 😁 👍🏻 Fine night out on a Scottish classic mate, The Cobbler is steeped in mountaineering history. The working class would travel from Glasgow and sleep under that boulder earlier in your video. Ready for climbing first thing in the morning. Good to see the Shadow Hoodie, love mine. 😁
Yes the bottom half is boring through the woods but once on the steeper scramble parts it’s of the best places to walk. I loved it. I’ll knock you up next time I’m up that way👍
Very true nothing beats being out in the country side .. the solitude the scenery and the feeling of accomplishment… keep the vlogs coming they are the best and most honest
Once again a great video; inspirational. I'm sixty and being hiking on and off since early mid seventies. I live near Peak District so this year gonna test me new kit out in that area summer and winter and Scotland winter the year next. Just to let you know you and videos like this have encouraged me to plan this! Be safe!
Stunning black and white drone footage! You are so incredible lucky to be able to do this. The landscape is just beautiful. Your videos are definitely above the rest, for me anyways. I felt a sharp pang of regret when you had to pack it up and leave. I could have stayed up there forever.
I love your inspirational positive chats. Although I am old now and have limited mobility I still try to move and plan a snowshoe this morning in Northern Ontario.
I really love how you enjoy everything. You are a very positive person. I like that about you. Please be careful. I really don’t like heights. When I moved to my 11 floor apartment and looked out the window, I got a rush. But I will admit, I can see all if town. We nave beautiful mountains around us. I really like it here for that reason. I give you credit for going up that high. Beautiful scenery indeed.I can’t believe you made it to the top of that big boulder. I can’t look down. Even just with you. Please don’t take to many chances. I pray that your safe and protected. . 😮 oh wow. I’ll finish this tomorrow. Good night.be safe.
Yes but all our videos are preaching to the ones that already leave no trace. Some real dumb pratts out there. Cheers though mate. I’m hoping to watch the moped vid soon😬👍
Epic looking mountain when you come out of the forest, like it doesn't belong. My arse was clapping when you were threading that needle, even though I just saw you do it already haha. Great place, spot on camp too, perfect morning rise and awesome drone footage, truly epic! Your face said it all, you're usually a happy chappy anyway but you did look a little extra taken aback. Top job all round mate, looking forward to the Hidden Valley and Ben Nevis videos🏞👍
Thank you mate. I just thrive on those moments where everything else just falls away and you’re sat in that special place that is all yours. Truly epic. 👊
Really enjoyed this video. Some great photography and drone footage. I’ve watched several different videos from other folks, you definitely do it the best. I love your commentary and storytelling and Blue is such a delight to watch. Keep up the good work and I see your subscriptions keep increasing daily good for you. Thanks👍👌🙏🏻
Many years ago I worked in a hotel just in the valley in Arrochar. I went up the cobbler between my slit shift, I slept so well that that night I slept through the fire alarm! Lucky it was a false alarm 😂
This was just stunning ❤ I'm in Western Australia, so we get to watch the sunset over the ocean here. We watch the sun slowly sink into the huge expanse of the ocean, with all the colours you can imagine reflecting off the water as well as in the sky. It's spectacularly beautiful, and it really does remind you what a privilege it is to be alive. Admittedly, I don't have to climb there and back 😂 and this video had me screaming on the inside once or twice 😂but what an awesome trip ❤ Thank you so much for sharing 👍
What a great trip that looks Al. No way could I have climbed to the top of the Cobbler, I felt a bit queasy watching you do it!🙈 Brilliant as always 👌 👏 👍 #no1youtuber

Blue looked at that last bit of climb like, "Nope. Not happening. I'll wait for you here".
He’s not too daft😂

Just to let you know you and videos like this have encouraged me to plan this! Be safe!
Well that’s exactly what I hope to do! Help people get out and adventure 👍👍👍 thanks mate.
What an amazing dog.
Stunning black and white drone footage! You are so incredible lucky to be able to do this. The landscape is just beautiful. Your videos are definitely above the rest, for me anyways. I felt a sharp pang of regret when you had to pack it up and leave. I could have stayed up there forever.
Thanks Linda. I always feel lucky to be alive even mor so when I get to embrace nature😬
I love your inspirational positive chats. Although I am old now and have limited mobility I still try to move and plan a snowshoe this morning in Northern Ontario.
Thanks Carol. Definitely keep doing what you can😬
Sunday night viewing boxed off Al. Fantastic, as always.
Scenery, passion, wisdom and tents. Class!
Stay safe and well mate.
Adge.
Cheers Adge much appreciated coming from a fellow camper that has camped a lot. 👊👊👊
Thank you and I’m glad you appreciate my positivity. It is definitely my best attribute 😊. The apartment sounds like you’ll have a good view from😉
Wonderful as ever. Thanks Al and Blue. Please keep it up
They took boulders off Narnain to make the path up the Cobbler.( Narnain seems to crumble much more than than Ime or Arthur. )
What an amazing dog blue is! So intelligent, you've done a brilliant job training him!
Yes he’s not bad😉. Cheers.
I bloody love Scotland, proper rugged beauty. Always numpties where ever you go tho. Stunning in the morning perfect way to wake up. Blue is a cracker
Yes but all our videos are preaching to the ones that already leave no trace. Some real dumb pratts out there. Cheers though mate. I’m hoping to watch the moped vid soon😬👍
Lovely dog, or pack mule i should say.
A proper choice of music!
Blue is the best wee companion ever. Listens so well. The "left" command is amazing! Fab share overall :)
Yes left and right really do help out there when climbing. Thanks👍
Thanks👍👌🙏🏻
Thanks Tom much appreciated 👊. I definitely hope to continue filming my adventures and look forward to more winter camping👌
Many years ago I worked in a hotel just in the valley in Arrochar. I went up the cobbler between my slit shift, I slept so well that that night I slept through the fire alarm! Lucky it was a false alarm 😂
😂😂😂
Fabulous dronework.
Thanks mate👍👍👍. It’s a short life so definitely worth getting some adventures packed in😉
Your black and white shots there remind me of the pictures in my old WA Poucher book of the Lakes.
What a great trip that looks Al. No way could I have climbed to the top of the Cobbler, I felt a bit queasy watching you do it!🙈 Brilliant as always 👌 👏 👍 #no1youtuber
😂still keeping that number 1 spot😂😂😂. Thanks mate much appreciated 👊
