I have a meta-theory over the DUNE literary series that relates. By the end of Chapterhouse, Frank reveals in Daniel and Marty what humanity was evolving towards. The couple felt like ascended beings that existed beyond space and time. Which, when we consider how the Kwizatz Haderach and the Bene Gesserait perceived time, and the Navigators manipulate the fabric of space and the Bene Tlilax mold genetics shows the beginning of that ascendency. However after Brian takes over, he expands his father's notes on the Butlerian Jihad to develop the evolved Machine, Omnius. He brings that character forward into the post-Chapterhouse novels, with Erasmus, to become Daniel and Marty. Since the Schools books and Dune Prophecy are Brian's story, Kralizec becomes the "final struggle against Omnius" instead of apotheosis. Hence the "ominous" machine imagery in the titular prophetic visions the Sisters are experiencing.
The rigid social structure, militarism, search for enemies, the uniformed shock troops, the mega corporations, monopolies, and Nazi architecture on Geidi Prime are just coincidences.
Dune, and 1984 are tied for my favorite books. I’m not liking this series at all. FYI, I’m generally not a stickler for any creator’s vision or a slave to canon, although I’m much less flexible when it comes to 1984 because of its importance as a cautionary tale. The Desmond Hart character which so many are taken with, to me, comes off as stupid. I didn’t like this cardboard character when he was named Marcus in Raised by Wolves and played with the same self-aware hamminess and I don’t like him now. I had this same problem with Baron Vladimir Harkonnen in the original novel but at least: 1: he comes off as more cerebral and as an excellent strategist and 2: he's smack dab in the middle of a phenomenal work. Seriously. What the fuck do people see in Desmond Hart? There are times when I think Travis Fimmel is just itching to twirl his mustache between thumb and forefinger, while he cackles his plan to an empty room for the sake of exposition.
Hart reveled a lot by switching from desert brown to Hugo Boss black.
Tula is Hart's mother. That's evident from the preview of the last episode at the end of show last night.
This was the best episode so far...and we know that the Atredies massacre had more than one implication for Tulia
Valya is Harrow Harkonnen's aunt, not his sister.
Also, Harrow hasn't had an independent thought in his head in the series. Everything he did was at the behest of his aunt.
So we have two surviving Atreides that we know of.
Holy shxt!! DESMOND HART is Tula's son!!
I felt like Desmond's character/acting felt totally differeng this episode and I found it rly jarring

There ya go Jessie! My friend, how's *that* for engagement?!?
Really enjoyed this episode a lot! Curious and also a bit nervous on how they're going to wrap up this series.
It's not fascim, it's an imperium,a form of authority held by a citizen to controll a military or a governmental entity.
Fascism is a method of carrying out your plans, not a political structure. It means pursuing violent force to keep the subjects in line...more or less

Prophecy for the prophecy god!
this is so investing
Oh I just watched the latest LOTR movie. It was ok.
🤘

Yeah, he feels to me like a less talkative version of Rainn Wilson's Harry Mudd actually. They're both swaggery malevolent conniving loose cannons.
I have gut feeling that you're woke feminist reviewer ...:)
