      @Iceman 19 If you couldn't care less, you wouldn't have replied to the guy stating that "you couldn't care less". You would have just ignored the notification of that person's reply and went on with your day. The fact that you decided to spend some minutes of your time to write up a reply and stating how "truth hurts" which is you wanting people to know a view that you have, strongly indicates that you do actually care. You hope that making a statement of "truth hurts" which implies that the guy is lesser than you because he "avoids the truth" would provoke him further because you want to sound smart and draw attention to that smartness. You're basically a little bitch of an attention whore who claims not to be one just to sound cool. You probably love reading your own comments and marvel at how enlightened they look to you. Sad little creature.

      @thomastakesatollforthedark2231 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Renee'tje hah! Maybe to other people but the thing is. We Dutch are an... arrogant people and often times we hate it when people try to emulate or criticise our culture since, to many of us, only we can do it. And our language is no different, a lot of Dutch people know English due to how mercantile we are and often we feel that when someone tries to speak Dutch instead of their native language or English they basically say “you’re (insert language) is horrible so I’m gonna speak YOUR language horribly” and that’s not even mentioning how foreigners tend to mispronounce our words which, to us, are very easy so in essence we feel that instead of letting us just speak English because to the other person we seem to suck at it we are forced to endure the horrible pronunciation of other people.
      TL;DR: to the Dutch, foreigners speaking Dutch is code for “Your language skills suck, let me show you how it’s done” mixed with bad pronunciation of our own language. Sooo yeah

    me: takes french in school for 8 years and can't even communicate
    edit: since everyone is just giving me tips and so, I made this as a joke. i can actually understand most French but I never really learned how to communicate
    I know learning a language is much harder to learn in school, and I could watch some French films, speak with someone fluent in french etc, but school eventually became much harder and I haven't really got any time for extra things in french, so yeah.

      You really need to practice daily to learn a new language and try to immerse yourself in it. I learned english quite easily from video games and then I started watching all my movies in english also when I felt I could understand a little. Eventually it becomes as easy as your main language.
