Here in the south we call it watermelon boogie woogie.

No it's not country. It's Southern boogie and rock. And he's not just a singer, Ronnie Van Zandt is a legendary front man. I haven't heard any one call Ronnie Van Zandt "nothing special"

Ronnie Van Zant was one of the greatest lead singer s ever. His subtle vocals take awhile to relate to. He's not a screamer, but the more songs you listen to by him, you begin to sense his greatness.

Music is very subjective, you like what you like, but this is by far their best tune imho, closely followed by Tuesday's Gone.
The musicianship here is almost unmatched save maybe SRV or Pink Floyd, and even they may have a bit of an issue keeping up with this.

Early country? This is a blues song, swing blues, boogie feel

They were the best - simply put. Great reaction, but I respectfully disagree with y’all on one point: Ronnie Van Zant was very special. I’ll venture to say that he was the heartbeat of Skynyrd. Enjoyed your reaction.

If you knew Lynyrd Skynyrd, and how the band was set up, saying Ronnie Van Zant is nothing special or just there doing his part, is like saying Jesus was meh, but how great are those disciples! 🙄🙂

The birth of Southern Rock n
Roll, dont confuse it with Country. If you didnt know you could shred on a piano you might want to check out Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Fats Domino these artists were the forefathers of piano shredding and Rock n Roll!!

Don’t insult this band by calling it country! I wouldn’t subscribe to your channel. Talking on top of the piano solo.. very disrespectful
