Veressa agreed at first, but eventually told Anduin, who chose to not let the assassination happen. Veressa then sent a letter to Sylvanas, which struck Sylvanas pretty deeply, and she vowed to never again love her sisters because 'Love is weakness and made me soft' and some other edgy bullshit.
