    this looks like a great gift for the D&D/tabletop players in your life! They can store their dice in the bag and open it up when playing for a dice "tray", then cinch it up with all the dice safely inside when finished :)

    Vanessa, I love your tutorials; always quick and to the point, so I'm surprised you took the long way with the math.
    Here's the shortcut for the math (SUPER EASY EVEN FOR THOSE WHO HATE MATH): Just multiply pi (3.14) by the diameter (9.75). No need to divide by 2, then multiply by 2. You get the same thing as when you divide the diameter to get the radius then multiply 2 x pi x radius and you don't have to do the division.

    Very cute and bravo to you and those who will do the math. Me? I have nightmares about being in math class and forgetting to bring my homework so I goggle search "finding circumference of a circle" and a box appears where I can put in the radius and presto the circumference is calculated for me. I love these scrap busters as I have sworn off buying wrapping paper for gifts.

      Robin Glover easy math: pi is 3.14. Just measure your circle across (diameter), and multiply it by 3.14- for example, if it’s a 6 inch circle, multiply 6 x 3.14. (=18.84). So you would cut the strip 19 inches long, and cut off a little when you get to the end of sewing it on. Hope that helps.

    • @Carol-Bell
      @Carol-Bell 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The formula is pi x 2 x r. But 2 times the radius is the diameter, the distance across the circle. A math teacher explained above. That’s why I said just multiply diameter times 3.14

    would a old T-shirt be ok for the knit fabric? i only have quilting cottons.

    • @susanmei9980
      @susanmei9980 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a great idea! I buy those inexpensive cotton T-shirts at the craft stores and make pajama shorts out of them. If you buy two extra large T-shirts ($2 ea. On sale) you can get half a pajama short out of each T-shirt and so I have scraps of the T-shirts left that would be perfect for this! Otherwise, I've had a hard time finding cotton stretch knits to buy; that's why I use this method, but that's also why I don't have any other stretch knits available that would work for this project, on hand. So great idea !

    +CraftyGemini; Hi Thanks For Sharing this Video. Lovely the project but hated maths in school. So I will use my measuring tape to get the circumference of the circle/take the measurement of the one half of the circle & multiplying x2 etc. I'll be trying a few to hold my sewing supplies like threads,needles,bobbins etc in/other stuff etc. So that my bedroom is more organizable. Thanks Again Anyways I look forward to your reply ASAP.

    Without a calculator I would do 10” x 3 = 30” plus a couple of inches. I would cut 32 or 33’ long.
    With a calculator 10” x 3.15 = 31 and a half inches.
