  • EVEN MORE SIGNS That You're growing as a Car Enthusiast! Maybe you're growing so far into being a Car Enthusiast, you actually grow out of being a Car Enthusiast. Uh err, I mean, yeah cars. Cars have 4 wheels, yes. Cars are great. Cars are totally still just as captivating to me now as they were when I started, but I've learned to become more content and less frustrated. I noticed pursuing your dreams is important, but also enjoying the moment is important too. When you dream too hard about a Koenigsegg, you start to hate the Corvette you have in your Garage...just me? No one else? Ok. Well at least I still have 2 wheels I can count on...HaHA PoRSchE mOtORCyCLe go BRRRR. Yes, Porsche made Motorcycles, they also made tanks too. Fun facts of the day, people seem to forget that the 911 was literally just an elaborate Volkswagen Beetle Kit Car. Another fun fact, the VW Beetle was originally created by the BLEEEEEEP Party of WWII Germany. Yeah, uhhh, no more fun facts, ok bye. Scroll up and watch the vid plz.

Ever since I discovered autocross and the people that attend it, I haven't had the desire to go to a single car meet. The car meets in my area are full of clout chasers and dangerous drivers. Autocross, on the other hand, is where I've met some of the coolest people and had some of the best times! There isn't any clout chasing, showing off, or being stupid. Just a bunch of car enthusiasts hanging out, sharing car advice, and driving.

I'm a 19yo enthusiast who just bought his first car last month, and I thought I knew enough about cars. Having my own car to take care of and interact with every day has been a real eye opener for me. I've got a dad who's an accomplished mechanic who knows my car well, and he's been showing me so many more things about how my car works than I could previously comprehend. Bladed's videos have kind of been a reference to how I should be presenting myself to my friends and peers as a car enthusiast, but I've still got a hell of a lot to learn.

My dad bought me a project car when I graduated from highschool. A 1989 Camaro RS. It's about as complicated to work on as a Lego set and as expensive as a set of cheap wash cloths. It's a great project car because you can do "anything" to it. Bitch, even the lightest of project cars are expensive to restore and maintain and more people don't believe me each time I say it. If you have a job, bills, class, etc you'll be clamoring to work on the damn thing at reasonable times. I looked up and it sat for two years before I could safely drive it. " You're not worth the gas." Like it has to be a car that's legitimately worth trying to play with and 99% of the time it isn't. And the conditions have to be right. Even then I might say no depending on what I'm doing. If I'm coming home from work, I may if I feel like it.
Both most of the time I don't. I notice some of my friends when they ride with me get a little annoyed sometimes when I don't like they egg me on. " Go faster, that's why you modded this right?" " Damn, he leaving you....."
And I'm just like, idc about that guy.

Definitely felt this on the gas part… some cars just isn’t worth expending the extra gas lol especially if it’s an Altima or some Hyundai or something similar. They drive like they in race cars or something lol

Enthusiast at heart but not in content (I own a 2001 Intrepid), but I agree with all of these. There's no reason to be in the passing lane 24/7. My father (who owns a 2013 BRZ) constantly drives in the passing lane about 8-10MPH above our highway speed limit of 65 and I am just chilling and enjoying life in the slow lane.
Also, do people *really* not maintain their vehicles? Sheesh. Thought that was the first step to becoming an enthusiast-- knowing how to fix your own damn car.

At the end of the day you can list all the small details that show maturity, but it all relates to one thing, you just have to enjoy cars for what they are and make yourself happy.
Also its not that you shouldnt mod you car, just do it in conjunction with maintenance, my 89 MR2s ECU got fried so now im installing a tuneable one and changing sensors, it accomplishes maintenance and mods at the same time.

You know, number 2 just happened to me today. I went on the interstate for the first time in a while and I just chilled in the right lane out of like 3 or 4 lanes. i kept adequate following distance and noticed it was one less thing to stress about. I noticed on the left and thought "Huh, theyre cutting in and out a lot, and theres more vehicles ahead... oh well." Its really interesting and I dont think I would have gotten it if that hadnt of happened to me today.

I haven't been to many meets this year, due to other circumstances, but I could see it playing out the same because of what you said, Bladed.
I live in an area with clapped out Miatas and Fiestas aplenty, but also a Ferrari 488 isn't uncommon, and you might even see a McLaren F1 or Monza SP2 driving around if you're insanely lucky.
But... I've seem them all. There's a local meet that happens every few months and they've had three so far this year, I've only been to one and it was the exact same as last year.

My biggest sign of vehicular maturity was I stopped trying to over modify my cars. As I got older, less was more for me. Now I can really appreciate a clean, stock car and my personal car only has subtle things like tint, an exhaust and I repainted the wheels gun metal metallic and that was enough to still look stock but stand out

I'm the same. I have the cars I have and couldn't care less about whether or not they have any "street cred". Both are nearly stock, and I enjoy them. Why should I care if anyone else does? I just cruise around alone and enjoy the ride. The few times I've cruised with friends it just becomes a hassle to try to stay together when figuring out a route on the fly. Much prefer flying solo.

I started to find it being a hassle to go there every week just to film videos as a way to grow my TH-cam channel, and it's mostly the same cars that show up. But every once in a while, I get to see some new and extremely rare cars that I've never seen before. This year I got to see a Koenigsegg for the first time. Next year however, I won't plan on going every week, and I will check on Instagram from now on to see if anything new or rare is gonna show up, and that is when I will go.

I mean really, 1 or 2 annoying people can put everyone else in a bad mood and ruin the event. Ironically the car meets tend to be more like friends getting together and catching up rather than talking bout cars.

I'm 24 years old now and I watched this channel for years sometimes you were more relatable sometimes less but I was always entertained. But with this vid I'm 100% with you. Car meets (except classic cars) don't really draw my attention anymore because they either go ratchet or there's too much ego involved. I've gotten more into cars I used to look down on. I'm considering a v6 challenger, I really like the brz/86 etc now. Don't hate the 4 banger mustangs anymore. For me things have less of a focus on performance and more on looks and feel of the car. It's about driving and having a good time. Road trips to the sea with your friends. We've become a fun little mix of cars. I used to own a mustang gt now I'm on an older charger rt. My bro switched from an audi tts to a mustang gt convertible. Next guy now drives a gti and last one is looking for evos. All for of us being jammed into that stang listening to the girliest music you can think of singing along with the roof down on our way to go swimming, that's what cars are about for me now if I had to sum it up.
So I definitely turned into a cruizer. The right lane thing is just pure truth and more people should try that.
