Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
*When I got these I was excited to go fishing **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they were slightly bigger than I thought but perfect for catching big bass here in Florida.*
I grew up in South MD. Pax river NATC. and St. Mary’s river. Cherryfield point. Jax Fl. St. John VI. Where we caught 70 lb yellow fin tuna, Mahi and yahoo. I Lived on Fish. I also get up to Ely MN on Burntside lake once or twice a year for walleye and small mouth bass. I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. Your lucky that you have such an awesome dad. Have you fished in Colorado? I’m land locked now but have some good fishing near Denver. Thanks guys.
I pull dock worms off dock at marina, use small chunks on size 8 hook to catch small (5 to 7 inch) surf perch in marina, then add 1 to 3 surf perch to a jig and drop it to 150 feet to catch halibut and rock fish.... yummy yummy halibut. (FYI, all the divers in Ketchikan I talk to say there are barn door sized halibut in the shallows as well as down deep... they see them constantly when diving for sea cucumbers, etc.)
Awesome idea. I made some salted squid and mackerel strips for my friends and I to use and we have really good luck tipping lures with strips as trailers. Really adds appeal, especially once they soak with a bit of water and soften up.
Hey Skipper I really appreciate your videos, over the past year you’ve improved them tremendously. Your scenes or tight and your comments are focused. And of course your content is very compelling. Thanks much, keep up the great work. Kudos to your partner and your family for participating as well, that’s great! 👍
If you ever come to California to fish, I would be ecstatic to fish with you guys!!! I have been hooked on watching your vids. You are super informative and seem like awesome people. Thanks for what you do!
This was great, been searching for "huntington beach surf fishing" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Wenayden Xenaylee Blaster - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.
Hey skeeper cheers form ny I have a question how do u prepare the salty squid ? If I prepare it can I use regular salt in other words cooking salt I know that salt is salt but I wanna know if the cooking salt is good to prepare or snow salt or what is it
Sorry to disappoint you, in Australia we use this method anything from whiting to whatever big fish you can think of..It's called a Running Sinker Rig..
is that what we call bluefish in europe ? hope this sguid bait works in Turkey i will try for bluefish, We use horse mackarel fish as bait but its not tight bait looses quickly
So this is like a Carolina rig, right? We use that for everything from surfperch and corbina to catfish and trout here in SoCal. A great setup! As for quantity vs quality...depends on the fish and the tackle I have. Some fish are better eating when smaller, but if I have the gear...one big, fast, drag ripper is plenty to make me happy.
I live this video and I would rather catch more little fish then a big one they are so much fun sir and thanks for all you do I hope I can get back out there just about 2 months ago all of my kids fishing stuff and mine and my dad's stuff got stolen so we have not Bern able to fish I wish I had some of your stuff like the fishing pole you got from wish the pull out one I and my kids would love them but haven't been able to do much cause I got layed off from my job but I want to say thanks and I appreciate all you do sir
There's regulations on sizes for fish (according to specie) that you can and cannot keep. Breaking those regulations may lead to fines or serving time (so it's best not to take the risk, especially in America.)
@@JayCapo Oh cut bunker okay Then use braided line 20 lbs on that braided line use a slider for the 2oz sinker at the end of the braided line put on a swivel at the other end tie a 25 lbs monofilament (12") at the other end tie a size 2 circle hook and put on your bait. Good luck
@@ratapaga5963 use a Trolley Rig. The weight is on the end and the hooked fish( bait) is clipped on to the outstretched line. The bait swims near the surface, works great for Big Blues and Stripers...
My son turned me on to your channel, we are all avid fisherman ( including the little lady). We live upstate in Delaware but would love the chance to fish with you down the shore this summer.
Are you ever getting these kits back I would love to get them for myself and for gifts for the grandchildren getting them interested in fishing please do

How do you stop the beads from sliding up/down your line? Do you tie knots as bead stoppers?

Give it that extra edge!
How did u secure the beads? Thanks
What kind of beads are you using to keep the weight in place? Your videos have taught me how to be more successful as a fisherman.
When we lived in Delaware we at your spot many times. We used frozen mullet with mullet Riggs! Worked well in the surf at high tide!
What part of Delaware is this place?
Very good 👍🏼 Thanks 🙏🏻
I like to use floss instead of braid for the tie on the bait.
2:44 you should use bait elastic buy it on amazon it is great
Made an order for a slab of Squidy Bits the other day, can't wait to use them!
Where do you buy those sinker stoppers

Feeding frenzy! Any bait will do.
Always like befor i watch 💜
everytime i cast that rig the leader and mainline get twisted
Make sure you keep a tight line when it’s sinking. Don’t lose track of your sinker.
