It looks like there’s dust on the sensor of Toby’s camera… he needs to clean it or get it done professionally if he’s unsure of how to do it (it’s not a job you want to get wrong).
@@ShiftingMetal awesome. A lot of people were saying clean the leans… you can’t normally see dust on lens elements which is why I mentioned the sensor. As an ex photographer, it was my nemesis with SLR cameras… an air line at low pressure can help, just make sure it’s clear of any moisture.
Good first effort but I really prefer the up & close videos you used to do, everything seems too far away, like watching a movie at the cinema from the very back row 😂 and the sound was crappy too 😢 Also the exposure was way too high and washed out, I understand it was a bright sunny day 😊 Also the spec of dirt in the middle of the lense was doing in my OCD. I really prefer the way you used to do your videos, they were better quality, but this is just my opinion sorry 😣
Massive credit to you for taking on apprentices, the UK needs to do more of this....and well done Toby, great work !! I first saw a Cube on holiday in Tokyo not long after their launch. I was so amazed I took lots of photos, but now they're not so radical !!. Still interesting though.

Bargain. Cubes have some crazy colour schemes - wait until you see the ones with brown shag pile carpet on the dash top... Underbody rust? Flare should be disposed of, in theory. CVT gearbox might have a Sport mode? Many parts common to Nissan Micra. Also available in LWB and 4wd. Love the low mounted numberplate to hide from Gatsos. Just glue the immobiliser chip permanently in its socket?
I would never ever buy a Nissan Cube or any Nissan with that terrible JATCO CVT transmission they are dreadful unreliable fail and cost a fortune to repair the noise hopefully isn't from the CVT transmission because if it is you have wasted £500
Wouldn't appeal to me because it is "different", it would appeal to me because it is insanely practical and affordable. Most consumers just want their cars to be a means of transportation to get them, their families and their stuff easily between point A and point B and not cost an arm and a leg. It ticks all of these boxes.
Ive been after a nissan cube for years but im a skingy sod and wont pay more than £300 £400 for a motor 😂 £500 for a nissan cube is incredible i would have passed out if i was offered that for £500 no matter the condition , im very jelouse lol

Hi joe,it definitely looks like an oxo cube .Quite an odd car I actually never heard of this type of car manufactured by nissan.Been almost 20 years old and probably not a very common model,spares would be difficult to obtain as you mentioned during the course of the video.
Love this little cube, there's a local one to me called the rubix cube and as you can guess it's a cube wrapped in rubix cube bricks it's awesome! Vehicle score isn't bad my Volvo got 700 but marked it down because it was a low mileage diesel yet in positives it said it was low mileage.. which was a little disappointing! But overall it's a good idea
my car restorer has one of these. those headlights are very difficult to get hold of! I searched online, and only place i could find was in Japan and they were secondhand.... £330 EACH!!!!
Timing chain chatter noise is definitely a possibility - K12 Micras of which running gear these Cubes share are absolutely renowned for stretching chains. I love these Cubes but the Cvt transmission and timing chains are weak points. Looks decent enough though for 500 quid. 👍
Nissan Cubes were also sold in North America in left-hand drive. You still see a decent number of them on the roads here in British Columbia. The Cube and another similarly-style vehicle, the Honda Element, have a bit of a cult following over here. Both are very practical. As for mileage, I'm going to guess 200,000 kilometres.
Like the number plate and like the car, don't see many of them nowadays. I like it with the lower coils, you can't lose money on it. My guess on the mileage is 96,000 miles
An old acquaintance of mine had one of these for a short while, most consumable parts are just Nissan generic but what killed his off was the rear subframe bushes which seemed to be completely impossible to find.

The Cube was sold officially in the UK from around 2010-2011 so parts should be available from main dealers.
That was a long time ago, probably don't hold spares for it now, would have to be special order i think.
