@@newfacepaula garrosh wasnt bullied wtf. his story after burning crusade was corrupted and crapped on by bad writing. his storyline was a good and entertaining one in burning crusade where thrall helped him with his daddy issues and he was going to be a fair and just leader of the horde to honor his father's courageous death.
then in wotlk(the beginning of the end for wow as a decent storyline) garrosh was suddenly focused with taking out the alliance and taking over azeroth.
it was complete bullcrap and a bad storyline. whats left of blizzard entertainment is slowly starting to realize the mistakes that were made. however it might be too late already to repair the damage.
@@oscarguerrero8473 orgrim doomhammer died trying to cleanse the horde of the shadow council's treachery and corruption, so he gave his hammer and warchief title to Thrall in hopes of finishing his quest. that is what originally made green jesus a good character story. blizzard ruined that lore.

To protect home and family, to preserve balance and bring harmony.
we got an answer to that question several expansions ago.

@@lovepeace230 not necessarily. She was brutally efficient if you ask me. If she allowed a cycle where an inexperienced guardian took over every 30-50 years. For all we know they could have been over run or messed up far worst centuries earlier. Aegwynn's whole rationale was to take the fight to the demons and she did ultimately take out a massive army as well as an avatar of sargeras, granted she got infected in the process. But with another guardian that massive demon army could've just won right then and there.
I even forgot while they were being so dramatic.. :)

MegaChickenfish I wondered since the expansion came out, is Kul Tiras still angry at Chen Stormstout? He did help the horde with killing Daelin.
@@socatoansoldier9984 Chen is notably absent, he didn't join the horde like Rokhan and Rexxar did so it's hard to know for sure but Rokhan and Rexxar at least joined the rebels in the end so I'm sure that might improve the Kul'Tirans' opinion of him by association.
Actually that was the open-ended question (though the exact quote was 'What is worth fighting for?'). The answered question was 'Why do we fight?'

This cinematic highlights the true love letter BFA was supposed to be. Anduin and Saurfangs conversation highlights the key faults in the history of both factions throughout the entire franchise, ending with Anduin asking the question that in MoP we were given

@@tomato1685 right after he died, Sylvannas Killed herself. Upon reaching the "afterlife", all she saw was complete darkness filled with screeches and claws, a classic purgatory-like torment. After agonizing for a moment, she realizes there's someone else there, a wdesperate and weak soul being tortured by the shadows; that wretched soul was Arthas. So, no redepmtion at all for him.
@@romulo.silveira If you read the books you would know that perspective is important to note. It's clearly stated that after sylvannas attempted to kill herself she was brought to a reality what she percieved to be the afterlife. It's never clearly stated if specifically Arthas's soul went to this "tormented afterlife" all that we are told is from the perspective of Sylvannas (whose ark hasnt completely finished).
The redemption again if you've read the books or played the game was the fact that Arthas's humanity was brought back to him right before he died.
Look at 0:17-0:19. It looks like the old Arthas Model. The hair and armor is different and the cape is blue.

All these in game cut scenes, Anduin looks like he's 39 with a failing marriage and a mortgage. Like... can't they make a younger human male template? 18 year olds don't have smile lines like that.

Thank you, World of Warcraft team for writing and producing this great cinematic. Definitely a step in the right direction. I really like how it's heavy on the dialogue and bringing out character motivations.
Anduin should have mentioned Fandral Staghelm as one of the Alliance characters with a bad track record. Saurfang would relate to this given their parallels; both were supreme commanders of a grand army fighting the Qiraji of Silithus, both had a loving son whose premature death broke them emotionally.
Love the vid! I love how they used the original theme song of WoW in the Video hehe.

Both these leaders make good points. The Alliance and Horde have both done horrible things. Neither is truly innocent. But there's a difference between remembering the past and letting it rule you in the present.

Remember when the cinematics was just a bunch of characters representing the "players" and their different races and classes. Retail WoW has become this soap opera epic where the player is supposed to be the catalyst or the big part of the story, while it simountanously tries to push the "main characters" as also the driving forces in the story.

I get chills every time! It's storytelling in cutscenes like this that continue to peak my interest in WoW.
Funny seeing Rexxar here, seeing as how his main reason for joining the war was because he wanted to fight Jaina.
Ah yes, Arthas and Daelin... Funny how the Alliance have to go that far back since last they did something bad...
yeah, about time the alliance gets some internal drama. I'm getting tired of the horde being the butt of the joke for the last expansions. Maybe some internal conflict about how the humans don't trust night elves and draenei and we can have a little faction swap(since it seems the forsaken may return to the alliance, it'd be fair to trade xD)
I mean when Anduin keeps justifying/retconning the stuff he’s okayed as “orders misinterpreted” or good because it was the Alliance who did them then sure. I mean Battle for Daz, preemptively having Spy’s attack Civilian Miners and surveyors in the wound and giving Genn the go ahead to attack the Horde in Stormheim and assassinate their faction leader during Legion still happened but it’s aokay as long he’s in charge.
Yeah, some serious Mary Sue faction here.
I actually wish Vereesa/Tyrande to go Daelin 2.0 and then there's a rogue Alliance faction with Danath, Muradin, etc. and we would have to kill either or both after defeating Sylvanas and loyalists
The funny thing is the pandas have already told them all this 5 years ago and any representative from their race isnt even mentioned or seen amongst the leaders...
Yeah, but then they'd be Pandaren to the masses.
BFA had so much potential to be great
. . . This might be interesting actually. Like what they did in "Sins Of A Solar Empire: Rebellion", where after years of constant strife and war, each faction started fighting itself over what should "Really" be done and splits into ideological factions bent on either trying to find peace for the greater good, or continuing the war due to perceived distrust and cultural incompatibilities.
Yea, there does seem to be quite a bit of Peace Talking with some big-name characters. But we all know more than a few people in either faction are far and above just wanting the constant war to stop; they want the entire other side annihilated with no mercy. Grudges dont just disappear overnight, and with sleights happening left and right, it is as Taran Zhu said: "Every reprisal is itself an act of aggression, and every act of aggression triggers immediate reprisal!"
It would just continue the cycle of sheer warfare.
Breaking the cycle.... until next expansion when some arbitrary conflict inevitably arises again

I think they're in dustwallow marsh, given the gloomy and sort of lushy area around them... I haven't seen that many trees anywhere in Durotar

Battle for Azeroth seems to be a deepened version of Cataclysm... alliance and horde kill each other and when the bigger fish come... they seem immediately forget the hatred join forces together...

Maybe this was the faction pride blizz were talking about, not some faction decimating the other, but both factions standing as one against evil like what Anduin and Saurfang said "Right now there are only two forces that matter, one bent on harming our world and one that will protect her."
Ogre: How about a side of Gnome, with a Goblin main course?
So...it's an axe-wielding Warrior dwarf and a marksmanship Hunter blood elf (possibly named Legolass).

It could eventually happen. I can see Thrall taking him under his wing now that Varok is gone. In time, he could become Warchief. He seems to have the demeanor/qualities that Varok, Baine, Thrall, and Vol'jin admire.
Imagine gameplay at this kind of level, they sure can make em cinematics lately.
