Novaria is a monster late game. When u get all of ur items and can aim ur 2nd skill including flameshot to finish the enemies is rlly satisfying. She’s fun to play
I think novaria is insanely good because of her passive and just the late game intel she can give to teammates, however I think if she’s facing against something like saber or someone who can keep up with her then she’s in trouble.
Novaria and gord are my main mages I like novaria mainly for her movement but gords stun and blast of a cannon is really useful at all stages I feel like novaria does best when the enemy isn’t paying attention to you but if you get focused it can be hard to operate especially with really mobile junglers

Lost many games with her bc of the unbalanced teams The hero in essence is good but a lot of people forget to mention the team composition and how the rest play IS A BIG FACTOR IN LOSING OR WINNING A GAME even in Beto's team Bruno had ranking on his city and the tanks were good engagers too If you dont have a team like this( which in solo is hard) its hard no matter the hero chosen

personally i dont think Novaria is a "good" mage as in one that can single handlely carry a team fight like cyclops. She is a good reap hero and poke to lower enemy hp or finish stragglers after a fight. Because of this she's good if your team is good but if your team gets rolled over then she feels useless especially if enemy has a healer.
Novaria is a pretty solid mage. Especially with that juicy free maphack. NGL Franco/Selena/any hero with a good not lock on set skill x Novaria ult can be terrifying Imagine u manage to get out of the way of that pesky Selena arrow then the ult comes a split second before that dodge & boom, stunned for 3 seconds I know bc am a Selena main😉

I am actually surprised that nobody mentioned the stacks on her second skills. Basically, when collecting the ball of her second skill, the further she is from the ball the more time it takes to reach her and she has more stacks. More stacks=More damage. I have seen so many pro players use flicker with her to collect as much as 12 stacks.

If I'm playing ranked solo, I prefer to let others pick first, but I've returned after a couple years no playing. It'd be nice to have more insight on picks/bans phase.

Using novaria is so fun but even though i'm novaria main i don't really want to use her most of the time (even if she's free) because of team + people are going to pick assassin like harley/hayabusa or smth also you might wanna try to steal the enemy buff sometimes (first minion wave) and after you got skill 2 access you can try shoot he blue buff in between when the lithowanderer spawns in between 11-13 seconds it really work sometimes haha
I unlock the 2nd skill first just for that. It's pretty easy to steal the buff since if you didn't get it, you can see the buff hp and finish it with flameshot

Novaria till this day remains as one of the best and most annoying mages in the current meta, she never had any nerfs yet but got an indirect buff with wilderness blessing. Before, only Yve can go side-to-side against her bc she is easy to use and her ungodly slows was just too much, nowadays, Yves waveclear ability and slows are much weaker thus giving Novaria a lead, but both of them are hit a bit hard with Support heroes with FOTO getting so popular since they can give them almost constant heals and shields. With Yve's 2 recent nerfs in place, other mages like Valentina, Xavier, Lunox, Pharsa, Joy, Faramis and especially Valir are now contesting in Yve's place to compete against Novaria
Her ult utility is excellent, and she's at her best in the late (conservative play by opening maps and well planned initiation.), and early (skill 2 + flameshot steal enemy jungle's buff lmao)
If she was distributed your gameplay and in late game she was the one who Shaffer because she was running way from heroes that's why many people target her in high rank
