Mine didn’t come with a batter or charger and I can’t figure out how to load the mag. It doesn’t have a trapdoor or anything like that and it doesn’t have a user manual. I have to wait for my battery to arrive for like a week.

That AK is so nice spoke to the guy on facebook and he explained how the canted sights work within a certain range tried it myself and it works up to like 25m! Can't wait to send my Arthurian Airsoft mk18 to you eventually

What parts do I use? The cheapest ones that don't look like shit. Order store by cost, take the one that starts looking like a decent part. Most of the times it's SHS, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes ONE brand has the improved part (VFC SCAR-H hop chamber, for example, AirsoftCZ). I've used plenty of different full metal rack pistons, or heads, or cylinders, or cylinder heads. There's no magic, just the right adjustment.
Let me get the second kick in on ppl who don’t take the time to properly install the aster, installation is half the issue with most of them, but they do have some other niche problems that make them the imperfectly perfect choice for a reliable build.
Mate this video is so good, more of these please. Big help seeing the workings and issues I may run into the future. I am one of those neady peeps 😂, info more info. I'd watch hours of you working on these machines no probs.

After watching loads of vids and thinking, yeh I'll give the gearbox a go, I mess it up. Had to use my bare feet and hands to put it back together because that arm keeps jumping out of position. wah, give me a parts list I don't want to do the research on my own, wah. Kiddo's sometimes EVEN in the same gun the same parts dont always work. BTW, Luke I almost exclusively use ZCI gears. I recently used the new prommy gears and you talk about the amount of shims required to make them work OMFG!! They do change the entire sound of an AK though.
Man . I just want to know where you get your gears . I love the internal bearing gears but can't find them any more . I use to get the super shooters , and the zci but nither one has the bearing gears anymore that I can find . Help a brother shit poster out .
I totally agree with you 250% with what you're saying and people are sheeps in my brain cause they want the exact same thing but there is a saying what.. 'you want you can't always get' and that plays a massive part in making a custom airaoft gun cause you have to think about not only that peticluar but what will work with it and in the gearbox cause all version 2 gearboxes aren't the same size some are smaller then others,some are bigger and others are in between. I hate sheep people cause your a independent person from everyone else and that build may work for them but it may not work for you. Its all about trail and error to see what works for you.
I hate to be the wanker asking dumb questions, but I'm fixing a buddy's cheap Valkan M4 and of all the things to break the trigger shuttle return spring snapped at the connection. Have you ever seen that before? It really cocked up my plan to fix it because the only way to get another spring to buy a whole new trigger contact set, but I'm hoping my local shop will be kind enough to sell or give me a spare from one of the many orphaned triggers who've been replaced by Titans.

Just got cm518 well happy. No hop adjustment & im hitting 1p @ 8m. Had to paint iron orange,i cant see dam thing. I need to know wtf is that plunger button on the right, below the iron sight for?
The Gate Aster uses optical sensors, right? How does its reliability compare to the Titan and the Warfet? I suppose since there are less functions than the Titan it is more reliable than it, but the Warfet is going to be more reliable because there are no...interesting optical sensors.
My brother bought me a Cyma Cm501, just for fun, last time we messed with this stuff it came in kit form, but i took it apart as its a £99 gun and was hoping to have a play giving it a shorter barrel. But they dont seen to have the standard barrel fittings. Have you come across the sporting series guns, i see you do alot with the platinum series?

Wow i take back every bad word about cyma,just stripped my g&g yesterday as a local reapair specialist shop charged my mate to repair and service this rifle and after me buying it it runs hot, after stripping it down i was shocked to find a heavily worn plastic tooth piston only shimmed half the gears so im guessing that was g&g and this so called repair tech had serously over lubed everything just like in your short vid "how to lube your aeg" im shocked to see cyma using far better quality piston and head, and cylinder and head then g&g. I have taken your advise though and i recently started to advise the same to others. My next fifle will be a cyma and im only going to shimm and lightly lube if it even needs it

I have a cyma platinum 097a, does anyone know which aftermarket pistol grip would fit? The one on it has those annoying little spring loaded clips which are a pain, just want a standard style grip.

Does cyma m4s allow you to switch springs to lower fps? I'm not that techy but I'm willing to learn more about this.
Unless it has a quick change spring listed as a feature you will need to open the gearbox to change it.
