- The Vaydor G35 fell from fame as quick as it rose. Funnily enough, people still remember it, and some even still dream of buying one...but only because they still haven't heard the news. No widespread announcement was made, and since I made the most popular video featuring the car, it's about time I put the axe in this dream. If you've been dreaming of building a vaydor these past few years, saving up and not visiting the website until you had the money, I feel bad for you. THis may be the first time you heard about this news. You can no longer purchase the kit anymore. The Valarra kit for the C6 is available now, but I know plenty of folk who purposely bought a G35 to someday turn it into a Vaydor. I can't imagine they'd be happy jumping ship to a more expensive car with a more expensive kit.
NOTE: The owner of Vaydor Kits Matt, sold his design to Supercraft Cars AKA CustomCraftedCars. DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY FROM ANYONE ELSE BUT SUPERCRAFT. They are the only ones who own the rights to the Vaydor right now. I may hate their price, but I can't hate them. If you still want a Vaydor, only buy from them. When searching about, I already noticed a lot of scummy websites with a Panama based address trying to capitalize on the sudden disappearance of Vaydor and fool people into buying a kit they'll never get. Some are even claiming, "They have the last available kits before discontinuation, and thus are selling them at blowout prices to clear inventory." Fat chance. Gone are the days you can get the kit for $11K now. Buy a used Vaydor or buy from Supercraft. Those are the only two legitimate options.

@@INFINITY1421 it's probably heavier than the gtr so it might be slower. That's if they can even fit the engine in it. Plus the gtr chassis is easier to work on and make more horsepower. It sucks cause the kit looks awesome but it is what it is.

Plus, I would get this alone for the fact that Its a LT swapped mid-engine G35.

Everything you said in this video is spot on...Vaydor is dead to me! It's a shame, but the affordable 'diy supercar' dream is officially dead.
I received my Vaydor in October, it's an amazing car. I hear your comments, but everywhere I've driven the car, it has gotten incredible reviews. It drives and handles like a power anaconda looking for its prey. I love mine. There will be thousands and thousands of corvettes, lambos, but there a only approximately 40 Vaydors...Sometimes being different, individualistic and rare is more prominent and attractive than owning a cookie cutter sports car that defines you instead of the driver defining the car. Owning a Vaydor has been a fantastic and at times overwhelming experience. I guess Vaydor owners dare to be different! !!

It's cool to see that this "Kit-Car" Vaydor is still being talked about. When I was stationed in Georgia I literally drove way to Florida Orlando, just to see the car for myself and see the inventor himself I think my video is still up on TH-cam.

Despite all the downsides about the performance and stuff, I still really like the looks of the car. It would be cool if there was a supercar brand that makes a car with a similar design, except it would be the real deal with high performance and stuff instead of a body kit for a G35.

Bro for 150k you can buy in brand new supercar territory, and I wont even talk used cars. Just to name a few for same price or way less: New merc gt, new R8, any new M,RS or AMG car, Nissan gtr, dodge demon, new corrvete C8 in top race spec with 900-1000 hp when it comes out will be less than 150k and thats just some of the brand new ones. Used supercar market on the other hand for 150k is beyond limits; Most of porsches including the 911 turbo and GT3,hell might even find and older used GT2. Lambos; hurracan, gallardo, murci,diablo and others. You can literally find a 458 Ferrari for under 150k, FF's, California's, F430's literally you name it for 150,000$. On the other hand they want to charge that money for a bodykit on a used ancient nissan G35, what were they thinking? Hell if you specifically want a body kit car you can literally get SLC or Ultima RS for more than half the price.

I remember this kit. Was really interested in it back when the guy was posting about the project and progress of it on a forum..... granted I can't remember what forum. I don't remember it being 40k though, even for a finished product.

I agree with everything you said. It'd been cool for the original owners of the company to just do it for fun and potentially turn into something like a Lotus. But whoever bought it sold-out for the movie. Now, the whole business model is just ridiculous.

I don't know... I live in Miami Beach and I see super cars and even hyper cars all the time, but I've never EVER seen a Vaydor. Although, I'm 100% in agreement with your argument. $150K for a G35 with a body kit is like paying $150K for a Fiero with a Testarossa body.

Dude your channel was the reason I wanted this car too, but after 2 years of looking around I got a stinger.
Yeah, my son and I tried for months to get one but they were limited production even before they got sold to whatever company is dumping them out for $150k.
Vaydor was bought out and their prices were screwed. The real Vaydor goes under a different name now but I forgot what it was. They are planning on making a new kit and it looks way more badass than this shitty G35 kit. But I'm not sure how long it will be til it's being manufactured and what the price will be.
@@xxxod Its the Valara. Its mentioned in this video. It runs 30k plus the donor car which is a 2005 to 2013 C6. Which you can find anywhere between 5k to 25k. As of right now, they are installing the kit as part of purchase...this only includes fitment not finish. The install is done in Florida at their garage...andbonly at their garage.
@@vaelen19 It would cost less than a Vaydor G35 kit to import your car there, fly out there, get a finish, and get a C6 Corvette and ship your car back, etc.

@@afoxwithahat7846 well you know big rims and small tires is kinda a problem because when you hit a strong bump or a pothole then say goodbye to your rims. Because they are gonna be cracked. Also with bigger tyres your rims don't get Scraped on the side so easily.
My neighbor bought and built a factory five gtm 5 years ago. The car is a mid-engine Corvette powered supercar and its very fun to drive and handles like it's on rails. Sure the the G35 kit looks better looking but I rather have proper house built supercar that performs like a supercar than one pretending to look like one but doesn't perform well.
I did buy a G35 for this car. I had 90% of the mechanical work done that I wanted. Just missing Twin Turbos and Big Brakes. But then I went and traded it for a Fiat 500 Abarth that will now destroy any stock G35 and most other cars in the twisties. It's a hilarious car that's more fun than anything else I've owned.
Well, there goes my homebuilt car project in flames. I'm going back to making cardboard lamboghinis.
You could get an Acura NSX, R8, GTR, or Mclaren for that price. 😂 Also the C8 is way cheaper.

Yeah the vaydor got destroyed when it was sold. It was so promising and really a nice kit for car enthusiast.

I Agree so much... I was really looking forward to making a Vaydor. I even had that idea of making it with different axles to avoid the 5" spacers... Still thinking about the Valarra... but the C7 are calling my Name. The whole thing is about standing out. At least with the C6 and C7's you can still put on a body kit and still do something with the engine that is already a Solid Performer... Now who wants to buy my G37??
175k and it’s no longer a kit car. It’s a fully built custom Supercar and we do not use spacers....lol. At 175k she is an amazing 800hp beast. Sorry if you missed your chance to buy it as a kit car but the company no longer makes kit cars or kits! We build full production Vaydors from the chassis on up! Thanks for the video though. Can’t have success without haters...

I've always wanted to design my own kit car. I think I'll probably build a custom tube chassis at this point. I'm thinking Audi 4.2 V8 with a 01E 6 speed. Mid engined, of course. I want to take a bunch of inspiration from Rob Dahm's 4 rotor and the Porsche 917.

This is so sad. I really wanted one of these. But for that price, you can get a couple of cars and build them to be better and equally good looking. Guess I'll just get a C6 and put a Valarra body kit on it.
Fun fact, I don't know if its the same with the G35 sedan, but the Skyline 250GT (and 350GT) sedans had an amazing stiff chassis. They even braced across across the rear, meaning the rear seats couldn't fold down. When I heard that you had to cut into the body of the G35 for the Vaydor it turned me off straight away.

Hey, guys! I'm a new car guy and don't know much. But this guy educates me alot about cars
If I bought one I would put in a Ford V10, turbocharge or twin-turbocharge it, improve the front suspension and put in a longer front axle so it is actually physically capable of going around a corner, and improve the chassis. You could probably get it to perform fairly well.
That company made some bad business decisions now g35 owners gotta pay the price but ain’t nobody buying that id rather get a gtr or a used Lambo for 150 k

Its always funny to hear people who think they know about the kit talk about it like theyve put one together or even have touched one. He was talking about weight and the kit being MASSIVE while i can say the roll cage and complete fiberglass body weighs about as much as a single door on the infiniti. ask me how i know :p its a whole lot harder to take one of them doors off than it is when i walked the "MASSIVE" kits from one end of the warehouse to the other. On another note though, the spacers werent needed with the right rims, people who used massive spacers didnt want to go with the same amount of concave as most Vaydors went with. Theres a bunch of other points he obviously has no clue about but other than that it was a very nice video and i enjoyed it. Questions?
