Great video! You inspired me over a year ago to move my operational activities to LowSec. Originally I came to mine and crab pirates, but swiftly learned low level and small gang PVP, and have focused on becoming the most skilled and seasoned sub-capital pilot I can be! No carriers or dreadnoughts or titan bashing for me! Every log in provides fresh and lucrative content, and keeps me energized, sharp, and on the edge of my seat! Thank you for letting me experience a rich and fulfilling Eve Online experience!
Thank you so much Richard! I am really pleased to hear we have helped you enjoy the game so much. I think a dip into low sec can really open a players eyes to the real excitement, adventure and riches the game has to offer even if it is only a transitional stage in their Eve life. o7
Been playing about a year and ventured into lowsec a few times and lost my ships. Spent the rest of my time mission running in highsec and was starting to get bored. So inspired by your good self Ive taken some cheap ships belt ratting in lowsec. Jumped in my ventre to mine some decent ore heard the familiar 'Doof' of a ship warp in but couldnt see it on D scan or overview and boom I was dead to a Huginn! Silly me should have moved of the warp-in doh. So far had several clone soldiers and two Mordu Garmurs. You say "Eveing is Believing" and thanks to you I"m now 'Believing in LowSec Eveing'. Cheers. IGN: Bruce Mekill
What lowsec system do you rat in? I also want to be safe and rat in your lowsec system. Maybe we could keep each other safe in your lowsec system and rat in the same belt. Maybe I can orbit your ship, just so we can keep safe together.
I ran hundreds of Hours with the 22ndBRDef Unit when Fac war initially broke out, and had so much fun in Black Rise low sec. Free wheeling enough to be a PVP wilderness, unpretentious enough to be fun, given the ships being flown and lost.
One of the best things about joining a Low Sec corp has been learning what I can actually get away with as the hunted and how difficult it can be to catch people if they don't want to be caught. It's been great fun, we even visited Seylin the other day via wormhole and nabbed a couple of people mining.
My first few lowsec experiences in EVE online I was dipping my toes in and hunting clone soldiers. I lost a Coercer to an executioner. I was very new and the mate was kind enough to give me the isk back and tons of pointers on how to be safer. IGN Tharmont August
You're very positive person :) It was pleasure to listen and watch your video. Lowsec always frightened me to the point i always avoid completely. Maybe i will give it a try :) Fly safe and cya in space!
Great information on webbing into warp - use it with regularity in quickly moving in bigger ships, but never considered the PVP perspective. Certainly was fortuitous in that encounter!
What I can recommend for the negotiators: warp to the belt, fly to them until you have about 20-15km range, create a bookmark, warp out (store whatever loot you have in your cargo hold). When you warp back in you have reset their timer until the attack you and it's possible to close in on them in the meantime. I was ganked and killed once while fighting a negotiator. The negotiator got my ganker too, which was pretty funny.
Thanks for another informative video. Keep it up! I live in a wormhole these days. Some have a low-sec static. We usually pop out to check....the gas :) And to see if we can catch some locals and reinforce the 'spooky wormhole people' image. Should check the belts next time we're in one. IGN: Mirthaner Visteen
I don't often go to low, but I took a venture into a 0.4 a couple of days back to try to get some kernite for a storyline mission. No kernite in a 0.4 obviously, but found a shadow serpentis frigate on the first belt. Ground through him with a couple of hob I's and he dropped a mid-grade snake omega. 415M isk worth. Figured I could afford to buy the kernite after that 😁.
I used to mine in low sec until I afforded my first prophecy. Took it out to rat in low and got taken out almost immediately by a legion. Haven’t been back since moving to anoikis but it’s looking like a fun time now that I know more about the game! IGN: Celica Vermillion
Great video as always, love that you're back in low sec. one the the stupidest things I've ever done is when I was heading home after a low sec expedition in my thrasher. I had 100mil in loot onboard, it was mostly some drone chips I think. I was running site on my way out, in the last low sec system before I was safe, I was running a refuge and got killed and podded by a Loki. I was pretty mad for the next hour that I was that dumb but whatever. IGN:Tension Travis
It can be tempting to go for 'one more hit' on the way out for sure. That is one of the advantages of getting into hull and almost melting your weapons, you have to dock NOW!! Skin code sent mate, fly brave! o7
Back when I first tried LS ratting, I happened to find a dread guristas frigate in my first belt... It dropped a mid-grade something worth 100m. I was the happiest week-old toon in EVE that day :D ign: Delihria

o7 Dad Dex, love how a VNI had to come to scare away a Venture. I personally love PVPing in a Venture because they have that sweet +2 warp core strength meaning I can get out of fights I can't handle. I love the Hecate too, I have been flying it around in Null a little and did some missions in it until I was ganked! The Hecate is a great ship because you can get mad DPS, another great thing about this beautiful ship is you can fit Expanded Probe launchers with ease. Thanks for the great content, please keep it up :) IGN: Jamal Enzo
Watching your videos is what convinced me that I was leaving ISK on the table by not going into LOW SEC. Ratting and PI was were the money started coming in. Then I moved to Exploration because I like the suspense to be honest. Your video isn't more than 5 or 6 jumps from where I set up which made me want to head your way. Just to see your gamer tag in local and say hi. BUT I don't want to end up as food on one of your videos so, nope.... The ratting is normally good but I had a few bad experiences. Mainly because I didn't follow your golden rule of keeping the cargo hold empty as you move. Those were frustrating lessons which were costly in the loot losses. What are your thoughts about setting up in between two trade hubs to maximize sales and shorten travel time??? My concern is I can't be the only one to think of it and I don't want to go to an area and have too much competition/ PvPers hounding me. Basically how do you gauge when to move and where to set up camp? IGN: Airistin Northgate
It's funny... I have an alt I use to "try stuff", and about 2 weeks ago I moved into low sec to mess around. I make almost as much isk with him as I make with my Lvl 4 mission alt, and it's way more fun. I was doing the cheap dessy or cruiser thing, but I had a Svipul nearby and decided to bring that in... and for some reason, nobody messes with it. They will come after my Vexor or Thrasher, but they never seem to mess with the Svipul. It's not much faster than the Thrasher because in Amarr space I have to use Republic Fleet EMP, but it has a HUGE shield buffer for a destroyer, and I haven't seen it below 50%. It's paid for itself over the last couple of days though, probably time to go pick a fight and see if it earns a kill mark or becomes one for someone else..
I didn't make a lasting stay in low sec in regards to ratting and mining, yet your low sec videos are usually my favorites. I still have some PI going in Otou, one jump from Hek, but that is about as far as I go for now. I'm thinking about using one of my alpha for FW when that update comes out, that's something I would like to try out. Will see. IGN: Suki Vokkonen
IGN: Marcus Soletta, you got me into low sec running, I can't yet go after the negotiator rats, but I get tags, I lost 2 Cruor's in less than a week hunting Clone solders but it's just too much fun.
