In this video I show you how to make my No-Show Slip Socks. This is a one size fits most pattern. We like to use a cotton/spandex blend of fabric that has at least 100% stretch in both directions. These socks fit a child size 2 to a women's size 11. Very versatile and with the amount of fun prints that you can get in cotton spandex this is sure to be a go-to on your gift list this year!
All you need is my free pdf template which you can download here: bit.ly/2LedEwL , thread and some scrap pieces of cotton spandex or other stretchy fabric! This project uses both straight stitch and zig zag stitches.

Quite unique for youtube tutorials! My mom always made me wear no show socks in the summer - she said to keep my feet from sweating. I hated the beige colored ones. Now I can use fun colors. wish she was around to see. Mom knows best!

Could you make these with cuddle? My sister would love them!!! She wears a 7, so they wouldnt need to stretch as much.
This is great, but I want to make some from a micro fiber cloth for a white elephant gift for coworkers--so they can clean as they walk! Hopefully I can find something fuzzy and stretchy.
Vanessa this is a fantastic idea. I absolutely want to try to make them however our family have bigger feet, sizes 12 and 13. How could I adjust the pattern to accommodate that increase? I have made many pairs of booties, but not socks. I will try these. I love the neckline on the sweater you are wearing. Is that a pattern or RTW? Would you share the pattern number?
Just a question: My son-in-law has very big feet with a shoe size of 12 in Aussie terms. Do I just lengthen the back to adjust for his size and if so, by how much? Thank you.
Could use a triple stitch for the straight edges. Allows for some stretch plus more strength. You know that. Lol
Indeed but if you have to take it out it would be a beast and it takes longer to stitch. I’m all about speed. Lol.
FYI if you don't have a ball point needle, use tissue paper on top of the seams. I find that I don't have the right needle at times. I sew when eveyone is in bed. When the stores aren't open. So I've learned to adapt. Lol
What like about this project is you can easily put it into an envelope to send as a gift. Thank you.

What would you print it a for a women's 13? My poor girl has such a hard time finding shoes that fits.

Emoretta Robinson I love my brother se-400 series. It’s an embroidering machine also. They have newer version out I believe they are in the 500 series now. Mine is 4 yrs old and still works as the day I got it.

Hmmm. Not sure. This pattern is designed to have the bottom stretch as well and the only non-skid grip fabric I've seen to put on the bottom doesn't stretch so I don't know that it would work but you can experiment.

Love all these videos Vanessa but this one will be really great as all the no show socks I have tried do not fit properly ( I have small broad feet ! ) they pull off the heel & end up all wrinkled inside my shoes 😂
Alison Lee same with the ones I own but I have long narrow feet lol. I haaate it when you’re walking and you can feel them coming off and bunching up in your shoe! Lol. Did u end up making these? I wonder how the seams feel and if they stay on?
Can you use that 100% cotton that is just stretchy on one side?
You need stretch along both directions for this project.

Maybe. Can't say for sure because I have not tried it. Experiment and have fun with it!

I think so... but you would have to be mindful of the placement so that it doesn't hinder the stretch you need. Have fun!

Not sure where you are seeing that. As mentioned in the video you need to purchase the pattern for $0.00. The link takes you to the product page. Do you have a men size template? ?
I don’t. But I just put these same ones on my husband who wears and 11.5 in men’s shoe sizes and they fit... a little snug but they fit. You could adjust the template to make it a bit longer and wider if need be.
