I subscribed to this channel just because of the sheer joy that FFVII gives to Max. I know the feeling all too well so it's entertaining for me to see someone share the same kind of passion,
Being able to vicariously play FF7 so passionately through someone who is so infatuated with the game is truly special. Max's FF7 playthroughs are some of the best pieces of content ever produced by him solely because of his knowledge and love for the games. Whenever im sick or sad ill go watch anything FF7 related and feel so elated that someone can be so happy and love the game, himself, and the community around it so much.
Same! never played OG FFVII and jumped on the remake after stumbling upon Max's channel going crazy over the remake's ending, then went and beat the OG, can't wait to see Max lose his mind when this drops
My favorite thing is that Max has built his entire career around the FGC and fighting games, built one of the best fighting game channels on youtube and twitch, the best Street Fighter possibly *ever* just came out, and the happiest I've ever seen Max is when watching a trailer for an RPG. His infectious hype got me to bite on FF7R and I didn't regret a second of it.
I'm pretty sure I found Max through his FF7-related content, and I love coming to see his reactions to everything new coming out about this Remake trilogy. That said, his fighting game content is equally fantastic, so whenever I (someone who isn't particularly into fighting games) decide to dabble in one, I come to his channel to watch him discuss the game and see if I can pick up any tricks to improve my skills.
I wanna play ff7r, and I got bored halfway through the original. The combat just looks so hype, like crisis core which is lowkey what carried me through that game 🙃
Max is such a great content creator. Even though I found him through game reveal reactions, it was his personality that made me stay and watch him play games. Also, a fighting game enthusiast' favorite game is an RPG but his future predictions power is also something that can't be ignored. It's truly the power of having 99+ insights.
I wonder if Sephiroth was talking about Tifa like the trailer shows, or if he was talking about Aerith? I love that the fact that this whole new Remake series being a sequel is something that Sephiroth, Aerith, and Cloud may finally start talking about normally. Also Max was spot on about which character would know what's going on lol. Edit: I see now, Sephiroth was taking about Tifa based on the Japanese trailer. Thanks for informing me guys! Hopefully this clears up any confusion for others too.
My interpretation is that, because Tifa is going to be vocalizing her doubts in Cloud’s story earlier, Sephiroth will be intrusively making Cloud distrustful of Tifa, giving the “true” story of what happened in Nibelheim a he said/she said quality. It preserves the tension of what really happened for new players, gives Tifa permission to be smart, and gives Cloud a believable reason to not be listening to Tifa if she challenges his recollection. He doesn’t know why she’s not dead, she doesn’t know why he knows all this.
Yuffie's reaction to Sephiroth appearing in that violet hue implies that Sephiroth's new powers are related to Stagnant Mako. That is why Yuffie freaked out so much. Yuffie recognized the violet energy as the same Stagnant spirit energy that Nero used. So it looks like Sephiroth has learned how to ustilize the Stagnant Lifestream, which is made of sould that have refused to become part of the normal flow of the Lifestream.
If you think about that only Sephiroth and Nero has slitted cat-eyes in the entire game and the signatures of their powers are highly similar, it is highly possible that you are right.
Fun fact. That reaction is what the development team was looking for from max. Infact they got better than they thought. They wanted to top his old reaction😂😂😂
My favorite part is when he just stated that the whole party is dead. That made me laugh. "Barret is dead!" "Tifa is dead!" "They killed the dog!" Lmao. Everything about this, the stream and the trailer is what I live for. What a time to be alive!

@Yunsha is this your first time watching his videos? Imagine thinking Max doesn't know about FF7. The "what is happening " isn't confusion, it's excitement similar to "I can't believe I'm watching this". Plus Remake/rebirth isn't 1 to 1 so no one really knows what is going to happen. It's a different time line from OG FF7. This has been covered quite a bit already.
In the combat cut outside Junon where they are showing off RED XIII's combat, the party consists of Cloud, Barret, and Red. If you pause, you can see Tifa sitting outside the battle about 20 yards, so I'm expecting party swaps now too, while in mid battle like FF10.
You know my favorite part of the trailer? Aerith with her hands behind her back shuffling/kicking her feet in the river. It's just an adorable cute little background scene that adds nothing but I love it.

Theory: the Cloud we see at 4:02 is from the Zack timeline, we know because of events he should still be "sick" there which would let Jenova control him much easier, would not be shocked if they go this route
I think it's also tied to the beginning of the trailer. They all died in Zacks timeline cause Cloud wasn't there, notice how they didn't show Clouds body being hauled away. My thought is Zack lived and Cloud never got better in that timeline and eventually left for the reunion forcing Zack to search for him so Avalance never had Cloud or Zack join them and they ended up dieing because of the singularity at the end of remake.
Its kind of a given, its also possible that the explosion of the Whispers didnt just split the timeline but pushed Zack and Cloud from that branch foward in time given that A. Zack doesnt find Aerith in the church and people are taking refuge as if after a incident. B. The news info at the start of the trailer doesnt have Cloud in it. Maybe the trailer cut off before showing him or for all we know it could also be Shinra propaganda to say that the cause of the destruction was neutralized. But this trailer definetly confirmed that Zack will be a key player in this and the finale of the trilogy

Max’s hype and love for FF7 is so damn infectious that it actually made me play the original before Remake came out and I became such a big fan! I’m obsessed with FF7 OG and Remake, they’re both some of my favorite games of all time thanks to Max. I even went and played/beat FF9 because my interest in Final Fantasy kept growing. My hype is growing everyday since I finished Remake.

@@phillystevesteak6982 no he is the creative director of the project, he isn't directing the game day to day, but everything goes through him and no big decisions would be made without him - he's the exec producer/showrunner in TV terms - obv its collaborative and he lets the game director do his thing, but creatively in terms of design/character/story he is absolutely 100% heavily involved in all of it
@@lofirecordclub As long as he sticks with being a creative director, not pushing other stuff and solely focusing on the visuals, I'm good with it. And as long as Kitase can keep Nomura in check and make sure the guy is working, we'll get a good game.
I kinda envy you I didn't played the og when it came out, and I played on pc years later but the game was bugged(pirate version since I lived in cuba back then)so I couldn't finish it. I don't have that nostalgia for the game but I'm inlove with this new one.
Man, just wish I liked the remake at all. Honestly hated a lot of the changes and I hate the combat to boot. It's just not great. I would hope Rebirth would fix a lot of those issues, but I seriously doubt it.
I played Crisis Core blind (no knowledge of anything FF7) and got emotionally punched in the gut for it. I played FF7 shortly after. Even though I would have loved to see FF7 when it was brand new, I'm also ridiculously hyped.

FFVII means so much to me as somebody who played it at launch when it came out in 1997 as a 16 year old. Clearly means just as much and more to those making the remake too.. an amazing treat
Ya know, with all the remakes, sequels etc these days failing and never living up to what they should… i’m just so glad they didnt rush this game. If there was one remake in my life i didnt want them to ruin, it was this, and thus far… they’ve delivered.

As someone who is still super new to Final Fantasy (playing 9 rn and its so charming), this is really cool to see just how much love care and passion that is clearly going into this. Im definitely going to play the og FF7 first but its going to be cool to see where the journey takes these characters.
When I was a kid, I really disliked 9 and thought it was too kiddy, but as an adult where every day feels like a grimdark adventure, FF9 really put the Fantasy back in it for me.
I honestly don't think the party is dead in Zack's timeline - perhaps critically injured, and ShinRa is collecting them to do nefarious testing because you KNOW Hojo has a vested interest in them after they all survived his trials in Remake.
When I saw the trailer with Max, I have massive goosebumps and in awe by the amount of sheer contents that the games gonna have and also the fact that it comes with two disc really makes it even more awesome.
@@jony7sama I wanted to say the same thing, everyone keeps forgetting that Remake was on two discs already. However, you also have to keep in mind that PS4 compression was way worse than PS5 compression. When you look at the file sizes of a PS4 app compared to its PS5 app of the same game, the PS5 version is always about 30% smaller despite looking better. (Part of that is also that there is no need for data redundancy on a game specifically baked for SSDs)
I like how he all of a sudden noticed how off the rails he was and had to force himself to tone it down because otherwise he was going to miss details. It was just such a pure display of emotion that you don't always get to see, especially with streamers trying to overreact to everything.

I think for cloud in zacks timeline, it might be when we see him in the robes saying “reunion”. Without tifa helping cloud and the death of zack not propelling cloud for his story, he might now actually just be another sephiroth clone
That's my exact theory so far. Especially since we don't see Clouds body at the beginning of the trailer. I also want to put forth the reason Zack didn't go straight to Aerith because Cloud never got better and left for the Reunion. Zack would obviously go looking for him, taking him out of the action. Which in turn would end up getting them all killed. Although I wonder if the Sigularity Killed them or maybe they Died fighting a version of Sephiroth since they didn't have Cloud/Zack there to help. Or were they just a casualty of the Singularity causing Tornandos when our Group destroyed the whispers.

@@RicochetForce I don't think Aerith is dead, possibly just knocked out or something, her hands looked crossed on her chest under the blanket and she doesn't look dead dead like the rest of them. It also doesn't make sense that she would even meat Avalanche without Cloud, Cloud is the one that falls down onto her flowers and meets her and then brings her to Section 7 and introduces her to Avalanche. Red X makes sense because they meet him when they invade Shrina Tower which is more plausible that they would end up going there even without cloud at some point. I dunno they will have to explain it all.

I nearly cried watching this. It’s insane how special this franchise has become again. FF16 and SF6 will take up all of my gaming needs for the rest of the year until Spider-Man 2 in October, and then FF7 Rebirth in 2024 😭

In the trailer for the 25th anniversary Tifa said "are You saying that I died, that I'm an impostor". They're hinting at It in both trailers. Also, could there be a connection between the Eagle that flies at the beginning of remake and in the final scene of Intergrade and Zack saying "those wings, I want them too" when he died?. I like to think in that timeline even as a spirit he's still watching the main characters of the story
Seeing Max filled with joy around Final Fantasy 7 is what I enjoy out of him, what can I say? Final Fantasy 7 is the reason I also got into FF, and the environment is beautiful!

My theory is that Sephiroth is trying to prevent Cloud and Tifa’s lifestream trip. If the two are at odds with each other then she never gets to recover him and Cloud is lost forever, not able to fight Sephiroth.

Last year’s trailer where Tifa accused Cloud of thinking she’s an imposter, this trailer having the Whisper glitch after the Kalm INN scene, and Sephiroth’s comment about her dying as she gets sliced. Too much about the two of them doubting each other for it to be a coincidence.
What I love the most: A) Max's reaction. Because it's everything lol B) they only gave us storyline from the OG FFVII with the exception of the beginning showing Barrett, Tifa, Aerith, and Red on the stretchers presumably dead. Just everything about this game...I LOVE IT!!!
Yuffie is terrified of Jenova 🥺 Nero totally screwed her up. Intermission hinted at Wutai changing a ton but there's a whole other dimension to her character with this. I couldn't be happier with how big a revamp her story is getting and I expect the same for Cid, Vincent and Cait Sith the story is going to be so rich.

Yuffie is a better foil for Nero as she's more vulnerable than Vincent, The proto materia making Vincent immune to his dark energy neutered him he was too strong for his own good narratively.

I thought I might have been the only one that thought the ending of the Midgar section was the end of original Final Fantasy 7 and then had my mind blown when the open world area was revealed. Memories of 1997! Also, Cait Sith is probably going to be pronounced "Cat Shee" not "Kate Sith".
As far as I remember, in the post credits sequence with zack, they walk “past” the main party from the game. And it feels like it’s in a “different time/timeline/space” but in the same location. So yeah, I think that’s the case. They will probably meet up as Sephiroth has in the first game. Probably have a cloud meeting cloud moment. Or maybe he dies in zack’s timeline and then they have the emotional reunion as their friend died in each of their original timelines
Back when they made the ps3 tech demo that same night I had a dream of me playing what I imagined Final Fantasy Remake would look and play like and this is not far off, however it was a part that hasn't been shown or even barely spoken about, I was piloting the highwind, chasing the Ultima Weapon through the valleys of Cosmo Canyon, all in a cool action sequence with the Weapon Raid theme playing. If this comes true then I will be super happy.

I want a translation for that Japanese trailer. In English, at the end, Sephiroth says “you know I killed her. So, who is ‘she’?” But in the Japanese at that same point, you can clearly hear him name Tifa.
He says (basically) that “I had already killed Tifa. So then who is that?” So…Tifa is killed in this timeline??😮 It’s weird they left her name out of the English version, maybe to be more vague?

Like, I imagine Cloud is getting shattered pieces of memories from the original timeline, and he can’t piece together *who* he’s mourning in the images he’s seeing. So Sephiroth is saying “it’s Tifa lol” to fuck with his head and put him off his game.
Been thinking and I could see them not wanting to make the player break away from Cloud to play solely as Zack during the Zack timeline segments. We may get Cloud, Zack, Jessie, Wedge, & Biggs as the party for the alternate timeline?
@@thedarkderp2520 Maybe but I think the entire game is just two discs and you’ll probably cut between the timelines at certain events across both discs. I dunno how I’d like it if they split the timeline stuff into separate discs, but it depends on how it’s handled. I hope we get an interview soon and they discuss this a little more. For the whole game to take up 2 discs makes sense. The original is a huge game and they made the Midgar section into a whole 40 hr game - when in the original it’s only 6 hrs of a much larger game. They still have a ton left to cover, and still a 3rd game on the way.
Cloud would still be in a semi vegetable state in that timeline though, also, there is all the Turks who would be on Zack's side. Kunsel could be their intel guy as well. With the main party being dead, we could have other characters join Zack's party as well.
Its possible that the team met up earlier without cloud and almost made it out of the shinra building when the tornado came … just as cloud and zack were coming in … now theyre dead and only cloud and zack are alive which is why we see zack come in to the residents crying
NOT PICTURED: -During the show, a hidden video is uploaded to the Final Fantasy TH-cam channel. Everyone freaks out. Then we see a trailer for EverCrisis, and everyone calms down. -Right after the Ever Crisis reveal, Geoff said "Speaking of Final Fantasy" and the crowd GASPED. He then said "no no guys" and launched into a DoorDash promo where you can win FF7 swag, and everyone laughed. It all built to this perfect ending.
Seeing those four on stretchers at the beginning make me think it’s after that scene where the plot ghosts protect them from that crash on the highway in the first game. Except in this reality, they weren’t protected.

The tornado could refer to the Whisper tornado at the end of Remake…. but what about Story of the Ancients scene in Remake? The one where Barret, Tifa and Cloud are in the simulation room If you remember that scene from Remake, you'll also remember the simulation room glitched and showed Midgar being destroyed by several orange "tornadoes" (essentially the end of FF7 OG). Soon after, Cloud turns around and sees Barret and Tifa dead. What do we see in the new Rebirth trailer? Barret and Tifa in gurneys supposedly dead. The news clip in the Rebirth trailer could be the aftermath of this glitched scene from Remake. My theory is that in the simulation room in Remake, Sephiroth actually showed Cloud Zack's timeline when "tornadoes swept through sector 0, 1 and 2."
I definitely think your on to something But I find it real interesting that after they show all the bodies they cut to the glitching feather right before the final fight in remake I wonder if when they went through that portal thats what cause these versions to die
@8:52 When Aerith is calling for Tifa to join in on the dualtech style attack, and the party is them and Cloud, you can see Barrett in the background start shooting at something. It'll be interesting to see if there is an active PHS system that allows other characters to swap in since they are present during the combat sequence.

Honestly it's wild, a modern game, on the PS5, needs 2 discs? It has to be massive. The last multi disc game I played was Star Ocean 4 on the 360.
That also mean that the Digital version is gonna be MASSIVE. Like you might have to have it be the only game in your library to have enough space for it.

I subscribed to this channel just because of the sheer joy that FFVII gives to Max. I know the feeling all too well so it's entertaining for me to see someone share the same kind of passion,
Being able to vicariously play FF7 so passionately through someone who is so infatuated with the game is truly special. Max's FF7 playthroughs are some of the best pieces of content ever produced by him solely because of his knowledge and love for the games. Whenever im sick or sad ill go watch anything FF7 related and feel so elated that someone can be so happy and love the game, himself, and the community around it so much.

My favorite thing is that Max has built his entire career around the FGC and fighting games, built one of the best fighting game channels on youtube and twitch, the best Street Fighter possibly *ever* just came out, and the happiest I've ever seen Max is when watching a trailer for an RPG. His infectious hype got me to bite on FF7R and I didn't regret a second of it.
I think the entire gaming community is connected by FF7. Some may love it more than other, but everyone is at least familiar with it.
I'm pretty sure I found Max through his FF7-related content, and I love coming to see his reactions to everything new coming out about this Remake trilogy. That said, his fighting game content is equally fantastic, so whenever I (someone who isn't particularly into fighting games) decide to dabble in one, I come to his channel to watch him discuss the game and see if I can pick up any tricks to improve my skills.
I wanna play ff7r, and I got bored halfway through the original. The combat just looks so hype, like crisis core which is lowkey what carried me through that game 🙃
Max is such a great content creator. Even though I found him through game reveal reactions, it was his personality that made me stay and watch him play games. Also, a fighting game enthusiast' favorite game is an RPG but his future predictions power is also something that can't be ignored. It's truly the power of having 99+ insights.

I wonder if Sephiroth was talking about Tifa like the trailer shows, or if he was talking about Aerith? I love that the fact that this whole new Remake series being a sequel is something that Sephiroth, Aerith, and Cloud may finally start talking about normally. Also Max was spot on about which character would know what's going on lol.
Edit: I see now, Sephiroth was taking about Tifa based on the Japanese trailer. Thanks for informing me guys! Hopefully this clears up any confusion for others too.

Considering the Japanese version of the trailer during that section has Sephiroth straight up say that he killed Tifa, I'd say the former.
My interpretation is that, because Tifa is going to be vocalizing her doubts in Cloud’s story earlier, Sephiroth will be intrusively making Cloud distrustful of Tifa, giving the “true” story of what happened in Nibelheim a he said/she said quality. It preserves the tension of what really happened for new players, gives Tifa permission to be smart, and gives Cloud a believable reason to not be listening to Tifa if she challenges his recollection. He doesn’t know why she’s not dead, she doesn’t know why he knows all this.
Wow. So he straight up killed Tifa. Damn.

Yuffie's reaction to Sephiroth appearing in that violet hue implies that Sephiroth's new powers are related to Stagnant Mako. That is why Yuffie freaked out so much.
Yuffie recognized the violet energy as the same Stagnant spirit energy that Nero used. So it looks like Sephiroth has learned how to ustilize the Stagnant Lifestream, which is made of sould that have refused to become part of the normal flow of the Lifestream.
I think that part is actually where Yuffie steals the material from Cloud 🤫
If you think about that only Sephiroth and Nero has slitted cat-eyes in the entire game and the signatures of their powers are highly similar, it is highly possible that you are right.

In the combat cut outside Junon where they are showing off RED XIII's combat, the party consists of Cloud, Barret, and Red. If you pause, you can see Tifa sitting outside the battle about 20 yards, so I'm expecting party swaps now too, while in mid battle like FF10.

Theory: the Cloud we see at 4:02 is from the Zack timeline, we know because of events he should still be "sick" there which would let Jenova control him much easier, would not be shocked if they go this route
@@RicochetForce It also gives a great goal for Zack on top of it for his story, to find Cloud, maybe even as a final boss for him?
I think it's also tied to the beginning of the trailer. They all died in Zacks timeline cause Cloud wasn't there, notice how they didn't show Clouds body being hauled away. My thought is Zack lived and Cloud never got better in that timeline and eventually left for the reunion forcing Zack to search for him so Avalance never had Cloud or Zack join them and they ended up dieing because of the singularity at the end of remake.
Its kind of a given, its also possible that the explosion of the Whispers didnt just split the timeline but pushed Zack and Cloud from that branch foward in time given that
A. Zack doesnt find Aerith in the church and people are taking refuge as if after a incident.
B. The news info at the start of the trailer doesnt have Cloud in it. Maybe the trailer cut off before showing him or for all we know it could also be Shinra propaganda to say that the cause of the destruction was neutralized.
But this trailer definetly confirmed that Zack will be a key player in this and the finale of the trilogy

Max’s hype and love for FF7 is so damn infectious that it actually made me play the original before Remake came out and I became such a big fan! I’m obsessed with FF7 OG and Remake, they’re both some of my favorite games of all time thanks to Max. I even went and played/beat FF9 because my interest in Final Fantasy kept growing. My hype is growing everyday since I finished Remake.

I kinda envy you I didn't played the og when it came out, and I played on pc years later but the game was bugged(pirate version since I lived in cuba back then)so I couldn't finish it. I don't have that nostalgia for the game but I'm inlove with this new one.
Man, just wish I liked the remake at all. Honestly hated a lot of the changes and I hate the combat to boot. It's just not great. I would hope Rebirth would fix a lot of those issues, but I seriously doubt it.
I played Crisis Core blind (no knowledge of anything FF7) and got emotionally punched in the gut for it.

You hate the changes because you either haven’t realized it’s actually a sequel or you simply don’t want a sequel. These games are basically FF7-2 while hitting the beats of a remake.

FFVII means so much to me as somebody who played it at launch when it came out in 1997 as a 16 year old. Clearly means just as much and more to those making the remake too.. an amazing treat

Ya know, with all the remakes, sequels etc these days failing and never living up to what they should… i’m just so glad they didnt rush this game. If there was one remake in my life i didnt want them to ruin, it was this, and thus far… they’ve delivered.

As someone who is still super new to Final Fantasy (playing 9 rn and its so charming), this is really cool to see just how much love care and passion that is clearly going into this. Im definitely going to play the og FF7 first but its going to be cool to see where the journey takes these characters.
When I was a kid, I really disliked 9 and thought it was too kiddy, but as an adult where every day feels like a grimdark adventure, FF9 really put the Fantasy back in it for me.

I honestly don't think the party is dead in Zack's timeline - perhaps critically injured, and ShinRa is collecting them to do nefarious testing because you KNOW Hojo has a vested interest in them after they all survived his trials in Remake.

When I saw the trailer with Max, I have massive goosebumps and in awe by the amount of sheer contents that the games gonna have and also the fact that it comes with two disc really makes it even more awesome.

FF7 Remake came with 2 discs too. It could just be a data disc and a play disc. But nonethless, still massive.

However, you also have to keep in mind that PS4 compression was way worse than PS5 compression. When you look at the file sizes of a PS4 app compared to its PS5 app of the same game, the PS5 version is always about 30% smaller despite looking better. (Part of that is also that there is no need for data redundancy on a game specifically baked for SSDs)

I think for cloud in zacks timeline, it might be when we see him in the robes saying “reunion”. Without tifa helping cloud and the death of zack not propelling cloud for his story, he might now actually just be another sephiroth clone
That's my exact theory so far. Especially since we don't see Clouds body at the beginning of the trailer. I also want to put forth the reason Zack didn't go straight to Aerith because Cloud never got better and left for the Reunion. Zack would obviously go looking for him, taking him out of the action. Which in turn would end up getting them all killed. Although I wonder if the Sigularity Killed them or maybe they Died fighting a version of Sephiroth since they didn't have Cloud/Zack there to help. Or were they just a casualty of the Singularity causing Tornandos when our Group destroyed the whispers.

It also doesn't make sense that she would even meat Avalanche without Cloud, Cloud is the one that falls down onto her flowers and meets her and then brings her to Section 7 and introduces her to Avalanche.
Red X makes sense because they meet him when they invade Shrina Tower which is more plausible that they would end up going there even without cloud at some point.

In the trailer for the 25th anniversary Tifa said "are You saying that I died, that I'm an impostor". They're hinting at It in both trailers. Also, could there be a connection between the Eagle that flies at the beginning of remake and in the final scene of Intergrade and Zack saying "those wings, I want them too" when he died?. I like to think in that timeline even as a spirit he's still watching the main characters of the story

My theory is that Sephiroth is trying to prevent Cloud and Tifa’s lifestream trip. If the two are at odds with each other then she never gets to recover him and Cloud is lost forever, not able to fight Sephiroth.

Last year’s trailer where Tifa accused Cloud of thinking she’s an imposter, this trailer having the Whisper glitch after the Kalm INN scene, and Sephiroth’s comment about her dying as she gets sliced. Too much about the two of them doubting each other for it to be a coincidence.

Yuffie is terrified of Jenova 🥺 Nero totally screwed her up. Intermission hinted at Wutai changing a ton but there's a whole other dimension to her character with this. I couldn't be happier with how big a revamp her story is getting and I expect the same for Cid, Vincent and Cait Sith the story is going to be so rich.

I thought I might have been the only one that thought the ending of the Midgar section was the end of original Final Fantasy 7 and then had my mind blown when the open world area was revealed. Memories of 1997!

As far as I remember, in the post credits sequence with zack, they walk “past” the main party from the game. And it feels like it’s in a “different time/timeline/space” but in the same location. So yeah, I think that’s the case. They will probably meet up as Sephiroth has in the first game. Probably have a cloud meeting cloud moment. Or maybe he dies in zack’s timeline and then they have the emotional reunion as their friend died in each of their original timelines
Watch the game need 2 discs, because 1 disc is clouds journey and the other disc is Zacks. It's extreme hopium, but it would be epic

Back when they made the ps3 tech demo that same night I had a dream of me playing what I imagined Final Fantasy Remake would look and play like and this is not far off, however it was a part that hasn't been shown or even barely spoken about, I was piloting the highwind, chasing the Ultima Weapon through the valleys of Cosmo Canyon, all in a cool action sequence with the Weapon Raid theme playing.
If this comes true then I will be super happy.

His first reaction and being speechless and then analyzing everything was great, especially when the Dual Techs were revealed! Max and NicoB’s hype reactions to FF7R got me invested in the Remake and I’m so excited to experience Rebirth with everyone!

In English, at the end, Sephiroth says “you know I killed her. So, who is ‘she’?”
But in the Japanese at that same point, you can clearly hear him name Tifa.
Because english are fake. And japanese script are the true one forever.
He says (basically) that “I had already killed Tifa. So then who is that?”
So…Tifa is killed in this timeline??😮

Been thinking and I could see them not wanting to make the player break away from Cloud to play solely as Zack during the Zack timeline segments. We may get Cloud, Zack, Jessie, Wedge, & Biggs as the party for the alternate timeline?
Cloud might be disc 1 and Zack might be disc 2
@@thedarkderp2520 Maybe but I think the entire game is just two discs and you’ll probably cut between the timelines at certain events across both discs. I dunno how I’d like it if they split the timeline stuff into separate discs, but it depends on how it’s handled. I hope we get an interview soon and they discuss this a little more. For the whole game to take up 2 discs makes sense. The original is a huge game and they made the Midgar section into a whole 40 hr game - when in the original it’s only 6 hrs of a much larger game. They still have a ton left to cover, and still a 3rd game on the way.
Cloud would still be in a semi vegetable state in that timeline though, also, there is all the Turks who would be on Zack's side. Kunsel could be their intel guy as well. With the main party being dead, we could have other characters join Zack's party as well.
Its possible that the team met up earlier without cloud and almost made it out of the shinra building when the tornado came … just as cloud and zack were coming in … now theyre dead and only cloud and zack are alive which is why we see zack come in to the residents crying
@@gozogo1233 Yeah he’s still in a comatose state but I think they’ll figure out a way to heal Cloud in the Zack timeline.

-Right after the Ever Crisis reveal, Geoff said "Speaking of Final Fantasy" and the crowd GASPED. He then said "no no guys" and launched into a DoorDash promo where you can win FF7 swag, and everyone laughed.
It all built to this perfect ending.

Seeing those four on stretchers at the beginning make me think it’s after that scene where the plot ghosts protect them from that crash on the highway in the first game. Except in this reality, they weren’t protected.

The tornado could refer to the Whisper tornado at the end of Remake…. but what about Story of the Ancients scene in Remake? The one where Barret, Tifa and Cloud are in the simulation room
If you remember that scene from Remake, you'll also remember the simulation room glitched and showed Midgar being destroyed by several orange "tornadoes" (essentially the end of FF7 OG). Soon after, Cloud turns around and sees Barret and Tifa dead. What do we see in the new Rebirth trailer? Barret and Tifa in gurneys supposedly dead.
The news clip in the Rebirth trailer could be the aftermath of this glitched scene from Remake.
My theory is that in the simulation room in Remake, Sephiroth actually showed Cloud Zack's timeline when "tornadoes swept through sector 0, 1 and 2."
I definitely think your on to something But I find it real interesting that after they show all the bodies they cut to the glitching feather right before the final fight in remake I wonder if when they went through that portal thats what cause these versions to die

@8:52 When Aerith is calling for Tifa to join in on the dualtech style attack, and the party is them and Cloud, you can see Barrett in the background start shooting at something. It'll be interesting to see if there is an active PHS system that allows other characters to swap in since they are present during the combat sequence.
