George Harrison was a criminally underrated guitarist. He had the same natural gift as David Gilmour has: exquisite phrasing and the ability to provide space between notes. Allowing the silence in at times can speak volumes.
Yeah, I think if you’re a huge huge huge fan and you’ve heard HCTS hundreds of times, the solo is a nice addition to the listening experience. It’s also very difficult!! George really could play tough stuff and make it sound easy
Totally agree!! I think if they wouldn’t have had the idea to do the solo, and then remove it at the last minute, they wouldn’t have done so many “sun sun sun here it comes” and that part might not feel as empty
Totally agree! It distracts from the intricate rhythms and takes the tension out of this great instrumental bridge which, by repetition and very slight variation, builds up to whatever ma come next when it is resolved into a completely relaxed new verse that also contains what must be the sweetest countermelody (by synthesizer) in all Beatles music. It's nice to hear this 'forgotten' solo, but it was a wise decision not to use it, IMO.
George... always tasty. As a player and writer myself, I think the only reason I would've left it out is because it's the only electric guitar on the song, and only during that one break.
aaah ! finally somebody brings this to the worlds attention ! God bless you my friend ! RIP George, this solo is so beautiful and an Indian Mystism makes it even better, isnt it a pity , isnt it a shame, that how it didnt make to the original release ..! Keep up the good work man !
i love this! i understand it's unlikely you'd respond but i'd love if you could supply us with any tabs or anything for this, as i'd love to learn, but i dont know the tuning or anything, and every note i press seems wrong haha
could you by any chance link the tab to this somewhere because you did this really well and id love to learn it! if you could thatd be amazing, thank you :)

I like the solo, but the song is already perfect.
I think I am the only one who like this solo.
You and me brother
@Sean Atkinson - Official that really warms my heart.
i cant hear the original song without hearing the solo now, i love it!!
@@seanjams me too
Indeed you are not 😊
Such a clean recording, and faithfully played too.
Spot on tone! I actually really like the solo. Good cover

@@seanjams It blows my mind how much George, and Ringo for that matter, get dumped on by people who have no earthly clue what they're talking about.
@@seanjams I’ve listened to this solo so many times HCTS feels empty without the solo

@@seanjams So true.
THE SONG IS JUST FABULOUS...
But with this solo, would be fascinating ❤
Better w/o the solo. Less is more in this case.

Disagree
@@aureliande2659 It's true, but it's also great that it reappeared, cause it really sounds a lot like George Harrison, thus it's a treasure.
Could have totally been added at low volume, but it’s too dark I guess for a “bright” sunny song 🤷♂️
Excellant rendition, nothing comes close, my man!
I didn't know Charlie Kelly was such a good guitarist!
George... always tasty.

Cant belive the solo didnt make it to the final cut in the song
Bravo! Great playing!
Sounds really nice Sean!
Definitely preferable without the solo but it could have worked as long as that last part wasn't in the final mix.
Nicely done!

I would have really liked it at the end of the song!
such an awesome solo that works as a teaser of what was to come of George the following year. A shame they took it out!
Sounds great.
Wow!
Loved it
George was a astoshining guitarrist!
Good play
YESSSSS
I have a Fender Electric, how bout' them apples?
It's nice solo. I wonder if it was ever played in his concerts.
Please, bring a beer to this man.
excelente
That one needed to be lost
Lol

plz do a cover of here comes the sun full song
Wish they kept it in
Yes the solo should have been kept in the mix can anyone remix the tune with the solo for laughs and giggles…
I feel the biggest issue is the key. It feels like the the solo is going against the key of the song. Maybe it’s a modal issue, but it feels off.
only on the last bit
Very nice, man! What timbre is it?
w/out > w/
Broo tutorial plis
Have the tabs?
Tab??
I didn't know Mao Zedong was such a good guitar player!
I like the solo but it doesn’t fit
If this was really a solo they got rid of then thank god, it’s too much! 🤮
it's horrible (not the way u play, the solo)
