"What’s wrong with fifa"
LMAO
shib, some people never learn!
I would love to study the brain of someone who buys Fifa every year, and then buy the Fifa packs every year, just to watch it be obsolete a year later, for them to buy the exact same game with the exact same lootbox packs, I have a theory that the brain scanner would look like it is not working.
Most people dont realy spend money on the game its the minority that splashes money on the game, I buy it every year and the most ive spent is like 10 bucks, most stuff obtanable for free is usually the best items like sbc content and season rewards/swap rewards. Also fifa aint just ultimate team there is career mode, pro clubs and volta. The new game is a complete rebrand made with a new engine and a reworked interface, graphics and animations. Its almost like you hate on the microtransactions part that honestly dont matter in fifa cuz you are not guaranteed anything. Also people dont just buy it cuz its a game, its a community related to the real life sport and has events connected to it.@@ElementVoidX
It's a nice arcady simulator for playing offline "My career" mode, anyone buying the game every year and buying packs has obviously a problem.
Same with those who get madden time after time…….. fuck madden
I'm convinced that Alana's intro is a mind control experiment. Its too damn hypnotic!
We may never know.
True lol
True 2
I only watched her for the first time yesterday and this morning I hummed the tune in the shower without even realizing.
It's softcore sissy hypno corn hahha
There's no reasoning with Todd Howard rushing games. He basically rushed the pizza guy to deliver his pizzas for only 4 minutes less just to get free pizzas XD
Also the pizza isn’t even fully cooked either, and is clearly just a frozen pizza.
bioshock is definitely a timeless game, it is still so much fun and such a unique atmosphere
Star Wars Battlefront 2 the original game. Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, the Onimusha series. There are dozens, if not hundreds of games released prior to 2008 that hold up well even today. The original God of War games.
My zoomer baby brother just found his old ps2 and borrowed a few of my games because his ps4 games aren’t cutting it and it’s currently cheaper than getting a ps5 and new games.
That foxy tail sway and singing will never stop being Iconic. Absolutely amazing stuff here smuglana
Its why I'm still watching.
Amen, Mouse, amen.
@@gregd806 greg d Hello Homie ❤ 🐀
When I saw battlepasses everywhere, my heart sank.
When I saw cat ears in Halo, my heart leapt off a cliff.
This has almost become my new Asmongold TV, which means I'll tune into every video
46 gig? You got to pump those number up, those are rookie numbers. Hadn’t used my computer in a week. Turned it on, opened steam, 110 gig update for total war warhammer III. I didn’t get to play anything that day.
Enjoy your microtransaction simulators, Zoomer.
3:20 nah thats actually super cool that its modularized and you can choose what is installed. More things should be that way, it cuts down on download sizes.
Actually, The MCC collection having to install each game seperately, including the mutiplayer seperately, I think thats pretty cool. Instead of Installing over 100GB worth of Game and their Mutiplayer componants, you get to Pick and Choose which ones you want to have installed. Just want to play the Campagins or Mutiplayer? Just install that bit. Only play a couple of games? No need to install all of them.
It is certainly a little _diffrent_ and surprising at first, but each install only takes a few minutes anyway so not a big deal.
I agree with this. I do hate that it’s always a hassle to find it because the UI is trash, though.
@@RedX1080 Yeah they tucked it away under Settings/Options> Gameplay> Choose Installed Files.
Something like that.
I agree, I would rather not infect my computer with Halo 4. The terrible UI doesn’t help and it’s hard to remember where the setting for it is, but it’s better this way.
My condolences for Alana having hopes for Warcraft 3: Refunded.
I'm sorry, but the No Man's Sky slander is uncalled for.
Alot of this guy's tirades were uncalled for
"yeah i played the mobile version when iwas little kid"
holy shit that line woke me up and took wind out of me at same time, i need to take walk and have middle age crisis.
I was wondering where in the video this was. Yeah Splinter Cell is very old now. I got the collection for like 3 bucks, just to see if I can still play it. Really hope none of the coding was tied to how fast your system is.
I usually quit a game when battlepass gets added. The only battle pass that didn't actively make me want to quit was probably deep rock galactic.
I feel like this video is the meme "Old man yells at cloud" while I think he has a lot of good points there are others where is: >I'M YELLING AND BEING SARCASTIC SO MY POINT IS CORRECT<
I don't know that video felt "doomer boomer i hate everything now"
Yeah boy, daily uploads!
No Man's Sky wasn't AAA tho. It was made by an indie dev team that's smaller than the average Wendy's team.
if you haven't watched the vids, it was then marketed by Sony and priced like a AAA.
Black and White were fucking awesome. I loved the singing of the guys building that boat, and my favorite pastime was dropping huge rocks on houses.
Honestly, the concept was great. The absolute SATISFACTION from the sound of turning trees into wood. Or slap your creature around :P
I would play black and white 2 right now, if I could get the damn things to work on windows 10.
trust me I tried, apparently there's an old ass forum that is maintained by some people
I couldn't figure out how to patch after spending an entire weekend cus it was so annoying, for obvious reasons lmao
@@SmugAlanaVtuberThey messed up Diablo too by making it online only that's the only thing I'll say about that and I say this is someone that has played yobbler 2 since I was 7 years old or whenever it came out I don't remember how old I was now I'm that fucking old.
I remember playing a snowboarding game for Dreamcast as a kid, and heck if I know what it was called, but you could unlock a snowman with a creepy voice riding a shovel (max speed stat, next to no maneuverability) or an alien on a hoverboard. It as fun as hell with the announcer calling out ridiculous tricks you would pull (or fail to pull) off, and games just don't get made like that anymore.
Also, omfg Hydro Thunder was on Dreamcast too!
Might've been SSX I think, I loved watching my mom play it when I was younger on the PS2.
Man, I feel so fucking old.
Great system. Loved jet set radio and shemue.
Oh yeah, I think I know what game you're talking about!
It's Rippin' Riders! I loved that game when I was a kid, to unlock the alien, you had to get top scores in five different tracks and then beat the track you unlocked after. I never did figure out how to unlock the snowman though, I just remembered my brother telling me about it existing.
@@icyatlasartworks Yeah! That's the one! I remember having an old magazine back in the day explaining how to unlock things, and it described playing the snowmanr as "tossing a potato down a mountainside" with how fast and unmaneuverable it was.

Far Cry 3&4 are goated, i stopped playing 5 after like 7 hours and 6 dosen't exist in my book...
2 was pretty good, I especially liked hearing the enemies shout at me in my native Afrikaans, 5 was alright, the way you get to fight each regions bosses where pretty bad, like you could catch a fish and the boss would go "oh shit I need to act against this threat" - the amount of just standing around and making jokes where pretty bad tho, only liked walking around in the open world.
a big problem with releasing broken and then improving over time, is that you only have 1 chance to do a first impression, and a lot of people don't have the patience to give you a second glance if you fuck up the first time.
Far Cry 2 and the Dunia engine could have been the jumping off point for something good, but we live in one of the dead-end timelines.
this is why i play monster hunter it has been monster hunter for 20 years and each new iteration is just more monster hunter with quality of life improvements and ocasionally testing the waters with a new gimik on the portable versions
A bit off topic, but I wanted to talk about it in response to the No Man's Sky mention. As someone who has actually played No Man's Sky in its updated stage and is having fun with it, ill admit that the game is not for everyone. First off, its true that its a massive sandbox. If you don't like that kind of game, then its just not for you, and that's fine since not every game is for everyone. Saying that the game is not fun simply because of A its past and B you don't THINK you will like it is very disingenuous but like I said, if you dislike the genre its whatever.
Something I will say is that while I am glad that Hello Games actually went through with updating the game, I really wish they had just launched it at a good state. The game is great now, but I really, REALLY dont want to see NMS be used as an excuse for games launching in horrible states under the pretext that they will do the same NMS did.
Holy shit! I found another black & white fan in the wild!! Oh my god! Yes!
*flashbacks to the guys on the beach singing about wood*
35:43 I did as well and you saying that brought memories flooding back from that time period in my life. Those were good times
MCC also sells each halo separately and each multiple separately
At first I thought you were talking about only Reach and ODST, but I looked on Steam and ya you can buy each one individually. On Xbox it's only Reach & ODST that are DLCs since the game is called "The Master Chief Collection" and so it makes sense why they didn't have those extra titles on release. I personally don't see any problem with how the MCC is currently structured (on release of course it was a mess) and being able to install the individual games you prefer to play will help save room on your hard drive. However some weekly challenges may be unobtainable and matchmaking may take longer if you don't have a specific game installed.
its never been a better time for gaming! the matchless kung fu exists, lunacid exists, dread delusion exists, kenshi exists and is getting a sequel, rainworld's dlc came out...fuck when did that come out? is tht still modern? dwarf fortress and cataclysm are more developed today than they were yesterday, dragons dogma 2 is right around the corner. and i do kinda mean that unironically, this guy just seems to only pay attention to the bad shit.
also omg that frogger game unlocked some core memories.
Oh boy, I sure do love Modern Gaming TM.
YOUR DOG AND CAT ARE SO CUTE!!!
This Vtuber has some good gaming takes
far cry blood dragon is the only one I would recommend because the writing is a love letter to old action movies and is hilarious!
i've been waiting to see ppls reactions to this its soo good
BLACK AND WHITE IS FUCKING AWESOME!
Farcry 1 and 2 were baller at the time. We loved making our computers melt to brag on the schoolyard about who got more frames at which setting.
24:00 "People still love Riot" spoken like someone who doesn't play league every day out of Stockholm Syndrome and nothing else.
Cute dog and cat
Dogo and kitty, Awwww. LOL the "BRB" post it note!
I recall The Act Man made a video on "Modern Gaming" as well. Wouldn't be surpised if thats where that phase comes from.
Edit: oh this guy, i saw that video a few days ago. Small world it seems.
Okay, Cyberpunk 2077 had a rocky launch. But, for those of us who were blessed to not encounter any major bugs: The game is fucking brilliant. One of the best RPGs out there.
If you were one of the haters, I recommend playing it again.
PS: Elden Ring was unplayable for me at launch, took over a week till I could get it to run. You don't hear me bashing it, because it is a good game.
I did. I didn't play it at launch at all. First time tried in by the end of 23. It's very mid. It looks great, it's very stylish, but the gameplay is just mid. The most fun I had there was shooting all the french juju peeps, after them screwing you over and over again. A lot of it feels disjointed and abrupt in how it presents itself. Gameplay is... Okay? Nothing spectacular. The most fun it was with Johnny's flashbacks, when you shoot dudes in the heads and they explode. Slapping half a mag into a guy to drop him forced me to go full stealth and hacking, because at least that's entertaining. HL at least had some huge very big guns and aliens. It makes sense with aliens.
The additional DLC story fixes some of that, but it expects you to care for some reason and I got dropped into it by accident straight after being burnt on false promises of help twice in a row, so I'm seriously questioning why would my character even do all that?
And the President easily dropping my gorilla arms jacked up superdude high on chrome and pumped full of artificial battle powder was wack. I know you have to show me how cool she is, but c'mon, I'm pretty sure my guy could throw a car at this point.
It's mid.
Looks great though.
@@nemamiah7832 I notice you focus mostly on the gameplay, which is of course a legit thing. I wouldn't call the gameplay the high point.
When I say the game is great, I'm thinking from an overall presentation perspective. Not many games have had me feel the characters are genuine people with lives of their own more than CP77, those are the things I care about when I look at an RPG. You seem to be of a different opinion. Fair enough.
@@TheAurgelmir Oh, presentation is great. Night City looks amazing. They definitely nailed that. Aside from music, imo. I imagined it being super 80s on steroids for this settings. Instead it was just meh. But this part is definitely just taste.
If the game gamed better, I would be singing praises to it. Unfortunately it doesn't. But I will absolutely concede the point on presentation. Hell, I not once skipped a passenger sequence.
@@nemamiah7832The game did game the RPG elements to the next level though. And for an RPG that's really what I'm looking for.
Fluffy ears! So cute! ❤
I just saw that Alana has watched the "Japan's ridiculous weatherwoman fiasco" video. HOW HAS ALANA WATCHED EVERY SINGLE VIDEO I HAVE WATCHED?
The MCC having separate installs is fantastic. Why would you always want MCC to take up 120 gbs when i wouldn't play halo 4 or 2. what if i just wanted to play combat evolved? Should i have to download every halo game on there!?!?
38:35 well we do get fun games, like Sunset Overdrive, but no one buys it, so it fails. And we then get run if the mill action titles from a really innovative development team.
11:29 now a days i rly arent that scared when game is over 60GBs but almost a decade ago i still had connection that was 14Mbps on a good day. on a normal day it was around 8-10Mbps "upload was around 3-5Mbps"
so ye. it took ages to download new games or large updates
Playing through Hades again. That's a great 'newish' game
Man, do we need an NBA street series re-release.
>popular = bad
basically summed up his GoW/HZD/etc moments
Profits over passion is what the gaming industry has become. The higher ups are squeezing every drop of cash out of the player base. And once they're done they'll step down and move to another market to do the exact same thing.
Last of Us came out late in the PS3 era, and got re-released on PS4
Black and White were based as hell. Thought my friend and I were the only people that ever played it lol
I legit can't tell if this guy is serious, or only partially serious. Cause if he's serious then I'mma just let him have his opinions and move on.
I agree with his opinion about the indie indie games, at least the rogue likes. They're color palettes are too similar, they're pastel because it isn't too saturated but at the same time makes them feel arcadey, and
28:34 to the Far Cry, who remember story of the first Far Cry with the monsters and then no more on that (maybe there was some connections in Far Cry 2 but idk its been long time since i played that😅)
20:30 I forgot to add to my comment on rewatching Bleach that counts all the filler arcs and episodes.
SOOOO, lots of rewatched episodes and movies lol.
3 was my first ubisoft game so its fine
My man here crapped on TUNIC!? That's not even a rogue like. Sure it's low poly, but man it's a fucking great game!
Where do i go to find the discord
You got love the cove.
I think the main reason people re watch old shows is because if they're good why not re watch it? Nothing wrong with re watching shows and movies
I didn't know you had discord sever as its never in your info part.
Those animals are so cute!!!
ATV off-road fury was a lit series on ps2
It's suck when all I want is to have fun but god say NO, try hard it is
I must pet the pets, it is an obligation, not an option. I also must try to hold the cat. Hopefully I wouldn't be shredded in the process.
4:28 I felt that
I have watched through psych bike 730 something times
This reminds me of old Egoraptor.
TF2 is a great example here, a game that has completely survived because no other FPS has ever tried to be anywhere near as goofy as it is; leaving a little area all to itself as devs go for those fun elements less often.
This (gaming=job)eminds me of when I played final fantasy and to join a company(guild for the uninitiated) i had to put in an application and wait like 2 weeks for someone to invite me to chat on discord to have a LIVE INTERVIEW in order to be JUDGED and approved to join the damn company! And it wasn't just 1 either! You had to go through a similarly humiliating process to join any of the big endgame companies! And once you joined you get to help them out killing monsters and giving them the shit you earned to give to some other shit that has raided with you twice in the past year that will leave as soon as they get their shit that the guild seems more important than you because they have a higher gear score or are blowing the guild master or some shit!
**Breathes into a bag**
I don’t care what this guy says, GOW and GOW Ragnarok are incredible games. Honestly it doesn’t matter if you’re over saturated with a certain genre of games as long as those games are actually great. I feel like Sony is doing that far better than others. If you’re not into cinematic story games, then so be it, but I’m hungry for more if they’re genuinely great games.
They're great games, but my biggest problem with especially Ragnarok, is that in the puzzles they treat you like a child who can't figure it out.
Yeah same with rogue likes, i get that not everyone likes them but there wouldn't be so many if there wasn't a market for it.
@@Utub9604 Honestly idk why hack and slashes ever needed puzzles. Back in the day, GoW 1-3 and Dante's Inferno infuriated me with puzzles when I really just wanna hack zombies and monsters to bits.
@@Utub9604 yeah I personally had no issue with it. I didn’t feel the same way others did while doing the puzzles. I like when the characters talk to me and I didn’t feel like I was being spoiled with the answers. Maybe I just wasn’t listening or I solved them before they got the chance, but it was so minor it didn’t matter to me. The visuals, epicness, story, cinematics, characters, combat, challenge, etc. were incredible. I put in 150 hours and it never got old. I’ve still yet to replay on NG+ which I’m still excited to do. I played first time around and 100% it on balanced and I’m a third of the way through on a new playthrough on the hardest difficulty.
Because both of those games are incredible. This guy comes off as a hard core boomer to me. (And I can say it becuase I'm playing games fror 20+ years by now.) The tipical "everything was better in my day" type of guy.
Don't want to age myself but I haven't seen a cut scene since RES2. Go on I'll give you a clue. I remember pong. Great videos you funny furry eared legend.
I love and miss Black and White!
Ridiculous fun bat shit crazy things in games: literally morrowind aged like whine fine with that telepathy magic, and air walking voodoo stuff while wearing amor and a robe over the amor, and literally slapping a cliff racer in the ducking air walking, with a giant Japanese sword while wearing literal crab helmet, and 5 stolen rings with broken healing magic on them that somehow by miracle of the tribunal you found these ring on a bunch of random barrels in an alley near the local Morang tong building.
good times indeed you could do real bat shit crazy stuff in the 2000s of gaming peak. gamming just doesn't feel good no more.
I miss the sodium one salt shooter
At first when I looked at the picture of the dog, I thought it is a Finnish Spitz but, then I decided to make quick comparison of Shiba Inu and Finnish Spitz. I came to conclusion that it is, a Shiba Inu. You love your doggo like you love the meme SmugAlana?
2:14 Alana, i agree wit u on ur statement of NMS. Like, come on man, No Man's Sky? ok, i get it was buggy on release, but it's so much better now
Don't tell Alane that TLoU was released in total 4 times - launch, re-release (- ps4), remasterd (- also ps4), AND drum roll plz .......~~~~~♫ ♪~~ the PS FIVE *hands clapping, children cheering*
Maybe the game Fata Deum can revive Black & White
While I do agree that No Man's Sky should of delivered what it promised at the start, the fact that they didn't just abandon it and kept improving the game with constant updates and free expansions shows that there were people who cared enough about making the game be what they wanted it to be to continue development. I don't agree with the guys attitude at all when he was talking about it.
It's not really my type of game, but the guy downplaying the achievements they made in actually fixing up No Man's Sky rubs me the wrong way.
You think that man is boomer for wanting to go back to skype heh I WANT TO GO BACK TO VENTRILO
14:15 oh, the real bastardization from the halo remake was the into to the flood levels, they REALLY fucked that up beyond redemption.
20:08 I rewatch things because nothing new comes out that replaces or is even really in the same genre of what I want to watch. just for instance, what anime does tenchi muyo oav 1 special 1 oav2, universe, gxp, war on geminar, photon, dual parallel trouble adventures other than another anime by the same guy? where is my ranma half? here is my dragon half? god I love isekai and literally read every single one that gets translated, their are alot of similar ones there, but where is my konosuba replacement? I mean ffs the original novel is 11 years old, the manga is nearly 9, the anime is 7, where is the new version of that? where is my franken fran like manga/story, that shit is nearing 20.
I get that that argument is probably true for many people, my little brother is on his 30th rewatching of breaking bad, he definitely refuses to watch new things because he can rewatch things he knows he liked, but i'm sitting here rewatching dreadd and raid again because hollowood wont give me a replacement, the 80's and 90's action movies are dead, we don't have any movie stars anymore.
I honestly wish that there was more stuff for me to watch, but at this point I have watched everything that is good, and I either have to start looking at made for streaming stuff (nearly all garbage but high rating's because vote manipulated) or I get to try and find indie movies/videos...
so I get to watch people react, or I get to try and think of that one old anime/movie/cartoon that I I remember I liked but dont have a fresh enough memory to recite near verbatim, I can't enjoy slayers or slayers next anymore because of this, you know, I think the old battle athletes would probably fit this perfectly, I remember its batshit, and I liked it, and while it had somewhat needless drama, its not horrible to watch... maybe el hazard post urta coming in,
I have a text document on my pc for when I either gain amnesia, or gain alzheimer's that is just a 'you really loved these shows' document, just for stuff I wish I could go in blind/watch for the first time again... kind of sad I can't wait to use it.
27:50 all ubisoft open world games are good, the problem is they make 1 fucking open world game and reskin it, so if you play 2 of them in a short enough time span you burn out hard on them.
for farcry specifically, 3 is pretty ok, cop out bullshit with boss fights but whatever, I like running around takeing small bases and just basicly being rambo in the woods
farcry 4 was farcry 3 but better mechanics and worse story
farcry 5 is kind of meh, but its still a fun game to play
farcry 6, I have not touched, only recently got a gpu powerful enough to run it and not have massive issues but im guessing see above... I would probably recomend 3, and blood dragon.
and to top it off, braindead ai is a good thing for the most part, if you want to know what good ai is able to do, play farcry 1 and crysis, or arma 1/2/3, I dont want to have to do realistic sneaking to engage enemies, I want the fantasy, not the simulation. would I like them to do a bit more than what they do when they engage, yes, but I dont want them to actually be smart.
On his point 15... games have damn near 0 development since mario 64, goldeneye, and ultima online outside of essentially quality of life stuff so you don't need to keep irl track of quests, or minor control updates. you can argue half-life 2 and physics puzzles, but they were everywhere you would see how garbage of a game design they are. you can also argue minecraft was the last real innovation for game design with essentially infinite legos, but I think there was a lego game that let you play with legos digitally a long time ago (and order the leggos to build it irl... I know) but other than that, there is 0 gameplay innovation, realistically its all just trying not to profusely shit itself compared to the elders, and falling to do so 90% of the time. I don't give one fuck about graphics as long as they serve their purpose and aren't getting in the way (think a game about snipers, but because they are 600 meters away the grass they are hiding behind isn't rendering, so you get a clear shot, that's what I mean, shit could look like roblox as long as its not getting in the way)
I quite honestly despise new graphics, because god knows the developers who make games now a days cant fucking optimize for shit, so we get games that instead of using fsr or dlss to extend a graphics cards life, demand fsr or dlss to make their shitheap of a game playable at above 30fps at 1080p playable on a 4090. I honestly dread new console gens because of these incompetent fucks.
... As a Jeremy... It's true...

Never had any problems with Cyberpunk, must have been really lucky.
It's jover.
Yep Halo MCC makes you instal every individual game.
Also sims 4 costs over $1000 if you want everything.
And Metagaming is so pervasive it's already infested Helldivers 2, a PVE co-op shooter with a progression system that doesnt expire with multiple mechanics not working yet.
Glad cyberpunk had it's redemption arc.
I also have a cat dog that gives me side eyes
I actually think league wont die or get hated for these reasons. They actually keep things fresh. This month for example, leagues map entirely changed, the items changed, and new gamemodes have been made this last year.
Compare that to many mobas.
