@@pyrerock I've heard this argument so many times. Metallica has confirmed THEMSELVES that even they heard a severe lack of bass on the album when they had a little listening party soon after the release. Most of the low end you hear on the album is from how saturated the mid-scooped guitars are.
@@pyrerock buddy I have $250 bass boosting headphones, and am a bassist who knows how to recognize bass frequencies better than the "average" person, and I can barely hear any audible bass, even with a bass boosting EQ as well. This isn't a meme, its an objective fact that even the band and Jason himself recognize. Edit** also, you wouldn't want a better stereo, that would just make everything but bass frequencies louder. You should probably be saying get better subs, as they boost the, guess what, sub frequencies🤯

The justice album was the starting point for my love of the drums even though I dont play them, I often find myself beatboxing or mouthing beats over songs, the awrkward swingy bits that intercut the straight bits are my fav to splice in, vinny paul is my next biggest drum inspiration after classic ulrich followed by none other than Lombardo, nothing quite beats the classics

For a long time that was THE Metallica sound when I thought of Metallica. It was that iconic. I've grown to love each album for its individuality, but when I was like 15 that was the peak of heavy. Still is in some respects.

But puppets has some heavy ass songs too: Leper Messiah, Thingy, Disposable heroes (old song, IMO overshadows the fast ride songs because of the military mass death and dark manipulation themes), Damage inc, hell it’s all awesome but it ventures into the mellow side of things that Justice doesn’t really do except for One. Justice is just non stop rage and grief, I love Hetfield’s laugh in ‘frayed ends of sanity’.
