Here’s a tip for increasing 2nd skill damage for Novaria. Always call in the sphere away from where you’re going. The sphere’s damage scales with how much distance the orb traveled. This includes how much it travels before you get the orb and then when you shoot the sphere. The max distance damage is 10 stacks and before shooting the orb you should be able to get 5 stacks by utilizing the speed up through walls. Edit: first of all I found this out on my own before watching Elgin but even then there’s nothing wrong with sharing tips as some people don’t watch Elgin. Second is I personally recommend impure rage over mystery shop talent due to impure rage adding hp% damage and mana regen so you slow your mana usage and do more damage on every shot.
Seen lots of people in my matches play Novaria so badly so I mained her out of spite. She’s amazing for securing low hp heroes and ruining any assassin/mage’s day for a tasty gank, but if you aren’t used to roaming to the other lanes to support your allies (like what you should be doing with all mage heroes…) and if you are not used to the amount of prediction she requires then she really isn’t that useful because you already aren’t using her full potential. (But then again, you do have her ultimate to sorta fix the prediction issue so that checks out.)
While using her I find it ironically funny that a cluster of enemies tightly close together, I always find myself shooting towards the small gap in between their formation, barely missing any of them and would instead clear a wave of minions instead, lol.
The thing about her skill, you don't actually need to hit every time.. Just the enemy seeing you could hit by that far and that rapidly will pressure them.
@@Kuro00neko I use her like that. She's good at zoning enemy heroes from afar. Getting the enemy to go home to base is already a big help to the team. Why she is not a support hero is beyond me.

BETOSKY AND EVERYONE ELSE, u guys should use her second skill opposed to where ur going, it needs to travel as much as possible and the distance between u and your own ball counts too(also u can even run away from it which should maximize the stacks if the enemied r also pretty far

Super strong High ground but cant do anything against aggressive assasins and Tanks like Lance, Haya, ling,fanny, kufra, atlas,Baxia etc. Better pick last to see enemy squad compositions.

I really like her since I don’t need to go near team fights and once my team finished all of the enemy’s turrent, I just kept poking the enemy and no one goes out of their base!
I played her as a roamer and it's very fun. She so fast to provide support for teammate. I already love her from the start. Idk which hero can counter her but so far she's unstoppable.
I think she's better as dire hit roamer too. She's really fun but is susceptible to mobile assassins. But then again, if the player has map awareness, it'll be pretty hard to catch her off guard.

Best tip is to watch Elgin's new video about Novaria's damage increase. If you're lazy to watch it here is the summary: Her second skill deals more damage the further you are from your opponent, right? However, in order to maximize that damage, you must use your skill while traveling AWAY from the ORB. This will result in "stacks". Her stacking will increase her damage. You will acquire roughly 3-4 stacks if you do this, 2nd skill opposite way from where you are running. However, you can enhance it by passing through WALLS, which grants you A LOT of movement SPEED bonus. This now provides you 6-7 stacks. The maximum number of stacks you can obtain is ten. Turrets and DESTROYED TURRETS are considered walls, therefore you can use them to acquire movement speed and stacks.

@@queennoelle9758An even shorter summary: Travel away from your 2nd skill 1st phase, take advantage of walls and turrets- even destroyed ones work. Travel away from your 2nd skill and use it at a distance to obtain higher stacks hence higher damage.
As a selena main, this hero was made for us. I think selena players will have a huge adventage with using the 2nd skill. Everyone I saw who played this hero (yes also you Beto) shoots at where the target is. You must should where the target is going or you think he/she will dodge to. Good luck peepz
Tip : There is a buff in the second skill where the longer you don't pick it up, the more damage, the maxiamum buff is 250% more and if you use the distance buff it can take huge chunk of health.
I decided to main this hero. Not the strongest mage, but her range really puts a lot of pressure on the enemy. My wr stands at 84% in 29 matches. I'd never been a top global before, so this is quite nice.

I know when they first revealed her as a damage mage and everybody just played her as such, my first thought was max cdr and play with some support item if I'm not the only mage on the team and it worked out wonderfully nearly 2 or 3 games with her on classic that were almost perfect games. I kinda want to see a team with long range ults like Xavier and moskov, possibly a yi sun and alduos to go in first and clean up the team while the others just continue to farm in lane turrets at this point are basically useless to hide under at that point xD not to mention having a franco, kaja, or ruby with all their annoying pulls and stuns they'd be able to force a team fight from under a turret and isolate 2 or 3 people at a time. There's a lot of uses for a novaria support she's not map wide vision like alduos or yi sun, but she can very easily create one of the easiest team wipes just by using her abilities to get the slows and hit box widening off

Been playing Novaria since release (mythic glory), she's super useful in teamplay for opening bushes & revealing enemy location with both skill2/3 and with an super extended map view during initial cast of skill2. On top of that, she's capable of doing big damage to backline, KS buffs/turtle/lord aka beatrix sniper ulti style. Equip flameshot spell for a double shots skill2+FS once enemy exposed. Only nemesis are against diving heroes like ling, hanzo, hilda etc
The only problem I personally have is the aiming/timing of her 2nd skill since I'm not one of the fasthand player so its kinda hard for me but other than that I think she is pretty good.
Novaria is a bit like cecilion in terms of team play though cecilion is more of a damage dealer while novaria is more of a support with her ult Both have an option for chase (Novaria skill 2 and Cecilion ult) Both have relatively high damage scaling (Both can hit over 1k hp with one attack) and both can do really well in teamfights cecilion offering cc and burst damage and novaria offering sight and high range damage And best of all Both can burn through mana after a teamfight
A decent tip: do not approach her 2nd skill to maximize the damage, you need to cast it at your back or you need to pass through walls, when she enters the wall she gains movement speed and apart from that it helps her gain more stocks on her passive and it deals tons of damage. Her passive stocks only reach up to 10 stocks
Beto u can increase the damage of her second skill if u walk away from the first phase of it, u can use this trick while u rotate to other lanes and deal huge damage in a single hit. Just lil tip for the hero u fall in love :3 by the way great video as always beto!
WRONG It's both If you do it properly and distance yourself you get 5 stacks. If you do it properly and go through a wall you get 6 stacks. If you shoot it from a distance the stacks increases based on the distance. So basically "go through a wall distance yourself to gain 6 stacks then shoot the enemy from a distance and you would have done the maximum damage of 10 stacks

The thing about this hero is that the better the player the better the hero. This hero isn't that significant in low mythic and lower ranks. But higher mythic and competitive matches where positioning is crucial is where this hero shines
She's also not too hard too play, she's fun and not ban-worthy. Really easy to kill if you can get close to her. Being able to experiment with builds was pretty fun.
Here's a fact about Novaria's ultimate if you didn't know this yet. We know it's a hitbox extender which benefits heroes like franco alot but it also works with the turret. As long as the extended hitbox is within turret range, then the turret will start attacking.
The best way to understand a character more is to watch someone who have clear explanation and examples, great video! Day 11 of requesting Betosky to make a video on Cecilion.
as a Selena Xavier Carmilla main, I absolutly love her. also 1 tip, (never mind top command has it all, dont read this is if you read top command alreddy) her second skill will also get stacks upon summoning, so its recommanded to spawn it from the oposite directiom you going, then you'll always start with at minimum 4stacks alreddy. You can also use towers or walls to go thruh well summoning, so it goes even higher because of the movement speed...
When Novaria's released, I thought she's weak and lack sth. After watching your play, I realized that I need a lot more time to play her in higher rank. Cause I'm sucked at aiming😕. Happy that you like her. Thank you god Beto and have a beautiful day🎐

I still feel like novaria needs a buff: like they could, when novaria uses skills 1 and 2, all the skills can be buffs for each other, or combo skills; For example, when novaria uses her 1st skill, the 2nd skills' second phase, it can push the 1st skill to the 2nd phase limit; Another example is if, the 2nd skill is used first, the 1st skill can buff the 2nd skill, and when the 2nd skills' 2nd phase fires, the 1st skill will make stars fall along the line, dealing damage, until it reaches the target, and then along the line, the 1st skills second phase deals damage along the entirety of the line... 😞
A good to tip for u bro to deal more dmg .. the 1st phase of her 2nd skill use it in the opposite direction u r moving to and keep going away from it as much as u can so u can get more STACKS

Betosky, you should aim the first phase of Novaria's 2nd skill to the opposite direction of where you're going, you'll gain stacks while the sphere from the 1st skill comes to you, the longer it takes the sphere come to you, the more stacks you'll get, the stacks helps increase your 2nd skill's damage, also you should try going to terrains like a wall or tower to gain movement speed, the faster you are, the longer the sphere will come to you, the more stacks you'll get. Max stacks is 10 btw but it is imposibble to reach 10 without windtalker and sprint.
Something he does not do or explain on the first phase of the 2nd skill the highest distance you travel from the orb the highest the damage will be (can be up to 8 stack). Each stacks increase damage by 15%
Hello Betosky, I like her and I always put The ice want item, to slow enemy like that my teammates even bad players ones can catch the enemies. And some times the fire item too to stake up the slow effect.🤭🤭🤭 Great video by the way! 👍
If you want to deal more damage you should aim your 2nd skill at your back while going to the enemy. Become the skill will start(after casting 1st phase) as you cast it towards you. While moving you should go away from it to get the most effective damage you can deal. You can see the stacks building up while you move away fron the 1st phase of your 2nd skill. The maximun stacks of the 2nd skill is 10 stacks
Tip: always aim ir 1st phase of 2nd skill the opposite way of where u want to go becuz u will deal more dmg the longer it takes for the sphere to reach u. But if they r running away, take the sphere immediately.
Beto when using her 2nd skill you want to cast opposite to where you're moving cause the longer the distance traveled, the more stacks you get and also pass through obstacles while casting her 2nd skill. More stacks for you. Upto 10 stacks max. And the more stacks you have the more powerful her skill is..

She can provide vision with ult and support damage from afar.
Dire Hit also boost her damage even further.

I really like her since I don’t need to go near team fights and once my team finished all of the enemy’s turrent, I just kept poking the enemy and no one goes out of their base!
I played her as a roamer and it's very fun. She so fast to provide support for teammate. I already love her from the start. Idk which hero can counter her but so far she's unstoppable.
I think she's better as dire hit roamer too. She's really fun but is susceptible to mobile assassins. But then again, if the player has map awareness, it'll be pretty hard to catch her off guard.

Her second skill deals more damage the further you are from your opponent, right? However, in order to maximize that damage, you must use your skill while traveling AWAY from the ORB. This will result in "stacks". Her stacking will increase her damage. You will acquire roughly 3-4 stacks if you do this, 2nd skill opposite way from where you are running. However, you can enhance it by passing through WALLS, which grants you A LOT of movement SPEED bonus. This now provides you 6-7 stacks. The maximum number of stacks you can obtain is ten. Turrets and DESTROYED TURRETS are considered walls, therefore you can use them to acquire movement speed and stacks.

As a selena main, this hero was made for us. I think selena players will have a huge adventage with using the 2nd skill. I know when they first revealed her as a damage mage and everybody just played her as such, my first thought was max cdr and play with some support item if I'm not the only mage on the team and it worked out wonderfully nearly 2 or 3 games with her on classic that were almost perfect games. I kinda want to see a team with long range ults like Xavier and moskov, possibly a yi sun and alduos to go in first and clean up the team while the others just continue to farm in lane turrets at this point are basically useless to hide under at that point xD not to mention having a franco, kaja, or ruby with all their annoying pulls and stuns they'd be able to force a team fight from under a turret and isolate 2 or 3 people at a time. There's a lot of uses for a novaria support she's not map wide vision like alduos or yi sun, but she can very easily create one of the easiest team wipes just by using her abilities to get the slows and hit box widening off

Been playing Novaria since release (mythic glory), she's super useful in teamplay for opening bushes & revealing enemy location with both skill2/3 and with an super extended map view during initial cast of skill2. On top of that, she's capable of doing big damage to backline, KS buffs/turtle/lord aka beatrix sniper ulti style. Equip flameshot spell for a double shots skill2+FS once enemy exposed. Only nemesis are against diving heroes like ling, hanzo, hilda etc
I just got her a few minutes ago! Had to grind BP for a couple of days 😅. So excited to play her so I went to watch your gameplay before trying her.
The only problem I personally have is the aiming/timing of her 2nd skill since I'm not one of the fasthand player so its kinda hard for me but other than that I think she is pretty good.
She's not for Fasthand players, you need to aim her skill with focus and timing, just don't rely on Autoaim for it

Novaria is a bit like cecilion in terms of team play though cecilion is more of a damage dealer while novaria is more of a support with her ult
Both have an option for chase (Novaria skill 2 and Cecilion ult)
Both have relatively high damage scaling (Both can hit over 1k hp with one attack)
and both can do really well in teamfights cecilion offering cc and burst damage and novaria offering sight and high range damage
And best of all
Both can burn through mana after a teamfight

A decent tip: do not approach her 2nd skill to maximize the damage, you need to cast it at your back or you need to pass through walls, when she enters the wall she gains movement speed and apart from that it helps her gain more stocks on her passive and it deals tons of damage.
Her passive stocks only reach up to 10 stocks

2nd skill's damage is based on the travel time when Novaria tossed and receives it. Not on the distance when she shoots it.

If you do it properly and distance yourself you get 5 stacks.
If you do it properly and go through a wall you get 6 stacks.
If you shoot it from a distance the stacks increases based on the distance.
So basically "go through a wall distance yourself to gain 6 stacks then shoot the enemy from a distance and you would have done the maximum damage of 10 stacks
a tip about the second skill: the longer it takes for the orb to reach you, the greater the damage as well as the distance the enemy is hit

Here's a fact about Novaria's ultimate if you didn't know this yet.
We know it's a hitbox extender which benefits heroes like franco alot but it also works with the turret. As long as the extended hitbox is within turret range, then the turret will start attacking.

also 1 tip, (never mind top command has it all, dont read this is if you read top command alreddy) her second skill will also get stacks upon summoning, so its recommanded to spawn it from the oposite directiom you going, then you'll always start with at minimum 4stacks alreddy. You can also use towers or walls to go thruh well summoning, so it goes even higher because of the movement speed...

I still feel like novaria needs a buff: like they could, when novaria uses skills 1 and 2, all the skills can be buffs for each other, or combo skills; For example, when novaria uses her 1st skill, the 2nd skills' second phase, it can push the 1st skill to the 2nd phase limit; Another example is if, the 2nd skill is used first, the 1st skill can buff the 2nd skill, and when the 2nd skills' 2nd phase fires, the 1st skill will make stars fall along the line, dealing damage, until it reaches the target, and then along the line, the 1st skills second phase deals damage along the entirety of the line... 😞

Betosky, you should aim the first phase of Novaria's 2nd skill to the opposite direction of where you're going, you'll gain stacks while the sphere from the 1st skill comes to you, the longer it takes the sphere come to you, the more stacks you'll get, the stacks helps increase your 2nd skill's damage, also you should try going to terrains like a wall or tower to gain movement speed, the faster you are, the longer the sphere will come to you, the more stacks you'll get. Max stacks is 10 btw but it is imposibble to reach 10 without windtalker and sprint.
Something he does not do or explain on the first phase of the 2nd skill the highest distance you travel from the orb the highest the damage will be (can be up to 8 stack). Each stacks increase damage by 15%

If you want to deal more damage you should aim your 2nd skill at your back while going to the enemy. Become the skill will start(after casting 1st phase) as you cast it towards you. While moving you should go away from it to get the most effective damage you can deal. You can see the stacks building up while you move away fron the 1st phase of your 2nd skill. The maximun stacks of the 2nd skill is 10 stacks
