That’s because none of us wanted to see John lurking around North of the wall. We wanted him to be king. We wanted the Prince That Was Promised to actually mean something. We wanted the fact that he’s a Targaryen to actually mean something.
Yep, and a show-runner made it mean he is a cheap assassin (Daenaerys), and meaningless as Geralt was in Netflix's THE WITCHER. As if that could disappoint anyone, eh?
That was the biggest disappointment in game of thrones in my eyes , all these clips of Jon parents leading off untill the end … to mean nothing … even drogon respected Jon snow when he killed the mad queen … Hodor scene broke my heart … but man wen they sayd Jon has to get deserted and abandoned after everything he did for the “realm” that made me cry like a bitch right there
" None of us" bro shut the fuck up lol I would LOVE to see that. Why? Because I know the extended lore. There's SO MUCH MORE beyond the wall. Many mysteries to unfold. The way the last two seasons of GoT were handled sucked ass. And John's story should've altered more to THAT plot. But I think his story has potential to mean more beyond that climax. I think, thematically, John always bonged to the North. Beyond the wall. It's there in the show. It's there on the books. But the writers of the show didn't onto how to get there properly. But his ending felt right despite that. So yes, John beyond the wall after the events of GoT was good. That's why GRRM was on board. Because that was his destiny. I doubt John will end up King at the end of the book series. He likely will use it to his advantage and make for good political strategy, but he will ultimately denounce his crown and go to the north, because, as he famously says, he doesn't want it. That's HIM. That's his story. That's his personality. So I was excited for a show with him beyond the now nom existent wall because it would essentially continue his story where it would naturally end, books and show.
I can respect the fact that they canceled it due to not being able to find a compelling story. So often do networks just greenlight projects for a cash grab without paying any respect to the story or characters.
@AnthonyJ504 Exactly, no one really wanted House of the Dragon and it's done great, mainly because they have the source material again and they made it back in to the 'political drama disguised as a fantasy sereis' that it originally was. I think continuing with House of the Dragon and then the Aegon the Conquer prequel is the best way to expand the GOT universe in live action form. The finale of Game of Thrones should just be left before they mess about with a sequel and make it worse with no source material and an on screen universe they already have made way too complicated and unsatisfisfying for fans.
"It sounds like George RR Martin was not helping develop the show..." He's still trying to figure out what happens to Jon in The Winds of Winter after 12+ years. Get in line, HBO. xD
😂 is anyone still waiting for the last 2 books ??? Give up !!! I’m pretty sure George is tired of the books and prefer to help writing the short stories for the shows … more cash on his bank account 😅💰💰💰💰💰
@@Horus070 I'm still waiting... I am the bibliophile in the darkness. I am the reader on the walls. I pledge to wait for this night and all nights to come. (Yeah, I'll show myself out. lol)
A series about Robert’s Rebellion will be an absolute smash for HBO. Not sure why no one is talking about that. It is also directly related to the main series, and there are some story points that are still not clear which they can exploit (like the Lyanna/Rhaegar elopement).
Plus they already cast most of the important players (Lyanna, Rhaegar, the Mad King, young Ned, Arthur Dayne) in the main series, so get them back, find a stupidly charismatic, huge MF to play Robert and they're all set.
@@rafaellago172 That's the biggest risk there. Adult Robert and Ned were such an awsome duo, The risk of audiences seeing who ever they pick as miscasts, might be what holding HBO back. And those peple you mentioned, were cast as minor roles with barely any lines, are they good enough? Duno...
What did you honestly expect from a Jon Snow show? Like they said, there is nothing there. Kit just made it sound like Jon is a mopey no ome just stumbling around
Kit literally was talking to the audience about what went wrong with Jon’s character development in the main show, not why there should be a spin off about him. Yes we never saw him coming to terms with his Targaryen identity - one of the things everyone was upset about the ending. Sorry, too late.
They need some type of show to fix season 8. No matter how many successful shows they have, fans will always be left with a sour taste in their mouth because we know all these roads lead to sh*t and the travesty that is season 8. Every time they mention the dagger on the show or the prophecy, I die a little inside. Why not make it so that the white walkers weren’t really defeated and the Night King is living through Bran or some sh*t? Literally ANY ending would be better than the one we got from D&D. Retconning the last two seasons would be even better. I don’t think HBO realizes how much respect they would gain overnight if they made the bold move of retconning and removing the last two seasons!
Exactly. After the atrocities that were GoT S7 and S8, I pretty much lost interest in the entire franchise. And this is coming from someone who was really invested and read the whole series up to Winds of Winter. I didn’t even bother watching House of the Dragon because I don’t really care anymore.
Meh, sometimes shows end badly. It is what it is. That whole petition to redo the last season was pathetic. No one is owed an ending thats to their liking.
@@keithchiang9770 True, the petition was cringe and no one is owed an ending that is to their liking. But as paid subscribers to HBO who spent dozens of hours of their lives watching the show, they ARE owed a quality product and not something that was objectively dogshit.
@@SSPspaz How are you even bring up only S7 and S8? Literally went to crap halfway into S5. The dialogue change is ridiculous, not a single character were even remotely written smart after the divergence of the books.
The story they should tell for Jon Snow is this: Jon seeking answers - About Bran - About the magic - About why his little brother was murdered essentially - he seeks out clues about this magic with Sam Tarly’s help and they run around the North and other important locations essentially being detectives trying to save Bran from the crazy entity or magic and when they finally find a way to do it they go to Sansa for help because as the Stark Queen they need her blood 🩸 to help perform the rituals but there’s a catch - this ritual COULD create a schism and unexpected consequences like the Children and the 13th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch found the hard way. All things come with a price but as someone who has been brought back to life by dark magic - and a Targaryn - he is a true believer and as someone who has lost essentially everything he has nothing left to lose. As side bars they could awaken the ice dragon whispered to be slumbering or have eggs hidden underneath Winterfell through Jon’s abilities like Danearys birthed her dragons. They would of course have to battle those who thought they were doing the right thing trying to catch Jon and send him back to the wall since he is banished and illegally in the south investigating AND as a mirror between their two linked fates - while he wakes his ice dragon Drogon could have taken Dany to the Red Priestesses who also return a very pissed off Mother of Dragons to life. Oh and in the end EVERYONE would know that he was a Targaryn and the true King of the seven kingdoms but by then would he be considered a hero or a villain - will he have saved Westeros or Created the very scourge generations of his family fought to protect the people from?
That’s the only thing that will peak any interest. I mean I’m not going to lie, I’m getting bored of House of the Dragon this first episode was a little weak.
Not enough source material on Valyria and it takes away the mystique of what actually happened to Valyria. But they could do the conquest just hope they don’t change the characters🤷🏽♂️
@@MiguelitoNe8rito Agreed, I think making a show that takes place in Valyria would ruin it. The mystery is one of the best parts, it's not a place we should ever see on screen. Same with the Long Night. I don't know why there's this urge to just milk every possible thing that happens in the backstory and turn it into a TV show.
I would have loved to see Jon Snow’s story continue along with the rest of the surviving GoT characters but if they don’t have good material for a successful series then it’s understandable.
just a thought off the top of my head why dont they make some good material off the top of their head? are they really just saying "yeah cant really come up with anything good so im just not gonna do it"
It's good to be picky when it comes to story quality. Flash and fancy effects are fine but if there isn't a decent storyline to go with it, for those effects to build off of, it isn't worth watching.
If the Jon Snow spinoff makes Bran (3ER) the main villain, and they make it about a story about Jon Snow embracing his Targaryen name, who finally claims the Iron Throne, could be interesting. Jon could claim Drogon, defeats King Bran, and realizes that even tho he never wanted the throne, it is his duty in order to keep the kingdoms safe. Aegon the 1st probably had no personal desire to be king, but he did so to protect the kingdoms as well, so the story comes full circle.
I like this idea. It could tie in with Bran the Builder and Bran being taken over by an entity or whatever the moment he totally changed into Skyknet. Fill in some blanks and the evil beyond the wall prophecy would still come true
Valeria would be a great story. How did the steel get invented? How did it fall? What caused the dragon scale? So many things to make a worthy story line but with major details of causes and developments.
@professionalboycottservice7872 it's where the Targaryans and stuff came from, it was basically peak civilisation but then it got destroyed (volcanos I think)
Yeah, my favorite too, but dragons PLUS all that destruction in the Doom would be hideously expensive to do, so I have a sad feeling we'll just have to imagine it.
There’s a VERY compelling story here. The story of a hero who’s been in isolation away from the word for years. Bring in a new younger character looking for him because the 7 Kingdoms have changed dramatically and they think Jon can help. I like the idea that Bran becomes like God Dune Leto II where he uses his Three Eye Raven powers to keep the Kingdom secured but no freedom whats so ever. No one can travel, no one can be truly free because Bran always knows. This would of course be his plan to squeeze the kingdom to accept Jon coming back and eventually usurping him for the good of the people, and finally having a leader chosen by the people to lead everyone. He essentially ends his story as “king” like he was meant to be. It would be cool of Jon ends the royal line and makes it a democratically chosen leader ever decade or so.
I mean f that, why don’t we have a series on the creation of the white walkers, and the children of the forest and the early days of the nights watch!? Like call me crazy, but there use to be a time where Hollywood just needed a simple synopsis and they could make an entire film plot from that. Now it’s like they need to have it spoon fed to them…line for line.
@@missym877probably because film and media in general well over tripled in production since the golden era of “film”. Your show MUST stand out in a world where literal AI is starting to be used in order to pump out films like a factory
That's a lost cause. He'll never finish it. I believe it's going to be a Wheel of Time kind of situation; he passes away and someone else (his estate trusts) will finish it.
@@rafaellago172 As much as I love the series, I'd hope George markes arrangements for that not to happen. Just out of spite. Kind of like when his response to "what if you die before the books is released?", was a hearty middle finger. To quote Neil Gaiman, George RR Martin is not your bitch. Not you specifically of course.
@rafaellago172 Feels like only people who haven't been paying attention say this tbh George wants to properly flesh out ASOIAF as a fantasy epic. Basically he has been doing all the work on the series that Tolkein spent two decades doing before even starting the Lord of the Rings
I think an interesting sequel to GoT that focuses on Jon would be to adapt and rework the Young Griff storyline from the books; Griff, claiming to be Aegon Targaryen, the thought dead son of Rhaegar & Elia Martell, comes to Westeros with an army of Unsullied, supporting Griff as the brother of their liberator Daenerys, to reclaim the throne of Westeros. Jon, is drawn into the conflict when they attack Kings Landing and his brother Bran, and so Jon attempts to lead the wildlings and Sansa’s northern kingdom to aid King’s Landing, save Bran, and confront his would be brother. Just an idea 🤷🏾♂️😂
You know why they can't fight a story for jon that would make everyone happy?? Because they took away his purpose. Jon's entire arc was the night king and they took it away from him in an effort to be smart and "subvert expectations ". When you take away the purpose of a character, you are left with an empty character with nowhere to go and every direction looks forced or chosen simply coz they wanted to.
I honestly feel that after the sour ending of the original show HBO kinda panicked and went the route of get the known popular character to carry a new show, then after HOTD and the success that show brought back to the franchise they didn't need Kit/Jon to carry the universe forward kicking and screaming like they thought they did.
One of the greatest shows of all time…is a poisoned chalice? Forget for a moment how many shows exist now, and how the demand for writers has never been higher, but you seem to think for some fucking reason, that writers wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to write for one of HBO’s most popular shows? Stfu dude, just stfu. So goddamn dumb, so, so, so, SO dumb
@@yeetnama9094 ehh... I think people believe they want the Jon show up North thinking it's gonna be good. That shit would be him up beyond the wall brooding about his queen he killed or some shit, in my opinion, if it was gonna be good it would've been made... Not to mention it's essentially a direct sequel to the shitty seasons 6, 7 and 8 of GOT which I'm good at forgetting happened.
Developing the story would’ve been an arduous task. Even an experienced writer would’ve had a difficult time constructing a story and scripts, especially given that there’s no source material.
Dunk & Egg could quite easily be bulked out with contemporaneous stuff occurring around the same time, that's mentioned in 'Fire & Blood'; that way, we have the more intimate, small-scale adventures of Dunk & Egg- but it can then be contrasted with the 'big history', & the Targaryen Court, with the focal character there being Bloodraven...
I'd rather see it cancelled than have a disappointing story... Like House of the Dragon... Can't get into that one and quit half through S02. I liked GoT, but the only spinoff I wanted was Snow, and now not happening.
Henry Cavill is my pick for the role of Aegon the Conqueror. He already has a British accent and he deserves it after what Netflix did to him on The Witcher.
I get the age bit really who else can pull off that look i am sure henry is fit enough move quick some make up can make him look more than a decade younger or you find someone close enough and then use cavill in the latter stages.
@@joesheppard5960no. That just sounds corny and like a cash grab. We don’t need Hollywood just slapping famous faces onto projects and thinking that’s gonna work. This is like saying Brad Pitt should appear. No.
And Netflix didn’t do crap to Cavill. Ultimately, henry made a rookie mistake and made a wrong bet on the DCU and coming back as Superman. Only to have gotten played by James Gunn. But he already quit the Witcher, and they already hired his replacement. Yes, Henry was upset with the material, but he ultimately made his move based on false intel that he was coming back as Superman. Which he later learned he was being fired from. That’s not on Netflix. You don’t make moves based off words and hand shake, you get your shit in writing. He didn’t.
I would have preferred a jon snow series over a dunk and egg series. I know it will never happened but wouldn't it be awesome if hbo through out season 8 and made another 2 or 3 seasons of GOT and properly end the show. We deserved more than a cliff notes version of a final season, they rushed it and ruined what made the show great.
I think they should make GOT season 9. The first episode would open up and you would find out that that everything past the battle of winter fell Was a vision by Bran and not reality. Then the night king would change his course. That would make him more of a threat if he is able to change his fate to avoid defeat. I also think it would help to alleviate the waste aspect of season 8. The actors jobs wouldn’t be wasted and work
Bran would of been the best villain for yhe snow show. But def wish he would put the shows on hold and finish the books and comics. It would be a tragedy for them to go unfinished.
Thank you!!!!!! He would've been perfect. My idea is when the night king touched him bran died and the night king took over brans body. Basically bran is the night king something like that.
Way I see it is Bran died when he became the raven, and the way the show did it who/ what ever he became has ambitions enough to manipulate situations to become King. Jon could of found something in the north about how the raven became corrupted and now he gotta stop him
@@kennethwright3436 This would be perfect. I think they can throw in young Griff as a Blackfyre and bring back a Targaryen commanding the Golden Company as side villain
Honestlly, what they should be doing is remaking the final season of fame of thrones. Thats the only way to truly heal the wound in the fandom. Everything in this franchise will always be tainted untill that monstrosity if resolved
Would’ve been cool if he went North and his unique blood mix of Targ/Stark aka Magic blood and blood of the first men actually awoke or somehow uncovered that the first men or the bigger factions of the children etc were still around and that they were hiding waiting for the end of the white walkers and the prince who was promised etc etc
Tbh we just need a remake of season 8. With actual proper writing. Like what they did with Justice League where Zack Snyder made a new movie. We definitely need a duel between Jon and the Night king. A better and more logical end to the white walkers story which was supposed to be the main ending story. Make Bran actually do something. I could go on. They ruined so many story arch’s with season 8, including Dany, Jamie, Cersei, Jon of course, and so on.
GOT needs to learn from walking dead and not wait too long or people will lose interest in Jon Snow. If you dont even have his story fresh in your head it fades.
Great point! I disliked the last season but the first 7 were epic imo. So I would absolutely watch a Jon snow series for anything haha. BUT I am not going to wait forever like I did with TWDU. Every time they say we are getting something it takes years to come Out. I am a very unhealthy 46 year old and I’ve already waited since Halloween 2010 to get a complete ending and final answers in TWD but they just keep adding and not answering the original Show & im afraid that I will be gone before I get an actual ending/answer. Lol
Bran and Sansa are the villains, Drogon is lonely and seeks out Jon's company, making Jon powerful and a threat to the south, Varys's ravens reveal Jon's heritage, Targaryen restorationists in Essos want him on the throne
You’d need an arc that would convince Jon he had to take the throne, which with Brann and Sansa in place would be a high bar. Also, remember Jon has enemies in Essos too. A show that didn’t give us an epic grudge match between Jon and Grey Worm would be missing an opportunity.
Drogon brings Dany to bravos. Red witch revives her. She goes to war with Kings Landing and the North. Jon finds dark sister and forms a second Targaryen-loyal army composed of Westeros. Drogon is revealed to be aware of dragon egg locations. Jon’s army steals a couple, the Targaryen wars and dragons all begin to exist once more. Such an easy thing to think of.
Anything that attempts to continue off of season 8 is garbage the reason house of the dragon is so good is because it happens before season 8 and they are doing a excellent job at making it accurate and good writing.
@@yeetnama9094 HOTD is phenomenal you should check it out. and it is based on actual george rr martin material. this jon snow sequel would be utter c.rap written by hbo writers. Dunk and Egg is also written by grrm. But fine, I guess you don't care about that for some reason.
@@yeetnama9094HOTD is phenomenal, it's the best game of thrones content we've had in years and years Dunk and egg I do agree but I'm just gonna trust the process
Why would you want to see it? His character was reduced to nothing by the end of s8. The wildlings follow him now and the white walkers are gone forever. There's nothing left for him to do but wander north of the wall aimlessly.
My assumption is lack of material to adapt since the story pretty much was wrapped up though I can see the possibilities for more things to be added for the sequel
I always felt the only sequel series that would make sense would have been Arya exploring what was west of Westeros. Everything else in Westeros was fairly wrapped up by the end, love it or hate it. Bran was in charge of the South, Sansa in charge of the North and Jon in charge of the far North. There's no where really you can go with that; the next sequel would have to take place decades, maybe centuries later when a new threat emerges. But exploring other islands/countries on the word by Arya, that could have been a great show.
I don't want anything taking place after S8. That'll just be more reminders of how Dany randomly went genocidal, basically bolstering the wheel instead of breaking it. Nooooo thanks. Prequel is the only way to go.
The villains of the Jon Snow show could be Sansa and Bran who now are corrupted by power. Jon would now need to restore himself to the throne as he was meant to be.
Everyone wanted Jon to be king. “The prince that was promised” promised what? To be freezing his ass off north of the wall after saving the world twice. Nawh.
@@WORMbig56 are you brain dead or just being disingenuous? Why was Dany even there helping? What would’ve happened to the world after she got the throne?
Wait; so you're telling me a series was cancelled because GRRM can't be bothered to write new material for it because he's too busy writing lore for Elden Ring? Color me stunned.
@@caseycolson4252 Elden rings lore is amazing! I’m sure you’ve already heard that fromsoft write their lore like that on purpose so people can fill in the gaps themselves and therefor makes the world feel more alive in peoples minds, I actually think it’s a pretty genius way to get people to fall in love with something.
If they think they couldn't find a "compelling" storyline for this, then fair enough I suppose, but it's kind of odd to me that they decide to cancel a spin-off series about the most popular Game of Thrones character that would more or less have built in demand from fans, but green light these series' taking place centuries before the events of GOT with no characters any fan of the original show would even be familiar with.
If you watched the original series, the you should at least be familiar with A LOT of the names…Rhaenyra & her (half)brother Aegon, Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters Rhaenys & Visenya, Ser Duncan the Tall, Baelor, etc were all mentioned in the show AND the books.
@@carastone3473 Well sure, to some degree, but typically spinoff series follow main characters from the primary show, and it just seems like a casual fan would be more likely to follow a Jon Snow spinoff.
@@BnaBreaker Coincidentally, the series that were given the green light all come from original material written by George (unlike Bloodmoon and Snow, of which practically everything had to be invented from scratch). Clearly I can't know for sure, but you can sense that they're having trouble writing something completely new that works that wasn't already designed by George. And I don't blame them, considering how it ended with the Night King, it will be really difficult to write something that makes sense and doesn't seem very forced.
I think you could tie together an Arya and Jon Snow story -- Arya shows up in the Gorge with a fleet of strange ships, seeking Snow's help because blah blah some terrible thing in the unknown Western land, and Jon now has Drogon, etc. Something-something. I really want to see the Doom, but that couls be difficult to write a story for, and it would be FOOKIN expensive.
I did not like the character of Bran. I was not happy with the last Season of GoT. Jon Snow’s character deserved better as the Prince that was promised.
If you can't find a story then you have bad writers. Hire new ones until you get a story. Are you telling me there is a shortage of writers in Hollywood? I can write. Took it in high school, college, & am published. I would LOVE to sit down & hash this out. I find this LAZY. I want this show. If you want it bad enough you'll do it. Thats why I can't stand GRRM not finishing the books. JUST WRITE.
Thanks. Lots of good stuff. I could do without Dunc and Egg. A show about the Long Night was a bad idead. Who wants to see a series about Flea Bottom? Nobody. Glad they went with HotD and Aegon the Conqueror. I would have liked to have followed the characters from GoT. But, it's always risky when they don't have material from GRRM to base it on. I can't get enough of the world of Westeros. So, it would be fine with me to have more than one series in production at the same time, as long as the quality is there.
My problem with HOTD is that it’s all very same-ish. What was so engrossing in GoT was all the variety of different cultures and power structures that had evolved due to each kingdom’s unique environment and history. HOTD does not have the same complex dynamics at play in them. Arya’s explorations could provide that. Does she then open Westeros up to threats from the west? Or does she become the threat from the East to them? Exploring themes of colonisation would bring in a whole other audience beyond the jocks who love a story about war and conquest. There is HUGE potential in combining Arya’s travels with Snow and a continuing story of how a god-king functions in Westeros.
Here is an idea for you; the magic wall started melting since the ancient threat of white walkers no longer exists. This in turn uncovered deep caves underneath the surface with giants / children of the forrest being frozen for generations, which also implies their share in the wall’s existence. Turns out north of the wall has very rich commodities and all of greedy Westeros now race for their share. This would explain why Bran sent Jon back to the wall. He will soon realise that the world needs him and he cannot escape the burden of the iron throne.
@@marksaunders3723 we don't know what happened with the bloodmoon series. And there's plenty of good writers who could have made this show work. HBO just chickened out.
@@blackdragon6 If there are so many good writers to make the "idea work" then where are they? Why didn't Kit bring them with him? The answer is what i've been saying, without GRRM's source material, nobody can replicate his style and his ideas and book-Jon is very different from show-Jon, so George probably hasn't figured out book-Jon's ultimate fate yet. Show Jon is a poor parody at best.
Considering what disappointments Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow became as the series drew to an end and how the majority of the truly interesting and intriguing characters had been killed off, I am not sure how much of a loss this truly is.
Cause the end of GOT made all future projects of the current GOT timeline pointless, its not what we want, it has nothing we want from the books. The show ending has no pay off and its not what we wanted for, why the hell would we want to see Jon going to the north? Useless, Jon has king? maybe we would watch.. Jon is dead having a sweet tragedy of an ending? awesome. But Jon being an outcast killing Dany after all of that shit? nah im good
If I have said it once, I've said it a million times. I want the Doom of Valyria. Not as a Tv show. A feature film. Jons show being shelved, well yeah... but I also feel it's the only way we get to know how Drogon is too.... poor thing lost everything in GOT
I need to know more about the Night King and White Walkers. How did they raise those babies they converted? What were they doing all along? I wouldn’t mind an anthology like or standalone series of them focusing on certain plots or stories.
I hated the ending of lost and think got ending was worse. It just seemed like they tried to force a bunch of shit and it didn’t work at all. Lazy and sloppy. Such a waste
Im so happy they canceled this, this isn’t Jon snow there is no story here and this character they created is pointless. George needs to finish the god damn books so we can have compelling story.

Snow ❄️ in Dorne 4. Dothraki and Wildings fighting a little bit then together vs the ❄️ Wight Walkers. 5. Bronn betray Tyrion. 6. Arya and ⚔️ Jon spar. 7. Cersei kill Jamie. 8. Melissandre 🔥 freeze to death 💀 by the Night 🌙 👑 King. 9. Qyburn weaponize Dragonglass and Wildfire 🔥 into a chemical 🧪 weapon 10. Forces of Essos, Merreen, Yunkai, Astapor join fight.
If this show ever gets made the only way I would ever watch it is if they they bring Emilia Clarke back as Daenerys Targaryen so she can take her revenge on that heartbreaking motherfucking traitor Jon Snow for killing her in the final episode.
I dunno. There's a story there. Like, a political one...maybe something like the north and Wildlings trading with the six kingdoms? Him being forced into diplomacy? Probably wouldn't last more than a season or two, but one of the best things about GOT was the political intrigue. Of course, you'd need a talented writing team.
I could write a compelling story for jon in my sleep. 1. Using first men stark blood to unite the free folk 2. Reuniting old Valeria 3. Retaking his rightful thrown 4. He turns bad because of is targarian blood 5. Sam comes and finds him because bravos has become over run and all the maestrrs are dying 6. He finds a sword that starts to turn him into the night king 7. Since he was raised from the dead the fire god sends more priests to make him be the prince that wa me promised 8. Saunsa stark turns evil and he has to take the north from her 9. He remakes the nights watched and calls them Targerian Dawn and they fight what’s north of wall. This was 2 seconds of thinking
I'm actually glad they canceled it. I don't know how compelling a story that would have been. Now give me the story of Author Dayne with a final episode of him fighting young Ned...that would be compelling.
that was such a right thing to do, i thought of all the possible futures of this spin-off and none of them included even slight rewrites of season 8 ending, and that's what people would tune in for in the first place, not some sideline Jon adventure story
Jon Snow was a bad character imo. He wasn't complex. He was very vanilla. He dies and comes back. Then after that, about to die like a 100 times and gets saved miraculously. He was like a superman.
It's cancelled because we the majority stand with the only ruler we recognize, Queen Daenerys Targaryen 😌 The First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khalisee of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons. 😌 The cancelation of his show is our revenge.
Only way I can see them producing a series taking place post GoT S8, is if they centered it not around Jon but around Bran and Sansa’s reign. We see how things are in present Westeros but maybe people have a major problem with how he runs things, or vise versa with Sansa. An uprising begins and that would be what demands Jon to come up from the North and be re-introduced to main Westeros. Just a thought.

That was the biggest disappointment in game of thrones in my eyes , all these clips of Jon parents leading off untill the end … to mean nothing … even drogon respected Jon snow when he killed the mad queen … Hodor scene broke my heart … but man wen they sayd Jon has to get deserted and abandoned after everything he did for the “realm” that made me cry like a bitch right there
I personally feel like Jon snow being north of the wall makes things more interesting. There’s a lot of unexplored things out there
We can just kill off Bran and replace Jon as King. That would work just fine. Problem fixed
Exactly. Demand doesn't equal success. Just look at the last 2 seasons of thrones. Without the right story, it will be shit.

They already did that in GOT last season
THIS COMMENT IT WAS SUCH A CLEAR CASH GRAB
@AnthonyJ504 Exactly, no one really wanted House of the Dragon and it's done great, mainly because they have the source material again and they made it back in to the 'political drama disguised as a fantasy sereis' that it originally was. I think continuing with House of the Dragon and then the Aegon the Conquer prequel is the best way to expand the GOT universe in live action form. The finale of Game of Thrones should just be left before they mess about with a sequel and make it worse with no source material and an on screen universe they already have made way too complicated and unsatisfisfying for fans.

If only HBO didn't let Dumb & Dumber ruin GoT and Jon's storyline, they'd have way more spin off potential.
But at the same time, if it wasnt for them GOT wouldnt be as popular
A series about Robert’s Rebellion will be an absolute smash for HBO. Not sure why no one is talking about that. It is also directly related to the main series, and there are some story points that are still not clear which they can exploit (like the Lyanna/Rhaegar elopement).

Plus they already cast most of the important players (Lyanna, Rhaegar, the Mad King, young Ned, Arthur Dayne) in the main series, so get them back, find a stupidly charismatic, huge MF to play Robert and they're all set.
I’d take aegon’s conquest over roberts rebellion.
Duno...

Like they said, there is nothing there. Kit just made it sound like Jon is a mopey no ome just stumbling around
@@Dan55888 Disagree, you're too keen on Season 8.
Kit literally was talking to the audience about what went wrong with Jon’s character development in the main show, not why there should be a spin off about him. Yes we never saw him coming to terms with his Targaryen identity - one of the things everyone was upset about the ending. Sorry, too late.
Imagine that kit wants to do a show because the ending sucks. He has to go through the guys who wrote the ending lol.

No 😂
Lets be honest the ultimate prequel story to tell would be the fall of Valyria and Aegon's conquest
That’s the only thing that will peak any interest. I mean I’m not going to lie, I’m getting bored of House of the Dragon this first episode was a little weak.
I’d be happy with Robert’s rebellion too.
Not enough source material on Valyria and it takes away the mystique of what actually happened to Valyria. But they could do the conquest just hope they don’t change the characters🤷🏽♂️
@@shoazdon7000I don’t comsider having a mother choose which on
Of her children to murder is a little weak.. episode 2 definitely agree though
I don't...I think it's.anti-climatic
at least for one season
I don't believe in that explanation
just a thought off the top of my head why dont they make some good material off the top of their head? are they really just saying "yeah cant really come up with anything good so im just not gonna do it"
He would have to kill Sansa or Bran for it to be mildly interesting.
It's good to be picky when it comes to story quality. Flash and fancy effects are fine but if there isn't a decent storyline to go with it, for those effects to build off of, it isn't worth watching.
True, hence why I have such low interest in the flying lizard spin off. Every episode of GOT had me making fan art, but HOTD doesn’t.
Yes, but that problem is already known from horror, where brutality and blood cannot compensate for the outright brain-dead story-writing either.
I wish they were that picky with the House of the Dragon. 😂
Unironically interesting.
Nah no one wants that boring ass white savior story it’s not interesting and it’s lame as fuck!
This is a good idea, I would love to see that
He can't claim Drogon, he already claimed Rheagal. He cannot bond with another Dragon.
Valeria would be a great story. How did the steel get invented? How did it fall? What caused the dragon scale? So many things to make a worthy story line but with major details of causes and developments.
Who is Valeria?

In my opinion: His ego problems & denial about his failure to adapt his supposed writing to what a TV show needs are mistakes he failed to correct.

Brilliant. Why can't these people who are paid to write this stuff think of all this?
Nah make Drogon bring Dany to a red preist or priestess and bring her back to life. Story already fell apart lets just have fun lol
You’d need an arc that would convince Jon he had to take the throne, which with Brann and Sansa in place would be a high bar.
Also, remember Jon has enemies in Essos too. A show that didn’t give us an epic grudge match between Jon and Grey Worm would be missing an opportunity.
Nope. Never gonna happen.

Braun is the most popular game of thrones character
I think you could tie together an Arya and Jon Snow story -- Arya shows up in the Gorge with a fleet of strange ships, seeking Snow's help because blah blah some terrible thing in the unknown Western land, and Jon now has Drogon, etc. Something-something.
I really want to see the Doom, but that couls be difficult to write a story for, and it would be FOOKIN expensive.
drogon not killing jon was bad writing
@@desmondliart true that. I guess Jon's bullshit plot armor was still on full swing even right up in the end.
JUST WRITE.
I guess Jon Snow will never know nothing 🤷🏼♂️
Exactly!!
Would be cool to see if a new writer eventually revives the long night series if it's a good enough idea and is worth it.
Hard to capture lightning in a bottle again. GoT was a masterpiece
It sucks jon snow sequel series got shelfed really wanted to see it
There's so many ideas here that they just left on the table. I definitely don't buy them not being able to come up with a story.
There's no source material.
@@marksaunders3723 don't need it, that's what creative writing is for 😭.
@@blackdragon6 Well "creative writing" didn't work so well for GOT seasons 6-8 and Bloodmoon did it? lol
I was looking forward to more jon snow!
He said they might go back to it eventually. I explain what's going on during the video.
Jon is dead having a sweet tragedy of an ending? awesome. But Jon being an outcast killing Dany after all of that shit? nah im good
Well that's just ruined my day, was really looking forward to seeing Jon's story grow
If I have said it once, I've said it a million times.
I want the Doom of Valyria. Not as a Tv show. A feature film.
Jons show being shelved, well yeah... but I also feel it's the only way we get to know how Drogon is too.... poor thing lost everything in GOT
Jon lost 2 of the women he loved! Then at the end he had to go, back to the place he lost, egrit! I feel so bad for jon!
He killed both of them, he didn't lose them.
They need to bring he Jon Snow series out! These movies are fantastic.
Great video. It sucks all Kit's projects keep getting canceled! 🙄
Thanks!
There's one thing I'd like even more than a spin-off about Aegon the Conqueror, it's a series on Old Valyria.
I need to know more about the Night King and White Walkers. How did they raise those babies they converted? What were they doing all along?
I wouldn’t mind an anthology like or standalone series of them focusing on certain plots or stories.
They need to do something...that was the worst ending to a series... I compared that to LOST... I feel like I wasted so much time watching it
I hated the ending of lost and think got ending was worse. It just seemed like they tried to force a bunch of shit and it didn’t work at all. Lazy and sloppy. Such a waste
@myrandommind1691 you were invested like everybody else...it was the worst to a great series...
Im so happy they canceled this, this isn’t Jon snow there is no story here and this character they created is pointless. George needs to finish the god damn books so we can have compelling story.
ikr !!!!?!??!!
Theory
Imagine if the Night King WINS killing 80% of human population, most of our beloved main characters, a few live on to record ✍️ the story 📜 📚 but humanity takes a step backward in technology and cities. Forced to live like Wildlings did. Like humans in Walking Dead 💀 or 🧟♂️ Terminator w Skynet dominance. Second Long Night 🌙 goes on for a decades until a real summer ☀️ then the world 🌎 resets and rebuilds and our heroes are referred to as historical legends like we currently think of the war w The First Men, the Children, the Others... bummer but ruthlessly GoT ⚔️.
TOP TEN things I want to see in Game of Thrones S8
1. Jamie Lannister attaches a blade Valyrian steel weapon 🗡 to his stump
2. The Bloody Gate of the Vale/Eryie overrun by Wight Walkers
3. Snow ❄️ in Dorne
9. Qyburn weaponize Dragonglass and Wildfire 🔥 into a chemical 🧪 weapon
Lol. She deserved it. She earned it & the signs were there all along
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!…😠😡😡
I dunno. There's a story there. Like, a political one...maybe something like the north and Wildlings trading with the six kingdoms? Him being forced into diplomacy? Probably wouldn't last more than a season or two, but one of the best things about GOT was the political intrigue. Of course, you'd need a talented writing team.
it would have been nice to get a sequel after GoT since we have HOTD and now Dunk and Egg is in the works
I could write a compelling story for jon in my sleep.
1. Using first men stark blood to unite the free folk
2. Reuniting old Valeria
3. Retaking his rightful thrown
4. He turns bad because of is targarian blood
5. Sam comes and finds him because bravos has become over run and all the maestrrs are dying
6. He finds a sword that starts to turn him into the night king
7. Since he was raised from the dead the fire god sends more priests to make him be the prince that wa me promised
8. Saunsa stark turns evil and he has to take the north from her
9. He remakes the nights watched and calls them Targerian Dawn and they fight what’s north of wall.
This was 2 seconds of thinking
I’m pretty sure you are a genuis
Valeria lol. Yo mama
I am very very disappointed with this news! I want more Jon Snow Game of Thrones Sequels 😢
I'm actually glad they canceled it. I don't know how compelling a story that would have been. Now give me the story of Author Dayne with a final episode of him fighting young Ned...that would be compelling.
Give us the true king !!!!
All man must serve !!!
Jon Snow is a little poosie. We want Aegon the Conqueror and we want to see Henry Cavill as Aegon. We want it no other way.
You can’t make The Witcher Aegon the Conqueror … I won’t be able to not see the Witcher lol
I was only talking about this the other day. We agreed an Arya sequel would be great.
that was such a right thing to do, i thought of all the possible futures of this spin-off and none of them included even slight rewrites of season 8 ending, and that's what people would tune in for in the first place, not some sideline Jon adventure story
What can we do to convince them we need this?!
Nothing.
The cancelation of his show is our revenge.
What is the scene 4:47 ? That's chilling. I don't remember that
So I guess you can say Jon Snow has to FINISH THE STORY and we acknowledge him as Tribal Chief......I mean the true King of Six Kingdoms Prince Who Was Promised sorry wrong universe
Thanks Charlie.
No problem!
For me Dani was the heart of GoT and now that she is gone it would be hard to make anything that didn't revolve around her and the dragons.
We need a short series or movie. Jon claims drogon, faces a new threat, and saves Westeros from something again. Bringing drogon and Jon together, is the obvious story. Last targaryen and last drogon, mend fences and live to defend the world when threats appear. It writes itself
