    I still need to get some once the Manix comes out and then I'll give an opinion of it. Definitely tool steels over stainless.

    I'd be curious to compare this to BD1N and S30V but at lower angles. Maybe 25 inclusive or something. I know S30V can get pretty chippy below 30, but I'd like to see how the others do.

      Why would you compare BD1N to SPY27... They're not even close. SPY27 is pretty much S35VN but slightly easier to sharpen. BD1N is just fancy 440C...

    I think Spyderco is smoking some good stuff! Isn't the para 3 lightweight rex45 cheaper than this one? That makes NO sense lol.

      9/10 people off the street who aren't knife steel nerds would pick the stainless blade over the better but rust-prone alloy any day of the week lol. That's how it makes sense...

    Was that a regular green compound?

    • @overlandedc
      @overlandedc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it’s 1 micron diamond emulsion. Old strop that had green compound on it before

    If you still have this, are you interested in trading it for something else? If so, let me know. I am looking for one.

    Hello! I do not know much English ! can you just answer 1. is this steel good? 2. how about corrosion on this steel? good or bad ? thank !

      This is an enthusiasts steel. People who like steel and are interested in learning and experiencing more about steel. Spy27 hasn’t differentiated itself yet but it may become cheaper/ better ht and fit a role well.
