@@pegcheng2244 The same reasons why FF7 coming on 3 discs in 1997 implied a 'massive adventure' to audiences. In reality it's basically just a lot of data, so nobody should expect the game to last as long as Persona 5 Royal, etc...FF7Remake on PS4 came on 2 discs, one of them being for installation, and the title was ~35 hours.

@@pegcheng2244 you don't get it? which means FF7 Rebirth will be massive in terms of overall content data with a whopping 200GB of total which PS5 Bluray discs can hold up to 100GB, even RDR2 has 2 discs but PS4 Bluray had 50GB.
In the best way possible, it gave me the same vibes as when they popped off hard with the Castlevania Advance Collection.

I'm eagerly awaiting Vincent and Cid Gameplay. Vincent could be a permanent staple of my team, and Cid could have fun Dragoon combat. If they can make Cait Sith fun to play, that'd also be cool.

@@hoaaaaaaaaable During gameplay you can see Aerith on the field but not in the party. The speculation is that you can swap characters in and out of the party mid combat.

I absolutely love their choice of action music for this trailer. The Valkyrie theme from Remake. A random machine boss with an incredible tune that can stand with the classics of the original game.
The song was hideously underutilized in the first game. Probably my favourite track, though almost any track in the entire game is 10/10 quite frankly. I'm so happy it's going to be returning, I'd be happy for it to be the main theme for Rebirth.

@@marca4585 I always remind myself. His video back in 2015 when FF7R motivated the team when things went wrong. And it's just so beautiful knowing that. That's why I respect Max so much. He did a lot for the FF7 Community and Devs. It's why when I feel like they're gonna announce something FF7 Related, I wanna see Max's reaction first. I just appreciate him a lot. Can't wait for when he replays the OG FF7 again. And his Rebirth playthrough.

I couldn't imagine being more hype to Rebirth than I was for Remake in 2019...but this trailer changed that. First PS5 game to be on 2 discs also, this game is gonna be so massive!

Possibly an alternate time line with zack. Also note that the vision with the party getting picked up in helicoptors could be the altnerate time line as well. The one with the helicoptors could be jenova or sephiroth messing with clouds head

Yea. PlayStation 5 game discs can hold up to 100 GB of data, in contrast to PlayStation 4 games which usually came on dual-layer standard Blu-ray discs capable of holding up to 50 GB. This gona be a beefy boy of an install then

"2 discs long" don't be surprised if it's a play disc and a data install disc. Just like ff7 remake. Game will be big regardless im sure. But disc quantity doesn't always correlate with game length. Good Graphics and FMVs fill up data too

I’m so excited for the second part of the Final Fantasy y7 remake part 2. We actually know it’s been 7 years since Cloud and Antifa last saw each other. I truly hope they do not kill Aerith off in this version of the game, that is one of the hardest scenes to watch still to date. Even when you know it’s going to happen. I wonder if you’ll still have to get Yuffie and Vincent in the same manner as the original game and if the chocobo side quest is still in it. I wonder if they’ll keep the chocobo stamina trick in the races as well.

It's crazy how everyone is hyped about "2 discs" but nobody brought up the first part releasing on 2 discs, one of them being an install disc. I'm sure Rebirth will be massive but don't be surprised if this is just PR text we'll forget about next winter.
Remake PS4 disk were only up to 50gb each as per console spec
PS5 only 2 disks is 100GB each, game is much larger on size

@@kingofthesharks ah, but PS5 memory usage is much more efficient that PS4 was as well. The SSD in the PS5 allows them to almost eliminate the duplicate code earlier generations required so that textures and the like could load in a timely manner. It is why PS5 installs are generally smaller than ported versions.

Pretty much. The 1st disk will very likely be the Data Disk while the second one will be the Play Disk just like in FF7 Remake. I would be very surprised if Rebirth ends up being big enough to actually need to two disks.

Those nostalgia goggles are cutting off the circulation to your brain. Instead of going into this with an open mind and a fresh amount of concern or skepticism, you've already decided that this thing is bad. You'll buy the game, play it, and list off all the reasons why it sucks. This confirmation bias distorts your ability to perceive things objectively. Those with a healthier relationship to nostalgia will be able to point out the things where the newer version has actually improved over the original. They may also list off what the original did better while giving their reasons into why that is and offering solutions that are well founded. This is, of course, after they've had the time to *play* the game.

Why is everyone going off on it being on 2 discs? Did y'all forget that FF7 Remake is on 2 discs? The install disc and the play disc. And they tried to make a big deal out of it then, too. It's just an install disc, it's not like the game is twice as long or twice as big.

They never advertised the first game being on 2 discs. The fact that they are advertising the fact now suggest the full game is large and on 2 discs. Meaning good for game preservation.

2 discs can mean a lot of things, the only negative one could be bad compression, that's why people get happy about it, every other reason is positive, higher quality and more varied textures, a meatier game, the entire game being on the discs rather than on one disc plus a big required download (we still get smaller updates and dlc of course, that's a different thing)

This not even a remake anymore its a different game or sequel like FF-X, FF IX Reverent Wings, and FFXIII with its sequels. next thing the director changed the story, changed character designs *cough*TIFA*cough* and now are releasing another game that doesnt even being to approach the legacy of the PSX game. If you are going to release a sequel just say so, if it is going to be a remake just let it be a remake. Everything about this game is off cliff crash from TOP to BOTTOM.
