RE-UPLOAD ALERT: Hi friends! This is a compilation of the entire Dungeon Design in Zelda series for Twilight Princess. The first episode of which was uploaded back in October of 2021. So, yeah you may have seen this stuff before. There is definitely a little too much focus walking through the individual rooms in sequence in hindsight, but I still think these are some worthwhile videos to have tackled. Hopefully you find some enjoyment in revisiting these classic dungeons. Enjoyyyy! I appreciate you. Edit: hey all, I just want to state that I am aware of Zelda’s aim in the final battle actually being dictated by player input. This is a compilation video, which I made no major edits to when reuploading, but it was brought to my attention when I uploaded the original Hyrule Castle video. So don’t worry, I know. My complaint still stands however, or rather it shifts to an adjacent complaint. The issue is no longer that her aim is bad, but rather that there isn’t anything in the game to ever indicate that you have to aim for her while also controlling the horse. So from that standpoint it is still an issue, just not exactly the same issue I highlight during the video. Worth a mention, but during Wind Waker’s final battle Tetra aims independently for example, so it isn’t a stretch to assume Zelda would do the same here. Regardless, thanks for watching still and thanks to everyone who left a comment about that. It’s right at the end of the video, so I appreciate greatly that you watched that far! Cheers!
1:27:55 it was probably because SS had a rope swinging mechanic and they didn't want to intergrate that with clawshots so they decided to remove the chain extending and retracting to lower yourself altogether.
People give Twilight Princess’ “chores” intro such a bad time, but I personally love it. The calm, somewhat monotonous opening ends up being contrasted beautifully with the chaos that follows. Not only this, but spending time with the villagers and the kids makes losing them actually feel like a real problem. The attacks aren’t just on some nameless villagers that you just met two seconds ago, it’s on people that you’ve now met and spent time getting to know. I will say that the stealth section while you collect items is a bit long and boring, but the rest of the intro feels very well designed
exactly!! twilight princess is my favorite zelda and the first act is definitely why, ordon village is so fleshed out and feels so real!! although admittedly, im a sucker for slice-of-life style storytelling so that makes me very biased X3 i always spend as much time as possible poking around ordon on my replays bc i love it so much hehe
Yes!! i love it so much. The fishing mechanics had me stuck for days as a child. those mechanics are novel in the fantasy adventure action genre of Zelda, its so idyllic and sweet.
I think it just needed to be polished a bit. For instance, start it up after Link is done work to skip goat herding and make it an optional minigame later, replace the slingshot tutorial with a toy one of the kids got stuck in a tree you have to knock down, and replace the sword tutorial with a spar against Rusl the kids watch. It would have the same effect, with less hand-holding and tedious parts.
The contrast you mention definitely had its effect on me as a kid. When I first reached the part where you need to follow the monkey into Faron and save Talo, I didn't want to leave Ordon, and was even afraid to
Sure for a 1st time it's nice, but now for the replays especially if it's immediate, I just want to get on to the good parts as they're throwing tons of text boxes into my face tutorializing stuff I already know by now
i absolutely LOVE how you dont JUST analyze the dungeons in an objective sense. You give us the story, lore, theories, and background to it, you tell us the follow up and how we got here and not just a Direct literary analysis. It feels less like an essay analyzing it design, and more like an appreciation of the game itself by a fan.
Regarding the Ganon fight, the only other time we can stop an animal in its track and throw it to the side is... a goat, in Ordon village, before getting the Iron boots. So, actually, they managed to use those damn goats to train you/foreshadow a phase of the final battle. You gotta admire the dedication!
In speaking about that, YOU HAVE 2 WAYS TO STOP GANON! I always switched to wolf link and used sense to have an easier time catching him but apparently you can don the IRON BOOTS AND JUST SQUARE UP.
I always loved how long it took to get to the dungeons. It wasn't just "Oh, walk in and start the dungeon-ing." These are ancient, oft sealed temples that require you to find your way in over the course of a decent sized quest in the overworld. It does aid in the world building a lot, and it also helps to build up suspense for the player as they work their way into a dungeon. Some were a bit longer than they needed to be, but overall I'd say it was great.
@@harrynevarez5361 Why? Zelda is the princess of Hyrule and has a connection with the light and Midna is the same but with the twilight. Or is just a headcanon?
@@trinidadguichard7188I just assumed the princess in the title was obviously Zelda, and "twilight" was just a poetical phrase referring to Zelda ruling during the twilight crisis (and also perhaps during the twilight of the kingdom if we don't save it). The idea that Midna was a princess blew my damn mind
@@EbonAvatar I mean that's certainly the way it's laid out to be understood, at least, the way I understand it. The game is called Twilight Princess and Zelda is at first displayed as the ruler that let her kingdom get consumed by the literal twilight, which certainly can be taken to mean that she is the Twilight Princess, yet in my opinion the poetic part only truly comes in with the character arc of Midna, as even if you only realize in retrospect, up to the ending, Midna has been the Princess that "ran" if you will, which, while intended to give her the chance to fight another day, isn't a traditionally kingly thing to do, only by the end she truly does retake the place and role of a royal, the "true" Princess of Twilight, as she now retakes her rightful place ruling over what's supposed to, or rather condemned to be the realm of twilight, and separating the connection with Hyrule for good. So I don't think either reprising the role for a time would mean the other couldn't also be.
I just realized Yeto wears a saddle as a hat... its been 16 years and i never realized this... i'm not mad though because it's such a charming detail and he looks great lol
There was a part of me that was wondering if these dungeons wouldn't hold up. But no, watching this just reaffirmed that yes, this game has the best dungeons in the series. It has Arbiters Grounds, Snow Peak and the rest hold up too.
“Southern” is debatable because it’s fully my accent. “Foyer” though. That is the correct pronunciation. Also don’t do it, you won’t make it to the end of the video 😭😭
@@CaptBurgerson funny, because I (a non native English speaker) was once corrected by an American when pronouncing southern this way. I feel vindicated now.
Honestly Twilight Princess has always been and always will be my favorite Zelda game even with the beginning game chore stuff and the much disliked mandatory wolf segments (which I actually like for similar reasons stated in this video). One of my favorite things is the callbacks to previous games like The Temple of Time being a whole dungeon, all the musical remixes, and dungeon mechanics like The Arbiter's Grounds Spirits being an advancement of OOT's Forest Temple Spirits, stealing the main room's Puzzle Flames and requiring the now controllable Wolf Form Transformation to track them down more steadily and ripping them a new one with your Wolf Fangs (by the way against Poes and such I love how violently you RIP AND TEAR their Souls out, it's so cool)
Fun Fact: Snowpeak Ruins doesn't drop any hearts. The only way to heal there, is to use the soup. At least until the Boss fight, which has my favorite soundtrack out of all Zelda bosses. And for the Temple of Time, it is very probable that the rest of the Temple was built after the events of Ocarina of Time. OOccoo's people seem to have had a... hand? in making the automatons, which means they could have met the Hylians and assisted in creating a challenge instead of just letting anybody waltz through the front door, as happened in OoT. Just my theory. The Rupees you find just before fighting Gannondorf were likely put there for the Magic armor. Which makes you basically invincible, but cost Rupees to wear and take damage.
i think the reason for this was because of the amount of criticism they got on wind waker for the cartoonish feel. i just love that the devs took that criticism and went so far with the "ugly realism" in tp
@@1r0zz This is my favorite Zelda game, but I had the same question tbh. All of the characters-beautiful or ugly-have extremely cartoony faces, and many of the 3D models have not aged well. However, I believe the realism is in the realistic proportion and variety of the human bodies, natural colors/textures of the environment, and some animals (i.e. Epona, fish). As opposed to the chibi human figures and vibrant, solid colors in Wind Waker.
@@hhheavennn personally i think the game is so stylised that it is somewhat ageless (texture are an exception, in a certain pow). And yes, compared to windwaker chibi and cellshaded design it is “more realistic”, but even then it is nowhere “realistic”… It’s like saying super mario odyssey or galaxy are realistic because they have not-cell shaded materials.
I wish the spinner was like the boomerang and had the spirit of rotation residing within it. Then it could allow you to rotate the day/night cycle. It would make the item so much better, while giving the player a very necessary ability at the perfect time in the game.
44:49 My guess is that these rooms are Sumo rings, akin to the one we just fought in to enter the dungeon due to the circular platform and marks in the center, maybe during development you were supposed to fight the elders before they gave you the key, but it might've been cut down because it was too slow or repetitive. I don't know if anyone pointed it out in the original video or in this comment section already but more comments for the algorithm can't hurt.
I've often thought this. I get how it would have hurt pacing but its a shame because the sumo wreslting gameplay is good fun and I wish it was utalised more!
@@jockturner1547 You can remove the pacing issues by turning it into an optional minigame you can play for some extra rewards. Damn, now I wish they did that.
Even if there was cut content for those rooms, I like that they've kept the sumo rings there. It serves as a really nice lore detail, that sumo wrestling is such a big part of goron culture that most break rooms/patriarch rooms have a ring.
Oh hell yeah. Im gonna be sleeping good the next few nights. I love these deep dives to relax my brain. Thank you for making such relaxing content of one of my favorite series!
38:47 This “sword was stolen but you can use it since you recovered it” dialog can be triggered before even going into the forest temple if you made your way back to Ordon after Faron woods was freed of twilight. In fact, the same kind of dialog will also be shown for Talo and Malo’s dad, but this time for the shield.
1:34:05 Fun fact: Morpheel phase 2 does not do anything to attack. Dude just swims around. If you reach phase 2 you've already won as long as you don't swim right in front of the circle he swims in.
50:20 an underappreciated fact is that the goron mines is a "fire" dungeon with water puzzles. Cool callback to the first time the Iron Boots were used as a dungeon mechanic in OoT.
I'm glad you mentioned that the Hero's Bow is the same bow Link used in MM. I love how TP has constant callbacks to OoT and MM without them feeling intrusive and just trying to capitalize on nostalgia.
Great video! Twilight Princess has always had this strangely dreamy ambience that I think is still unmatched in the series to this day. I could load it up right now and run over to the lakeside and just... Sit there, contented. Midna was a psyop by Nintendo to get people addicted to shortstack porn.
me, already familiar with all the TP dungeons: *clicks on this video just cuz I like to hear about anything TP* Also, I did not see it was a 5 hour long video until I got the end, like, "What was that 2 hours?" I've been playing TOTK while listening, too. I can't believe I didn't realize how long this video was.
I love how various enemies have multiple ways to kill them, like Dodongos once you have the Bow you can shoot them in the throat when they're charging their Fire Breath and they'll choke to death on the Arrow
you can WHAT I'm gonna have to boot up my HD twilight princess game and try this out, I've NEVER seen this. I always shot them in the tail, not the mouth
@@mykmac2599 Yeah idk how I found out either I think I accidentally missed from the front when aiming for the tail and happened to hit him in the mouth instead or something similar, either way yeah just wait till a Dodongo opens it's mouth and pop it right in the throat before it starts shooting fire
Argorok and Morpheel both feel very inspired by Shadow of the Colossus so them sharing battle music makes a lot of sense. That particular score does a great job of capturing the scale of the boss battles, just like all the music in SotC.
Hi! Hello! Here to talk about the horseback phase of the battle against Ganondorf! The Light Arrows can be aimed. While the game never tells you as much, the direction you point the control stick does aim them! The ghost soldiers can be killed in a single hit. Be sure to spin attack a lot!
Ah yes, I’ve been made aware from several comments now. Thank you still, you’ve certainly put in a lot of time watching to get that far into the video. It would be nice if the game would teach as much about that aiming. There’s nothing to ever indicate as much in the game itself and so in that regard it’s sort of a failure of design since it’s critical for success. Alas Thanks for watching!
@@CaptBurgerson Oh, I'm certainly not calling it "well designed", as it doesn't ever tell you that. I only learned about it recently, and I've put well over 1000 hours into the game in multiple playthroughs. You managed to teach me quite a bit, however! So thanks for the video!
Your passion for games and art is inzane you earned my sub... Thanks so much for doing this and achieving it in a serious way... Saludos desde Colombia!!
The music in the forest temple gives me a little bit of a korok vibe, with the sort of hollow drum sound for some reason! Reminds me a little of the forbidden woods in WW
Personally, I think the Armagohma boss fight in the Temple of Time is a parallel of sort to Link using the Dominion Rod. The actual entity in control of that giant creature (that had a curious stone-like or statue appearance in the body) is the smaller eye-spider. That makes it the first mecha/gundam appearance in the Legend of Zelda series. As an edit for the horseback Zelda fight with Ganondorf, her aim is entirely dependent on the player, it's based off the analog stick's positioning. So, once you know that, you should never miss.
Twilight Princess is and will always be my favourite Zelda game! Love the dungeons and their designs. Also love the long slow intro to the game, makes me feel homey.
This is gonna be random. But the big metal flame spitting pipes in the goron mines could be their way of releasing a a steady stream of flammable gas that is built up somewhere in the mine. Like slowly and carefully letting pressurized air out of a balloon.
I just started replaying this game and it’s been a few years. I have taken the time to observe the scenery of the game more thoughtfully, very well put together game. :) I didn’t think anybody else loved this game enough to make a video this long🎉 Love it! Gonna fall asleep to this tonight 😊 Thanks
I wanna thank you for these videos. I literally followed the child link time line. I was never able to find anybody to talk to in terms the fantastic story, design, spirituality and vibe of all of these temples and dungeons. It’s defined my trait of exploring in my own life. Always admiring beautiful sceneries, buildings, neighborhoods around my city and places I go to. Even imagining myself exploring places on my own, or with another companion. Twilight Princess is number one on my list, nothing is wrong with it in my eyes. From the long intro to the final battle, every second has my attention.
The first time i noticed Link was named Burger was when Midna was dying and for a moment it seemed like she was pleading for a whopper as her final meal
5:11:26 Hey Cap, Zelda's aim is actually based on where you're aiming. Use the the right stick and just point in Ganondorf's general direction and you're fine. If she does miss... Well...
I’ve learned this from other comments, and that’s great to know, but there’s literally nothing in the game to ever indicate as much, so that is a bit unfortunate
@@CaptBurgerson that is a very strong point. I've only recently heard mixed takes on it. I had the opposite experience from her, for example. Her aim was always on point for me, so hearing people saying her aim was bad shocked me. It was a speed runner who explained that to me.
Not sure how I found your videos, but I’m so glad I did! I’ve been letting your videos for the Zelda dungeons play as background noise at work all week and they’ve not only made the days so much better, but also reigniting my love and obsession with the Zelda games to the point I’m going to start replaying them from OoT onwards! Thank you for the hard work and much love from a life long Zelda fanatic ❤️
Another interesting thing with morpheel and argorok is that they dont just share musik and clawshot but they are also opposites in a way seeing as you fight morpheel at the bottom of the lake water tempel after going downwards and argorok in the city in the skies after climbing to the top. and morpheel even starts his fight in the ground while argorok flies above . might be coincidence but still nice contrast
Re: Morpheel and Argorok sharing their theme music, I think it's also notable that each one represents the final step in a particular subplot of the game (the Fused Shadows vs. the Mirror of Twilight). Also, one is fought at the deepest location in the game, and the other at the highest.
Two weeks late, but i must say; Your dungeons analysis videos are always a treat! I enjoy them so much, and the length of this one is spectacular~ Thank you, Burger, for being amazing!
can't imagine the time and work it took to put this out, really long video essays like these are able to keep me productive and going throughout my day with whatever tasks i need to get done. thanks for the awesome video!
There was a video on TH-cam that explained the translations errors that gave us the dark interlopers in name. It turns out they were just a group of people who lived in hyrule who mastered a dark magic, which was the fused shadow. But that means that they could have been made up from a collection of different people who loved in hyrule, which explain the sheikah eye and the gerudo like markings. As both races were skilled in magic to an extent.
These dungeon design videos never fail to hit all the right points- informative, entertaining and keeping my attention, even when doing other things while it plays. Well done. (And these compilations are great for keeping me on track with long tasks.) The chores in this game are something else, for sure. but this still whets my appetite for another play of the game. (Esp since i've recently finished SS).
Man I'm late to the party, but these are some of my favorite videos on the platform. The incredibly detailed but opinion-laden breakdown about my favorite parts of my favorite franchises are absolutely amazing and I WILL watch them over and over. There's something about the dungeons, and seeing them broken down, combining my love of D&D dungeon designing and Zelda dungeon crawling. Honestly glad to have found this.
Just wanna say, I started watching this and then decided that I was going to play again. While watching, I think I started playing around the time you were getting the master sword, and I have been able to get the iron boots! Good shit my guy! Keep it up.
This is marvelously detailed and insightful. I havent seen a breakdown of this caliber on this underrated game, so thank you. Go arbiters grounds and snowpeak!
I have been on a BINGE of your dungeon design videos, I love them so much. As a father of two, I rarely have time for games anymore, and these are so nostalgic and bitter sweet for me. Thank you, I hope to see skyward sword and minish cap dungeon "movies" sometime soon! Subscribed and liked.
Snowpeak Ruins is still one of my favorite dungeon designs in a 3d Zelda game. Great story with the Yeti and the food, and eventually saving his wife at the end. :)
keep in mind the different timelines can lead to differnt utilizations of the same locations. for the forest areas just because one is a temple and the other isnt doesnt mean they arent the same place, it might just mean that in twilight princess they made it a temple because it was just as safe as any other part of the forest with ganon sealed away, only becoming dangerous after his return. whereas with ganon still at large in wind waker it may have been monster infested even before the flood so it just stayed a forbidden forest. also, unimportant, the instrument in the forest temple is a marimba. basically the same type of instrument but xylophones are metal and twinkly sounding while marimbas are woody and full
I tried looking online and further into it, and sources online seem pretty divided on the subject. To my findings it only seems to work after defeating specific enemy types. If you can find the correct input and confirm I’ll be happy to test it and confirm. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! I just watched this and I can feel all the passion you put into this. This game was my introduction to the series as a small kid, and it marked me. As someone who has always loved TP this feels wonderful to watch. I’m excited to see more of your come in the future!
4:45:11 just wanted to say that the most likely reason there are no stairs in this room, is because in a lot of castles from the medieval times had common rooms, for the people of the kingdom to gather for a speech from the ruler without being directly next to the ruler. many times there would be a separate entrance in the castle for those who would go in and out.
Really big shoutout to all the people who are still able to watch this kind of content without having a mental breakdown due to their attention span being exceeded by 318 minutes and 9 seconds... All jokes aside, though, this video has shown me again why this is, and will probably always be, my favorite single-player game of all time. A friend randomly recommended your channel while we were sitting in a Discord call, and I gotta say I'm soooo happy she did. I love this really long type of content that I can listen to while trying to sleep. An absolute banger of a video, keep this up please...
@@CaptBurgerson Hiya, it's me, @IrukaFin's friend, just wanted to chime in and say that I am really enjoying this video and will absolutely make sure that me and my friend here will watch more of your stuff!
about your theory on the temple of time from tp being the tower of the gods from ww, twilight princess and wind waker take place in different timelines, wind waker's being the timeline where there was no hero hence the hero of the winds. in the timeline where there would be no hero, they would be more likely worship the gods in general in hopes of the gods hearing them and giving them a new hero, which would also make sense for why the tower of the gods is a trial of sorts. a tribute to the gods as well as a way to prove and present to them a new hero capable of wielding the master sword for the first time since the hero of time. anyway in the twilight princess timeline, they hero remained and they were able to properly execute ganondorf via the sages when he returned (referenced in the arbiters grounds cutscene) so they would likely expand the temple of time in such a way that commemorates these sages and pays tribute to the legacy of the hero that they still feel the effects of to the time of their building the tp temple of time, unlike that of the wind waker timeline where they suffered due to what would be the absence of the heroes legency and maybe even the sages. TLDR it makes a lot of sense that they would be the exact same building on the exact same location, (tower of the gods is right above hyrule castle in WW which was where the temple of time in OOT was and we know that the temple of time in TP is the same temple of time from OOT so therefore they would all be in the exact same location) except because they are in different timelines they would of course not be entirely similar, the main difference being the deliberate worship of the light sage vs in wind waker, the general worship of their gods. I think your theory would be right
I’m so hype for this! Ive a doctors appointment I’m absolutely terrified for today and this is the perfect distraction (TP is my all time favorite game) ❤
I like King Bulblin, and wish he could have shown up one more time after yielding to Link. Maybe have a moment towards the top where Link runs into a huge wave of minor enemies, then have KB show up to hold them off, saying, "Go. You deserve stronger foes," or something like that.
I'm new to your channel but I have to say I have loved these Dungeon Design compilation videos. Your OoT one was recommended on my homepage, I watched it in one sitting and loved it and then went on to watch your MM and WW compilations too. And I've just finished you cover my favourite Zelda game with this compilation. I love your presentation: critical when you need to be, but not too harshly critical. You always attain a sense of positivity when and where you can - which I think is the best way to criticise something. I also personally love your humour. Honestly, I just love listening to you talk and that's important in these lengthy videos. Overall, as I said, I love the way you present these videos and how your personality shines through - and what a likeable personality it is. And I love the content of the videos, how you balance lore, music, story and the technical progression elements of the dungeon, everything feels weighted just right. A sole focus just on the dungeon progression could - I feel - be dry, but you avoid that by interweaving other aspects such as the music etc. Final point(s): the dungeon music in TP was always a low point for me, even though it's my favourite Zelda game. I was always disappointed by the dungeon themes when compared to those of OoT. But I replayed TP a few years ago and something clicked for me. These dungeons have these intentionally ambient and atmospheric themes because (for me) they represent the fact that you are exploring places which you shouldn't be. That unnerving music in the background which subconsciously bores into your mind as you run around is a constant reminder that you are in a dangerous and unwelcoming place, like a threat always on your periphery. I think the music does such a good job of instilling that feeling in you and so I found a newfound love and respect for the dungeon music after realising that. Also, you note a few times that Koji Kondo was responsible for this soundtrack but he wasn't. Koji Kondo acted as sound supervisor for this game, so he undoubtedly had some input, but the game's composers were Toru Minegishi and Asuka Ohta. I just felt like bringing that fact to light as I feel so many people tie Zelda's music solely to Koji Kondo (and understandly so given his prolific work) but other composers have worked on Zelda games past MM, such as Hajime Wakai and Kenta Nagata for Wind Waker, and I always feel they deserve their recognition too. Anyway, sorry for rambling but I really wanted to leave a comment and praise you for your great work. I look forward to diving into more of your content.
59:35 bro on the old wii version, I deadass remember spending hours and hours and hours on trying to get to that spot. I deadass would try timing the part where the magnet would slightly go over there and getting off at the right time but it never worked and I could never get there and it was the most annoying shit ever
This was my first LoZ game and im so glad you covered it. Thank you it means alot to me and I am glad I am not the only one who shares a love for it. It has my favourite Credits roll as well. Id play that Ganon fight over and over just to rewatch those credits. It brings a tear to my eye with Midna's goodbye to Link as well. Thank you for this. Sorry it took me so long to get through this.
One point from the beginning is that Wind Waker DOES actually remake all the textures too, so realistically I think they both have almost the same level of improvements :) Fantastic video as always!
Using your vids to sleep to atm and its amazing (still listen to your thoughts about the dungeons but your voice is super soothing and the format really good ❤)
I love this stuff, I can't wait to see more! About the final dungeon, Hyrule Castle, having so many torch lighting puzzles and combat, I always thought it was a nod to A Link to The Past, the first time you're in the castle all you have is a torch and sword to get around and finally escape in.
4:21:08 I think that’s either a hammer dulcimer or some synthetic glockenspiel. The tone marches either one but the range of notes is all over the place so it’s hard to tell.
Super happy to have this compilation (even though I've already listened to all of the individual episodes lmao). Twilight Princess will always be my favorite Zelda game!
Can we all take a moment and point out. Ganon dies like a boss. On his feet with a sword impaled into his chest. Sure he maybe the villain and the embodiment of evil. But damn, compared to the other times he has died. He died in a baller way. Defiant to the end. Not even falling over and refusing to fall this time. He will remain standing and no one is going to beat him down. You have to at least respect that a little. Just a little.
The Temple of Time sequence is my favorite in this game. I love the buildup and approach, then it hits you with the nostalgic feels, then the temple itself, though linear, is certainly not boring. I love the ambient tune for it.
I had no idea people did not like the wolf segments. I LOVED them. I am all for playing as animals, so maybe thats just my onion preference. But they were always fun and I was sad when they came to an end
I didn’t even know people didn’t like the wolf link segments they are some of the game’s highlights in my opinion. Some of the tears are a bit annoying after you already done a few but it’s always fun especially when you can switch between hylian and wolf at will
If there ends up being a like. Evil eye god or something, then I might retrospectively appreciate all of the eyes. They're all the same red/yellow/green. Maybe just easy to reuse the skin/model, but would be pretty neat to tie back to a source
I absolutely love this series and makes me want to go back and play twilight princess again. On the gamecube version, my sister was playing and managed to have link stand on a treasure chest that spawned in one of the rooms in the temple of time. It was hilarious but a bit tricky to recreate
RE-UPLOAD ALERT:
Hi friends!
Cheers!

@raphicoco hello! It’s an original song I wrote for these videos!

I think the gap between C.i.t.S. and the Twili palace makes sense. You just quested through 4 whole dungeons to get there after all.

To say they played the long game is an understatement
@@ShiroKage009 They One Piece'd us!
They also use the Goron right before Death Mountain to really drive the point home.
In speaking about that, YOU HAVE 2 WAYS TO STOP GANON! I always switched to wolf link and used sense to have an easier time catching him but apparently you can don the IRON BOOTS AND JUST SQUARE UP.
5 hour long essay on twilight princess? NOT WITHOUT MY WATCH
Midna turning out to be the actual Twilight Princess and not Zelda was a waaay more shocking twist than it should have been. My jaw was on the floor
@@EbonAvatar i like to think both are twilight princesses
@@harrynevarez5361 Why? Zelda is the princess of Hyrule and has a connection with the light and Midna is the same but with the twilight. Or is just a headcanon?
@@trinidadguichard7188I just assumed the princess in the title was obviously Zelda, and "twilight" was just a poetical phrase referring to Zelda ruling during the twilight crisis (and also perhaps during the twilight of the kingdom if we don't save it). The idea that Midna was a princess blew my damn mind
@@EbonAvatar Gotta be honest, that's not a bad idea. Perfectly understandable.

Dude that’s crazy. This video is more than twice the length of the other two. Thank you for making these bruh, I love listening to them.
Take a shot every time captain says “foyer” or “SOUTHern”
“Southern” is debatable because it’s fully my accent.
“Foyer” though. That is the correct pronunciation.
Also don’t do it, you won’t make it to the end of the video 😭😭
@@CaptBurgerson both foyer and foyay are correct, yes
but southern. SOUTHern. You're a monster.
@@ABurntMuffin I am a monster, yes

Thanks for providing long form content on a subject that isn't destroying my good mood
You couldn’t have put this out a day sooner? I JUST binged every episode of this. You bastard man.
And for the record, YES, I WILL WATCH THIS…AGAIN. Because I’m an addict for this shit.
This was my plan all along
*laughs in evil*
Same bro. I was on the Palace of Twilight when he uploaded. Bro's a legend (of Zelda) lol.
TP link has a beast of a stomach being able to drink unrefined Chu jelly for healz like that.
Life on the farm has given this man a certain kind of hardiness
In all honesty, I love how bizarre/'ugly' the character design got in Twilight Princess. It was really bold and served the theme well.
i think the reason for this was because of the amount of criticism they got on wind waker for the cartoonish feel. i just love that the devs took that criticism and went so far with the "ugly realism" in tp
@@arikins_ Fair, though I don’t find it ugly at all!
@@arikins_
Where is the “realism” part?
And yes, compared to windwaker chibi and cellshaded design it is “more realistic”, but even then it is nowhere “realistic”…
It’s like saying super mario odyssey or galaxy are realistic because they have not-cell shaded materials.
I was literally watching the Lakebed Temple vid in the playlist when this dropped I am so happy
Great video! Twilight Princess has always had this strangely dreamy ambience that I think is still unmatched in the series to this day. I could load it up right now and run over to the lakeside and just... Sit there, contented.
Midna was a psyop by Nintendo to get people addicted to shortstack porn.
I was with you until that last sentence
15k subs is NOT enough. You really deserve more, this content is really good and needs to be seen by more people
me, already familiar with all the TP dungeons: *clicks on this video just cuz I like to hear about anything TP*
Also, I did not see it was a 5 hour long video until I got the end, like, "What was that 2 hours?" I've been playing TOTK while listening, too. I can't believe I didn't realize how long this video was.
I love how various enemies have multiple ways to kill them, like Dodongos once you have the Bow you can shoot them in the throat when they're charging their Fire Breath and they'll choke to death on the Arrow
you can WHAT
I'm gonna have to boot up my HD twilight princess game and try this out, I've NEVER seen this.
Alas
Thanks for watching!
@@CaptBurgerson Oh, I'm certainly not calling it "well designed", as it doesn't ever tell you that. I only learned about it recently, and I've put well over 1000 hours into the game in multiple playthroughs. You managed to teach me quite a bit, however! So thanks for the video!
How Nintendo thought that pushing buttons was better dungeon design than everything twilight princess had to offer is beyond me
Your passion for games and art is inzane you earned my sub...
Still the best Zelda game, even after so many years.
It's very surreal growing up on the Wii's inverted game, seeing this WiiU version is very interesting getting used to lol

Thank you Capt, for taking this suggestion. I have enjoyed TP the more I have played it.
I enjoy them so much, and the length of this one is spectacular~

5 hour Twilight Princess examination!? You got yourself a new subscriber partner! 😮 🤠
Well done. (And these compilations are great for keeping me on track with long tasks.)
The chores in this game are something else, for sure. but this still whets my appetite for another play of the game.
Keep it up.

No worries pretty sure its written in the bible it's fine to love link regardless of your gender 😌
keep in mind the different timelines can lead to differnt utilizations of the same locations. for the forest areas just because one is a temple and the other isnt doesnt mean they arent the same place, it might just mean that in twilight princess they made it a temple because it was just as safe as any other part of the forest with ganon sealed away, only becoming dangerous after his return. whereas with ganon still at large in wind waker it may have been monster infested even before the flood so it just stayed a forbidden forest.
also, unimportant, the instrument in the forest temple is a marimba. basically the same type of instrument but xylophones are metal and twinkly sounding while marimbas are woody and full
6:14 it doesn't even have to be certain enemies only. I don't remember which button or what the timing is but you can do it every time if you want.
I tried looking online and further into it, and sources online seem pretty divided on the subject. To my findings it only seems to work after defeating specific enemy types. If you can find the correct input and confirm I’ll be happy to test it and confirm. Thanks
You could say the lakebed temple is the water temple in its Twilight years....

Already watched every TP dungeon video you've made but you already know I'm gonna be listening to this full thing
4:45:11 just wanted to say that the most likely reason there are no stairs in this room, is because in a lot of castles from the medieval times had common rooms, for the people of the kingdom to gather for a speech from the ruler without being directly next to the ruler. many times there would be a separate entrance in the castle for those who would go in and out.

about your theory on the temple of time from tp being the tower of the gods from ww, twilight princess and wind waker take place in different timelines, wind waker's being the timeline where there was no hero hence the hero of the winds. in the timeline where there would be no hero, they would be more likely worship the gods in general in hopes of the gods hearing them and giving them a new hero, which would also make sense for why the tower of the gods is a trial of sorts. a tribute to the gods as well as a way to prove and present to them a new hero capable of wielding the master sword for the first time since the hero of time. anyway in the twilight princess timeline, they hero remained and they were able to properly execute ganondorf via the sages when he returned (referenced in the arbiters grounds cutscene) so they would likely expand the temple of time in such a way that commemorates these sages and pays tribute to the legacy of the hero that they still feel the effects of to the time of their building the tp temple of time, unlike that of the wind waker timeline where they suffered due to what would be the absence of the heroes legency and maybe even the sages.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
And hey, I had no idea about these other composers. Thank you for letting me know!

Oh thank god I found a new underrated channel with long form videos and a charismatic speaker I’ve been needing a new one of these.
3:35:19 The symbol always made me think of Vaati's wind god form for some reason.
I think I found the source of my entertainment for the next two weeks (evilly rubbing my hands together)
Twilight Princess has the best dungeons, bosses, and companion. Story is decent and the music is really good.
Some of the tears are a bit annoying after you already done a few but it’s always fun especially when you can switch between hylian and wolf at will
I love this game and gave 100% it twice. I also love that I have gotten the best sleep falling asleep watching this the last 3-4 nights.
I love how the repeated question of "How is link this strong!?" can be answered with the words; Farmer Strength
