  • In this one hour DIY video we will show you how to assemble the Juki DDL-8700. We cover step-by-step in 8 sections on how to put the table, stand, motor, and head together. Then we show you the basics of operating the machine. We offer the Juki DDL-8700 in the pieces detailed in this video at www.cutsew.com/Juki-DDL8700--...
    Section One shows the unboxing of the items you receive when ordering your Juki DDL-8700 unassembled from www.cutsew.com. One box contains the Juki machine head and the sewing machine servo motor. The larger box holds the legs, tabletop and other necessary items.
    Part Two covers the tools you will need to perform the entire task. We outline the entire list from wrenches to scissors.
    The Third segment explains how to put the table and legs together. Every single bolt and nut are shown to lessen the mystery of what goes where. We explain exactly how to connect the braces to the legs so that the machine is structurally sound.
    In the Fourth Section, you will see how to mount the servo motor to the table while it is still upside down. The technique of assembling it upsidedown makes for less lifting and faster work.
    Part Five details exactly how to connect the operator pedal to the motor so that the machine will sew as expected. Skipping a section like this might leave you with rubbing parts or maybe just a machine that won't run.
    Segment Six explains how to properly unbox the Juki DDL 8700 sewing machine head safely and without damage to the product. You also see all the accessories that come inside this box. You may be surprised that this is where the thread stand is kept.
    Section Seven of this DIY video will show you step-by-step on how to attach the head to the table. There are quite a few small details that must be executed in a certain order. Critical guards are installed to protect the operator from moving parts.
    Eight. In the last portion, we go over the basic operations of your fully assembled sewing machine. We show you how to thread the machine. We also show you how to load the bobbin and adjust the stitch length.

    I was looking to buying a Juki but it would be disassembled and you need someone to assemble it for you. So whenever I need help, I always go to TH-cam. I am so happy I came across your video. You are the best instructor, with the help of your partner who took his time to put it together, you made it very easy to try and tackle it myself. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work.

    Thank you so much for providing such excellent step-by-step instructions. My Juki DU-1181N arrived yesterday with no instructions for installation. I had read that everything is the same as installing the DDL 8700 except the fly wheel, so this was extremely helpful. There were some very minor differences (like the type of screws), but this video was excellent! THANK YOU!

    Is the motor a JUKI part, or is it third party? If the latter, how can Juki warranty the machine when the motor isn't theirs?

    • @CutSew
      @CutSew  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Juki warranty is for manufacturer defects on the Juki head only.

    • @mykalimba
      @mykalimba 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CutSew Thank you the response. It seems like this arrangement creates a grey area where Juki could claim that the machine head was damaged because of the motor, and maybe refuse warranty coverage. That's scary from a consumer's viewpoint, but I guess that's how these machines have been sold forever? Does Juki even make their own servo motor that a customer can purchase optionally?

    I still can't fix my tension on the bottom.

      I had issues with the tension from the belt. I had to buy a smaller belt. Mine came with a 39”. A 38” is a better fit for mine. Mine kept rubbing on the cover guard things.
