Maybe it was just down to having the ability to think on thier own? i neither liked or disliked this video , It was somehow missing something but at same time was still very impressive! it's time people just accepted others opinions whether or not we agree! it's what makes us indivduals and not sheep!

I just heard the Cleveland orchestra under Jukka Pekka Saraste do this in Severance Hall in Cleveland a few days ago. It was a fantastic performance, but I still think it sounds, or at least Jonathan makes it sound, like it was originally written for organ and the orchestral version is a transcription. What a performance. What a piece of music. Gets right to the bottom of one's soul. Bravo!!

I kneeled down at 1 AM (UK time), Sir. Because ...ej ! Dear Mr. Scott... what a souvereign, warm hearted and perfectly translated performance ! It is so courageous, to transform especially this famous composition - and performing it all alone out there, without any registration- assistance or at least someone switching the manuscript pages... Parecelsus would spend the loudest applause, preaching his Alchemy: ''As an Alchemist, you are part of the initiation, To reach Gold in the end, you must do that All by Yourself, your are part of the experiment !'' Obviously, you were successful, Sir, because your work is absolute world class... with the same dancing lightness on the Grand Padal, as Simon Preston once performed in the Altenberger Dom 30 years ago...
I am glad, that St. Lambertus in Düsseldorf could offer your Masterwork an adequate instrument, perfectly serving your intentions...
Therefore (normally being a Klais-fan because of Cologne Cathedral, Altenberg, Himmerod Abbey and others...) at 2 AM (mid-european wintertime:),
I kneeled down again, ...this time direction Schwarzach in Austria to Rieger Orgelbau... and worshiped: what a Masterpiece of Organ Construction, dear neighbours deep down south :) !
Life is so beautiful. Thank you all, being involved in this unique Beethoven Interpretation - he will like it ...and smile up there :) A broad smile !

For Klais organ fans Jonathan has performed this piece on a very large Klais organ in a concert he gave at Echternacht Basilica in Luxembourg about a year ago.
If you watch his vlog entitled "IN FAIR VERONA & LOVELY LUXEMBOURG - SCOTT BROTHERS DUO ON TOUR" the second half of that is all about the organ and the basilica and wth some tantalising snippets of the music.
The organ is wonderful as can be heard in a separate upload of his interpretation of Bach's Chaconne for violin.

I was born in the wrong century, wish i was there in person to feel the power of this music played on an engineering marvel. Thank you both for your work to preserve beauty.

Speechless. The transcription is so brilliant that, without knowing better, one might think that Beethoven had written an orchestration of Maestro Scott's epic!

This concert makes one feels that the 5th was originally written for organ. What a magnificient transcription and interpretation. A hearted thank from the South of the world.

Beethoven would have been very impressed by this masterpiece in your hands. Surely he would have loved to meet you and I assure you that you have nothing to envy him.

I’d. Much rather listen to you on the Organ Jonathan with the duo of Tom on Sound and Lightening than a full symphony orchestra any day, You Are the Symphony Orchestra, Absolutely Stunning. Utterly Brilliant as Always!! I can Listen to You All Day, Every Day, such is Your Magnificence. I can’t find enough superlatives to describe my feelings to You and Tom!!

It’s raining, it’s dull and the news is depressing. Thank goodness for the Scott Brothers who have been the best thing in lockdown. I hope they have a wonderful Christmas and a better new year. Thank you 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️

It is like watching someone playing Flight of the Bumblebee while tap dancing and all at double time! I have several recordings of Symphony No. 5, and this is just amazing, a full orchestra wrapped up in one man with one instrument!

If any music is able to touch my heart, it is this! Mr Scott is a very very good artist. There is a good soul in this music.

Dislikes here, can be only out of envy, or coming from very ignorant or uninformed persons about classic music. This interpretation is outstanding , the organ georgous, the sound unbelievabel, thanks for sharing.

This is one of my favorite pieces of all time and I'm always so annoyed how people speed it way up, not giving the listener time to absorbe its majesty and power. But this performance was absolutely AMAZING! This is how Beethoven's 5th should always be played!
