Not only are your projects cute, beautiful, and parctical; and not only are your tutorials clear and concise; you know the proper use of "to lie." "The fabric 'lies' flat." "Keep the fabric 'lying' flat." Music to this English teacher's ears. Brava!!

I love revisiting your older videos. It reminds me of projects that I have completely forgotten about. I may have said it before but 11 years ago when I wanted to learn to sew, you were my favorite TH-camr I watched to help me learn. I was wanting to give my daughter everything I made for my 1st grand baby everything I made myself. She now has 4 babies with the youngest 2 yrs old. I have sewn for all the grand babies every since. I now have 8 grand babes with the youngest ay 8 months. I love sewing for all of them.

The best part of your video is clear verbal instructions along the whole way. I find videos that just show the actions with no words a waste of time to watch because it’s so unclear to beginners. So thank you very much.

I have made this pouch a couple years ago as gifts. I saw on FB where you reposted it again. I need a pouch to hold my phone, cards and cash for our Dollywood trip Saturday because I don't want to carry a purse. I just finished the pouch and it will be perfect for my need. Thanks ❤

These are fabulous for so many things... Vanessa, you are one of the best teachers I have seen. You show every little detail, but you continue to flow with a nice peppy voice so it makes you want to just sew, sew, sew. Plan to buy into the organizer class right after spring break and can’t wait.... Thank you for all you do. I sew with my granddaughter and she sells her projects to give money to a Xmas project that gives a huge party to underprivileged children. These will be wonderful for her to make.

Absolutely the BEST teacher, I'm most impressed that Vanessa's teaching style is for every level of experience, whether a novice intermediate or advanced sewist. Vanessa never assumes that someone watching her video already knows how to do the steps in making a project.

I really like the way you have explained how to make this pouch 👝 no dilly dallying around and straight to the point not like others that talk for 5 minutes b4 they even start. Thank you 🙏 I’ve just now signed up. Your pouch is beautiful so I’m going to give it a try 😁😁

THANK YOU for giving the detentions at the beginning of the video. And for getting right into the subject. Don't enjoy having to stop the video to count the grid to get the measurements. Or having to wade through 5 minutes of the weather or each piece of Aunt Martha's fabric stash. that we are looking at. Great presentation. Easy and clear. Don't get me wrong, I understand nostalgia. My mom left me all kinds of supplies. But, well, I am sure I am not the only person who watches videos to learn something new. :)

Hi there. I made this originally using your measurements, & then used old pair of jeans and made it larger (14 x 11) to carry an iPad. I used the adhesive 1/4 inch foam to stabilize it. I’d love to post photos but I’m not tech savvy enough to do that 😋. I love this project!!! Plan to make many more to give as gifts to friends and family. You are an awesome instructor!!!

I am a visual learner and this has made your tutorials so successful and has helped me to understand each step of the way. I love them and have referred my sewing friends to them. This is a great project for Maj Jongg players (with a small adjustment in size); one pocket for their card and one pocket for their $$$! Muchas gracias por todo!

I'm returning to sewing after a break of several years. I used to make a lot of zipper pouches and ALWAYS had trouble with any zipper at the top of the pouch. Now I'm slowly reteaching myself these skills, but was apprehensive about that zipper. Your tutorial here MAKES SENSE and makes it look super easy! Nothing I've come across online is anywhere near as clear about how to handle the ends of the zipper. THANK YOU!

Made the duo zip pouch today. I have been looking for a pouch that I can use as a hip pouch to hold phone and keys when I walk the dog. I simply added tabs with d rings on the sides. I also made a long waist strap that fits around my waist with lobster claps on each end and now I can use it as a hip bag. Great tutorial. Thanks

I like to change purses a lot. These zipper pouches are a get help to me.
I have a purple pouch that I use for lip dew and cough drops.
A red pouch for nail file, clippers, tweezers etc.
Yellow pouch for credit card, license, money etc.
Changing purses is no problem. Grab the pouches, put them in the new purse,
So easy to find what I am looking for.
Thank you for being a great teacher.

Love your tutorials, Vanessa! You are an awesome teacher and you explain the steps so clearly. I will definitely be making the pouches to carry things. And maybe give some away?!😁 Keep the tutorials coming.

I made this today, but I wanted to add a wristlet style handle, it wasn't easy and my machine wasn't cooperating to well, but I did it! I wish there was directions for putting straps on or wristlet straps on! If I knew how to post pics I would! Thank you! Just hope my sister likes it! 😊

Vanessa this is PERFECT for the 10" squares that I bought and didn't have a project in mind. Thank you for coming up with these wonderful projects. This one in particular will be made several times for Christmas and birthday presents that are coming up. A friend want one for her crochet hooks and markers. I hadn't thought of that so I will have to make one for myself. Maybe then I will be able to find the hook I need when I need it.:)

No messing, no self importance just down right great tutoring. Thank you. Just made one for my daughter for back to school for her ask and sanitiser. It’s a bit big for that so could you offer dimensions of all parts for a smaller pouch please? I found the tabs part at the end a little difficult to follow but it turned out ok (not quite like yours) but good for a first try. Think this will be a staple Xmas gift this year thank you so much #staysafe

I love this bag and all the ideas from other viewers are fabulous - the hip pouch and electronics pouch for on the go sound great. I was actually thinking of making this with a PUL lining and using it to shove hankies in. With the extra pocket there's room for a spare hankie.. lol. I'm really trying to get away from using ziploc baggies for everything and find more sustainable storage solutions. This little project will be a big help. Thanks so much for sharing!
