    Live your videos, they have been so helpful to me. Do you have any videos on making vinyl bags such as those that come with comforters? The zippers are at the upper 1/4 of the bag and wrap around the somewhat squared top.
    I don't know how to approach this, and I really need to make a few with the vinyl I already have. Can you help with this info?
    Thank you for your time and and videos. Happy New Year 2020!

    Also instead of using fray check on the zipper u can just run a lighter flame to sear those zipper raw edges.

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That might burn/melt the vinyl

    • @MininosdeSanchez
      @MininosdeSanchez 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Whitney_Sews not at all, just the zipper I've done it a thousand times. Just a second close enough to the zipper raw (cut) edges. The vinyl will be fine. Takes practice but worth it.

    Where do you purchase your vinyl? What is the difference between mil and gauge?

  • @lindajacobs1487
    @lindajacobs1487 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since the ends of the zipper will be trimmed after sewing, you could put a small mark on the zipper to make sure the vinyl is exactly where it should be.

      Yes I backstitched at beginning and ends of stitching but this was over the zipper teeth when sewing the seams. I must have just trimmed too close to the edge on the sides. I will try fray check on the next ones and leave a little more seam allowance. Thanks! ❤️
