This song is such a bop! This song is probably the highlight of the movie, right alongside with “Love Power”. And I hope this song gets nominated for an Oscar because I want to see Maya and Amy perform this live. 🙏🏻

Fun fact: Daughter of the late R&B singer Minnie Riperton, Maya didn’t think she’d ever be able to sing like her mother did with her voice. She don’t need to! With a voice like that? She belongs on BROADWAY!!!!!
Which is funny considering her vocals in A Christmas Story Live were not good. She obviously had the potential though because she crushed it here. Goes to show that most people have potential. You just gotta tap into it. She did it and she did fantastic 🔥
The only song I loved from Disenchanted. Love power was not original song for me but I cannot deny that Idina Menzel nailed it with her voice. Badder is the best song of the movie.

What makes me appreciate this song more is that in some lyrics you can hear their voices overlap which make sense since they are competing with each other
the orchestration is absolutely mindblowing, the brass and low sax especially
I REALLY loved the song “perfect” from this movie. It really pulled in the Disney renaissance age princess vibes and I LOVE for it. Plus the actress can SING
First of all, the spinning wheel is from Sleeping Beauty, the apple is from Snow White, the rose is from Beauty and the Beast, and the blue potion is from Alice in Wonderland. The three woman in Giselle’s home are taking care of the baby as a reference to the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty. The various other potions… well lots of villains use potions. Second, “I thought that was the chipmunk!” Well yes but actually no. Evil stepmothers don’t have cute chipmunk companions they have cats (which, I guess I am destined to be a villain because I have purple hair and love cats). This could be considered a reference to Lady Tremaine and Lucifer from Cinderella. There definitely are a lot of Disney references thrown into this movie and most of them are incorporated well.
This song is by far the best in the movie. The song quality in this movie isn’t as good as the original, but I think it makes up for it in story telling. Still a very good sequel!

I wonder if you are going to react to Magic of Andalasia, it’s pretty short but somehow very heartfelt. Maybe because it’s the only duet of Edward and Nancy (James Marsden was so underused in this, the audacity of them!)? I really love this song, it shows such good chemistry between them, even though it’s not even about them)

The spindle is Sleeping Beauty, the Rose is Beauty and the Beast, the poisoned apple is Snow white, and there was also a shrinking potion from Alice in Wonderland.

So, here's the issue I have with this. We know from "Christmas Story Live' that Maya Rudolph isn't a singer. So either she was HEAVILY pitch corrected, or someone was uncredited for being her singing voice.
Tbh when I first heard and saw this scene -luckily in english- my jaw definately dropped.I was like:'finally something is happening'

While the song isnt epic between the sequel and first film you can tell Maya and Amy had a blast with this song especially when they are dancing in their hallways. The lyrics are great for roasting someone and also comical.

This is the first time I disagreed with you on some thing. During the first minute and a half you said that Maya Rudolph’s voice became more bratty, but it sounded more dark and more like it was using tongue tension to get that very round sound. It definitely was not more bright and bratty, no matter how many times I replayed it. I know you’re an expert, but I have to respectfully disagree.
I wonder why they are both getting into carriages.
